Chapter 112 Rumors

At the corner of the alley, a mysterious man with a masked face and a hat appeared quietly. Like a ghost, he quietly approached an unsuspecting woman from behind.

Suddenly, he stretched out his strong and powerful hand, quickly covered the woman's mouth, and effortlessly dragged her into a dilapidated house nearby.

Xu Qianjiao and Liu Fangjie, who witnessed this scene, were terrified. They widened their eyes and covered their mouths tightly with their hands, fearing that they would make the slightest sound.

Fear surged in their hearts like a tide, making them tremble all over. They were so nervous that they could hardly breathe and could only pray silently that the kidnapped woman would be safe.

Only after they entered the house and closed the door did the two of them run frantically towards the street.

Finally they ran out onto the street, both of them holding their chests, looking terrified.

"Huh, he finally ran out. I was scared to death." Liu Fangjie said with a pale face and trembling voice.

Xu Qianjiao bent down and supported her legs, slowly calming her breathing. "Yeah, I was so scared. How could someone be so bold as to kidnap someone in broad daylight?"

Thinking of this, both of them shuddered, "What do you think, should we call the police?"

"Go, maybe you can rescue the girl."

The two looked at each other, reached a consensus, and decided to go to the police station to report the crime. They really couldn't just stand by and watch someone die. Although they were not good people, they did have a conscience.

If the two of them didn't call the police, they would probably feel guilty for the rest of their lives.

-------------------------------------

In the interrogation room of the police station, the lighting seemed a little cold.

Xu Qianjiao sat at one side of the table, facing a serious police officer. The room was filled with tension, and the police officer's eyes were sharp and focused.

"You said you saw someone being kidnapped?" Officer Liu frowned and stared seriously at the expression on Xu Qianjiao's face, not missing a single detail.

Xu Qianjiao was a little scared, but she nodded firmly, "Yes, it's on Jifeng Road."

Officer Liu nodded. "Okay, tell me in detail what you saw."

After that, he opened the notebook and began to ask Xu Qianjiao for basic information, "Where did you see someone being kidnapped? What was the time, location, and who was there? Please describe it in detail."

"Okay." Xu Qianjiao carefully recalled the scene in her mind, organized her words, and slowly told what she saw at the time. She wanted to provide the police with more clues in as much detail as possible.

As the conversation between the two sides became more in-depth, Officer Liu's brows furrowed more and more tightly, and his expression became more and more serious. He kept guiding Xu Qianjiao to recall the details of the incident, including the time, place, and people involved.

"That's roughly what happened." Xu Qianjiao described the scene in her mind to the police in detail. She recalled it again and again to make sure she didn't miss anything.

Officer Liu closed the notebook and nodded at her. "Okay, that's all for today's confession. Go back first and be safe. We'll contact you if we need you."

"Okay." Xu Qianjiao nodded and walked out of the interrogation room.

She stood at the door for a while, and Liu Fangjie also came out. She went forward and took her hand, "Xiao Jie."

"Jiaojiao." Liu Fangjie saw Xu Qianjiao's worried expression and shook her head secretly at her to indicate that she was fine.

"Okay, we will handle the case. Thank you for your cooperation. You can leave." Officer Liu came out of the interrogation room with a notebook and walked up to the two people and said.

"Okay, thank you, Officer Liu." Xu Qianjiao nodded at him politely.

"You're welcome. Serving the people." Officer Liu said as he took the notebook and left. After taking two steps, he suddenly turned around and said, "By the way, don't tell anyone about this. We will also keep your identities confidential."

Xu Qianjiao and Liu Fangjie were both frightened by Officer Liu's serious attitude and nodded quickly to indicate that they understood.

"Um."

-------------------------------------

After Xu Qianjiao and Liu Fangjie came out of the police station, they did not stay on the street and went straight back to the train station.

Xu Qianjiao grabbed Liu Fangjie's hand and said, "Xiaojie, you should find someone to take you to and from get off work these days. I have a feeling this matter is more complicated than it seems, and Officer Liu's attitude makes me feel uneasy."

"Okay, I'll go home tonight and tell my brother to take me to and from get off work." Liu Fangjie nodded quickly. She had the same feeling. When she was in the interrogation room, she felt vaguely uneasy. After hearing what Xu Qianjiao said, she became more certain of her intuition.

Back at the ticket counter, Xu Qianjiao tried hard to concentrate on her work, attempting to drive away the fear and anxiety she had just felt.

Unfortunately, everything was in vain. What had just happened was still deeply engraved in her mind, and the feeling of fear lingered.

She sat at the ticket counter, her eyes constantly glancing at the clock in the lobby, her fingers tapping unconsciously on the table. Her mind had long since left her work; her mind was filled with a whirlwind of thoughts, a blur of confusion.

The more she thought about it, the more panicked and frightened she became. Her heart was filled with anxiety, and even tiny beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

As the end of get off work time approached, she became more and more anxious. She really wanted to see Cheng Jiawen immediately and tell him about her fear.

She tried to calm herself down and took a few deep breaths, but each time she inhaled, she felt as if a huge rock was pressing down on her chest, making it difficult to breathe. Her legs trembled unconsciously, as if she might collapse to the ground at any moment.
