Chapter 11 First Encounter

Jiang Anxia smiled, picked up the package with all her might, and turned to leave the post office.

She didn't expect that Jiang Nanqing would actually send something back, and what's more, it was so heavy that she had to use all her strength to lift it.

She saw that the girl was carrying it quite easily, so she assumed it wasn't very heavy. But she was wrong; the girl was just stronger than her.

Put it down. Jiang Anxia straightened up and rested for a moment, then sighed and continued walking unsteadily with the package in her arms.

It took Jiang Anxia half an hour to travel such a short distance.

When she saw Jiang's father again, her face was flushed, and a bead of sweat clung to her small nose, threatening to fall.

Over there, Mr. Jiang, who was chatting with Grandpa Li, looked up and saw his daughter swaying as she walked over. He was anxious and strode towards Jiang Anxia.

As they drew nearer, Jiang's father took the package into his hands. "Xiaxia! Why didn't you call me Dad? You must be exhausted. Go sit down and rest for a while."

Jiang Anxia pursed her lips, smiled at her father, and then said, "I'm fine, not tired."

"Go and rest for a while," Mr. Jiang said sternly, his face stern.

"Okay!" Jiang Anxia knew that her father was worried that she was tired, so he could only walk a few steps faster and sit on the oxcart.

When she arrived, she saw several men and women dressed differently from them, standing or squatting around the oxcart.

"Uncle Li, you're not just waiting for me, are you?" Jiang Anxia asked Uncle Li in a low voice.

Grandpa Li shook his head. "No, there's still one female educated youth who hasn't arrived yet."

"I was so scared! I thought I was the only one left to wait for." Jiang Anxia patted her chest with lingering fear. It would have been terrible if she had been the only one left to wait for.

"Here, Xiaxia, have some water." Father Jiang took out the water cup his wife had prepared for their daughter before they left, twisted it open, and handed it to his daughter.

To be honest, Jiang Anxia was indeed a little thirsty. She took it and said, "Thank you, Dad."

"Xiaxia! Now that you're here, let Dad tell you what all these people are called." Father Jiang rubbed his hands together and smiled sheepishly.

Jiang Anxia suddenly found it difficult to swallow the water.

"The one standing under the tree in the white shirt is Gu Yanzhu, and the one next to him is Lin Bai; the two squatting on the ground are Chu Weimin and Lin Chengye, and the three female educated youths standing next to them, from left to right, are Zou Lanjuan, Ai Guiping, and Su Qianxue, and the one who isn't here is Tian Wenjia." Heaven knows how much effort Jiang's father put into remembering these names.

Jiang Anxia looked at each of them one by one as her father had told her, and her eyes just happened to meet those of the one her father had mentioned named Gu Yanzhu.

At first glance, Jiang Anxia had to admit that this boy was indeed better looking than everyone else.

She quickly looked away and went to look at the other people.

Standing under the tree, Gu Yanzhu noticed the little girl from the moment Jiang's father ran over to take the package from Jiang Anxia's hands.

It seems he has a very close relationship with the captain!

Everyone waited for about half an hour before the last female educated youth arrived.

Once everyone was present, Father Jiang began to greet them, "Alright, come over here, put your things on the oxcart, and get ready to go back."

Upon hearing this, the eight people took turns placing their belongings on the oxcart. After they were all in place, Tian Wenjia glanced at the positions on the oxcart and couldn't help but speak.

"Captain, the oxcarts are all full, how are we going to get back?"

“Let’s go back.” Father Jiang glanced at the group, his brows furrowed deeply; this was why he didn’t want the educated youth to come—too much trouble.

Seeing that she was the only one who spoke up while everyone else remained silent, Tian Wenjia felt extremely wronged. It wasn't like she was only doing it for herself.

Seeing that no one was saying anything, Father Jiang sighed silently, feeling a little tired.

"Let's go! We still have a long way to go!" With that, he stepped forward and led the way.

Seeing this, Jiang Anxia quickly followed behind her father, walking leisurely.

It takes more than an hour to walk there; I don't know if these people can make it.

Grandpa Li also drove the oxcart behind Father Jiang, and then gradually walked side by side with Father Jiang, talking to him.

Jiang Anxia shook her head helplessly. The Jiang father in her memory wasn't talkative at all! Something had changed.

Gu Yanzhu, walking behind, looked at the girl in front of her with a gloomy gaze.

What is her identity?

After walking for half an hour, Tian Wenjia stomped her feet and said she didn't want to walk anymore.

"My feet hurt so much, I don't want to walk anymore." Her voice was delicate and her expression was pitiful.

Jiang Anxia glanced at it, and in that one glance, she knew the reason.

Walking on a muddy road in leather shoes, how can your feet not hurt!

"Uncle Li, please make room for her! Let her take the oxcart back!" Jiang Anxia didn't want to waste time; she wanted to go back and see how much money she had earned that day!

This is a very important matter! No one can afford to delay it.

"Well... alright then!" Grandpa Li sighed and nodded in agreement.

This young female educated youth seemed delicate and frail; it was unclear why she had come to the countryside.

Jiang Anxia and Grandpa Li worked together to find a seat that was big enough for one person.

Upon seeing this, Tian Wenjia's face lit up with joy, but she quickly suppressed it; see, she no longer needed to walk.

Jiang Anxia turned her head and happened to see this scene. It seems that this girl has some ulterior motives.

But it doesn't matter, she and she probably won't have any interaction.

The group set off again. Tian Wenjia was in a great mood, swinging her legs on the oxcart and occasionally humming a few words.

This made Grandpa Li, who overheard it, want to pull the person down.
