Chapter 35 Motion Sickness

Yan Xiao was both amused and exasperated upon hearing this.

He finally understood why the little girl had been so sullen the whole way.

Actually, he thought Wen Qinghe looked good in everything, but since she didn't like it, he would try to avoid wearing those two colors together next time.

Worried that the little girl might get hungry on the way, he made her an egg pancake and a boiled egg before leaving.

Perhaps Wen Qinghe got up a little early in the morning, before her usual mealtime. She only ate half of the egg pancake and the boiled egg, leaving the rest to Yan Xiao.

Next, they had to take a bus to the county town. He led the little girl to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy some chicken cakes before taking her to the station to catch the bus.

At that time, gasoline had just replaced charcoal as the primary fuel for automobiles. They were vastly different from modern buses in every aspect.

There were many people taking the bus, but no one was aware of the need to queue; they all crowded onto the bus in a chaotic rush.

Fortunately, Yan Xiao was tall and strong, and with his height and physique, he saw two adjacent seats at the very back as soon as he got on the bus.

He carefully led Wen Qinghe to sit on the inside, while he himself sat on the outside.

As the car started, the smell of gasoline from the engine, the obvious vibrations from the uneven dirt road in the back row, and various other unidentified odors inside the car made Wen Qinghe feel extremely uncomfortable, and her stomach churned.

Yan Xiao had been keeping a close eye on the little girl's movements, and he saw that her face was pale and her eyes were full of worry.

I immediately took out a clean handkerchief and covered her mouth and nose with it.

Will this be better?

Wen Qinghe held the handkerchief, breathing in the fresh scent of soap on it. Her brows relaxed slightly, and she leaned on his shoulder, nodding listlessly.

But the car smelled terrible, and she wasn't the only one who couldn't stand it. Sometimes, even if you lose your sense of smell, you can still hear.

A loud "Yue~" sound of vomiting followed, and a sour, foul odor filled the car...

Then, a chorus of vomiting sounds rose and fell...

Wen Qinghe felt nauseous and almost vomited.

Yan Xiao's expression was also not good, but he still covered the little girl's ears immediately and pulled her into his arms.

The discomfort in her chest eased slightly when she felt the man's cool, refreshing scent.

For the next three hours, Wen Qinghe slept in Yan Xiao's arms all the way to the county town.

After getting off the car, the lingering odor disappeared, and Wen Qinghe breathed in the fresh air deeply before her complexion improved slightly.

The thought of having to take a car ride next made her turn pale.

Fortunately, Yan Xiao learned from his mistake this time and immediately chose a window seat in the front row as soon as he got on the bus, and sat down with the little girl.

Wen Qinghe didn't want to experience that feeling of being swayed in a garbage dump again.

As soon as she got in the car, she spontaneously buried herself in Yan Xiao's arms.

It was early winter, and everyone was dressed warmly. The men had large coats, and you couldn't tell they were holding someone in their arms.

Before the car even started, Yan Xiao, having carefully protected the little girl in his arms, was about to close his eyes and pretend to doze off when he suddenly heard a sharp, piercing male voice from beside him:

"Hey! Get up and move aside! You're taking up two seats! Doesn't anyone else want to sit here?!"

Noticing that the little girl in his arms trembled in fright from the sudden sound, Yan Xiao quickly patted her gently and whispered to comfort her.

His eyes, however, were filled with a fierce aura, and the moment he raised his gaze, it was as if countless sharp knives were being shot at the newcomer.

The man was so frightened by that glance that he instantly fell silent.

Just now, everyone was standing and gradually finding seats to get on the bus. He only saw that one person had taken up two seats, even though the seats inside were clearly empty.

Seeing that the man was tall and strong, clearly someone he couldn't afford to mess with, he swallowed hard in fear.

Seeing his comforting gestures, I realized there must be another person.

He immediately apologized, saying, "Excuse me! Comrade, I didn't see anyone here. Sorry to bother you!"

Afraid of frightening the little girl in his arms, Yan Xiao only whispered "gun!"

The man understood, and quickly moved away from this scourge...

After this little incident, everyone understood. The man's protective expression was obvious, and the woman he was holding in his arms was either a daughter or a wife. Only a wisp of dark, shiny hair that was vaguely visible suggested she was a woman.

The man had slightly dark skin, was burly and had a fierce look on his face. It's hard to imagine what kind of woman could possibly tame him.

...

Just as everyone was speculating about who he was holding, the car arrived at its final stop.

The man gently tidied the woman's hair in his arms, whispering something to her.

Driven by curiosity, the little girl in everyone's arms raised her head, and everyone gasped.

Her skin was like solidified cream, her eyebrows and eyes were like painted pictures, and her eyes were like water.

And that pale white skin was particularly dazzling under the sunlight…

Do such fairy maidens really exist in this world?

Indeed, only a celestial being like her could melt even the fiercest, toughest man into a gentle, tender heart.

The men exclaimed: "No one could be fierce in that situation!" Of course, this might be an exception in bed.

Looking at her delicate and beautiful face, the men's admiring and envious gazes were almost tangible.

Of course, the little girl was stunning, while the big guy was the envy.

...

Wen Qinghe didn't pay attention to any of this. She was finally about to get off the bus. She had been on the bus all day and had slept the whole way, but the smell on her nose still made her uncomfortable when she woke up.

I even felt that my clothes were mixed with all the smells in the carriage, and that the smell made me want to vomit.
