Chapter 13 Cousin and Educated Youth

In the afternoon, Xu Qianjiao had lunch and took a nap. She went out to feed the cows around three o'clock.

This afternoon, Cheng Jiawen didn't come. His niece came instead. Xu Qianjiao looked at the girl, who was only as tall as her shoulders, and gave her a friendly smile. "What's your name?"

"My name is Cheng Zhaodi." Cheng Zhaodi smiled slightly on her dark face, revealing two dimples at the corners of her mouth.

"Hello, Zhaodi. My name is Xu Qianjiao." After saying that, she took out a few fruit candies from her pocket and said, "Have some candies. From now on, we will herd cattle together."

Cheng Zhaodi carefully glanced at the candy in Xu Qianjiao's hand, her eyes flashing with desire, but she still shook her head, "No, Sister Xu, keep it for yourself."

Xu Qianjiao pulled her hand over and stuffed the candy in her hand, "Okay, just take it. We'll get along well from now on."

"Thank you, Sister Xu." Cheng Zhaodi held the candy tightly in her hand and smiled widely. She looked at the candy in her hand, thought for a long time, and put it back in her pocket.

Xu Qianjiao watched her movements and asked, "Why don't you eat?"

"I'll take it back for my sister to eat." Cheng Zhaodi said sensibly.

Xu Qianjiao touched her head and gently persuaded her, "You can eat one, and take the rest back for your sister."

Cheng Zhaodi was persuaded by her. After hesitating for a moment, she couldn't help but take out a candy from her pocket. She opened the candy wrapper and carefully put the candy into her mouth. She closed her eyes, feeling the long-lost sweetness.

"It's delicious, so delicious." She smiled sweetly at Xu Qianjiao.

"As long as it tastes good." Xu Qianjiao touched her head, then turned around to pick up the cow.

The two of them walked together, leading the cow. Xu Qianjiao quietly asked her about Cheng Jiawen. The more she learned, the more she found this man to be to her liking.

Just because he doesn't completely listen to his mother, he is better than many men of this era. In fact, not only in this era, even in modern times, there are still many mama's boys, or filial sons who are filial in the name of filial piety. The only difference is that his filial piety is not directed at himself, but he wants his wife to be filial on his behalf.

The two walked towards the edge of the field. Xu Qianjiao suddenly saw two familiar figures pulling each other in front of her. Xu Qianjiao immediately pulled Cheng Zhaodi to hide under a tree nearby.
