But her kindness did not lead her to a good family.
Jiang Anxia felt sorry for her in her heart.
Wu Cuilan glanced back at Jiang Anxia and smiled slightly to express her gratitude.
Wu Cuilan was taken aback, and returned a smile.
This time, she should be able to win this girl back.
She won't be like that little girl from before.
Jiang Anxia withdrew her gaze and focused on the food in front of her. However, before eating, Jiang Anxia closed An Yuxi's lunchbox.
Otherwise, by the time An Yuxi comes back to eat, the food will be cold.
Jiang Anxia ate every last bite of the food in her lunchbox.
After she finished eating, An Yuxi returned with burn ointment in her hand.
"Xiaxia, stretch out your hand." An Yuxi squeezed out some burn ointment and asked Jiang Anxia to stretch out her hand. Jiang Anxia obediently stretched out her hand.
An Yuxi carefully began applying the medicine to Jiang Anxia.
Jiang Anxia felt a cool sensation, and the burning sensation in her hands gradually subsided.
An Yuxi breathed a sigh of relief after applying medicine to all the scalded areas of Jiang Anxia.
He was worried that he might have used too much force without realizing it, causing Jiang Anxia to scream in pain.
Fortunately, he kept his hands gentle and didn't use the wrong force until he finished applying the ointment.
"Thank you, Third Brother." Jiang Anxia pursed her lips slightly and thanked him softly.
"Don't get it wet until it heals," An Yuxi carefully instructed.
He can keep an eye on other things, but he's not so good at managing water. I can only remind him once a day.
"I understand." Jiang Anxia nodded honestly.
She knew that if she didn't behave herself now, she would definitely be nagged in the end.
So she chose to be more honest.
"Good to know, but don't make me nag you every day." An Yuxi said seriously, afraid that Jiang Anxia might forget one day and touch the water directly.
"No, I won't." Jiang Anxia was like a child being lectured by his family, not daring to argue back.
"Alright, I won't say anything more. As long as you remember it, that's fine." An Yuxi looked at Jiang Anxia's little expression and couldn't bear to continue.
He was afraid that if he continued talking, Jiang Anxia's expression would become even more aggrieved.
But he couldn't bear to see Jiang Anxia's aggrieved expression.
So he had no choice but to shut up.
Jiang Anxia blinked her innocent big eyes and stared wide-eyed at An Yuxi.
An Yuxi didn't dare look into Jiang Anxia's eyes anymore; those wet, innocent eyes were just too adorable.
He was afraid that he might not be able to resist touching Jiang Anxia like he would a puppy.
...
Time passed by, shakily and uncertainly.
Before we knew it, it was time for the train to arrive at the station.
An Yuxi had already packed everything. Jiang Anxia wanted to help, but An Yuxi wouldn't let her.
Because An Yuxi accidentally bumped Jiang Anxia's injured hand, he told her to just sit aside and watch.
Jiang Anxia looked at the glistening water bubbles and was somewhat speechless.
She thought it wouldn't grow back, but then two or three more popped up. She couldn't believe hers was so tender.
The series of blisters was so terrifying that even Jiang Anxia herself found it horrifying.
"Xiaxia, does your hand still hurt?" An Yuxi looked at Jiang Anxia's hand with heartache.
Even in this state, he still felt pain.
"It doesn't hurt." Jiang Anxia felt it and realized it really didn't hurt at all; it just looked scary.
"It doesn't hurt now, but if the blister accidentally breaks, don't yell." An Yuxi gave Jiang Anxia a disgruntled look.
Fortunately, they were all small blisters, otherwise I would have had to pop the big ones.
Jiang Anxia pouted and stared blankly at An Yuxi.
That's really hurtful.
An Yuxi raised her eyebrows and saw the little expression on Jiang Anxia's face.
"Xiaxia, hold on tight to me when we get off the train, we can't get separated." An Yuxi looked into Jiang Anxia's eyes and said seriously.
He didn't want to lose Jiang Anxia for any reason.
"Okay, I will." Seeing An Yuxi's serious expression, Jiang Anxia also answered in a serious tone.
She knew why An Yuxi said that, so she was willing to cooperate with him.
"But you still have to be careful with your hands, don't let them rub against someone." An Yuxi was afraid that Jiang Anxia might accidentally bump into someone when she went down, and then the blisters on Jiang Anxia's hands would break.
“Okay.” Jiang Anxia nodded seriously.
No matter what An Yuxi said, she listened attentively and did as she was told.
She knew perfectly well what the knot in An Yuxi's heart, or rather, the entire An family's heart, was.
She didn't really care, because the first ten years of her life weren't her own.
When she got old and came here, they found her not long after, so Jiang Anxia did everything as she pleased.
In her plan, her life should be lived as she pleases, however she wants.
I only ask that I may indulge in my desires and act recklessly, so as not to waste my youth.
Soon, with An Yuxi giving her detailed instructions, the train gradually slowed down and finally came to a stop.
"Xiaxia, hold on tight." An Yuxi, holding something in her hand, turned around and called out to Jiang Anxia.
Jiang Anxia didn't speak, but her nod and determined look told An Yuxi that she would.
An Yuxi felt relieved and walked ahead, inching forward little by little.
Following An Yuxi's instructions, Jiang Anxia held onto his clothes and followed closely behind him.
Jiang Anxia occasionally looked up at the reassuring figure in front of her, feeling a sense of peace in her heart.
She felt no worry whatsoever, because she knew that An Yuxi was there for her.
I followed the crowd and got off the train.
"Third Brother, where are you?" Jiang Anxia spotted a familiar car parked outside the train station.
An Yuning stood next to the car; no one else was visible.
Hearing Jiang Anxia's call, An Yuxi turned her head slightly and looked over. "Let's go over there."
From afar, An Yuning saw An Yuxi appear with a petite figure.
An Yuning couldn't help but smile.
"Xiaxia, are you tired?" Without waiting for the two to come over, An Yuning took a few big strides to Jiang Anxia's side and asked.
"It's alright," Jiang Anxia gave a fair answer.
I wasn't too tired, I think I relied on An Yuxi the whole way.
"That's good, let's go home first. My parents were supposed to come too, but I stopped them, since there wouldn't be enough room for everyone." An Yuning explained the reason why her parents didn't come in a few words.
He was afraid that Jiang Anxia would misunderstand and think that the An family did not welcome her back.
"I know." Jiang Anxia had already guessed this thought.
"That's good. Go sit in the car first." An Yuning took some things from An Yuxi's hands to make him feel more at ease.
An Yuxi casually gave some to An Yuning, immediately freeing up one hand.
"Second brother, let's not go home first, let's go to the hospital first." An Yuxi twisted his neck and spoke in a cool tone.
"Hospital? What are you going to the hospital for?" An Yuning was taken aback and carefully scanned An Yuxi from head to toe.
