Jiang Anxia looked at An Yuning, and realized that she was quite similar to Jiang Nanqiu in this regard; both of them had said the same thing.
They all treated her like a child.
"Xiaxia, have you been waiting long? Are you tired?" An's father stepped forward, pushed An Yuning aside, and stood in front of Jiang Anxia, asking with a grin.
An Yuning frowned as she looked at her father, her eyes filled with deep dissatisfaction.
He hadn't even said a word to the girl yet! Why did she push him away?!
"Not tired." Before Jiang Anxia could react, the person in front of her had changed.
"Get out of my way." Mother An frowned slightly, staring straight at Father An.
An Yuxi could only watch helplessly as the three of them competed for Jiang Anxia's affections.
He simply stood to the side and didn't bother to join in.
No matter how much they talk to Xiaxia, Xiaxia will always be closest to him.
“Shun! Even if they’re like this, isn’t Xiaxia still closest to me?” An Yuxi turned to look at Li Shun.
"Yes," Li Shun replied with a smile, without refutating anything.
He wouldn't get involved, especially at this particular time; he was afraid that if he went back, he'd be made to run five kilometers.
Li Shun knew exactly what was going on. He had been An's father's bodyguard for many years, so he understood An's father quite well.
Whenever something goes wrong, not only will An's father run five kilometers by himself, but sometimes he will also drag him along, ostensibly to exercise.
He's really scared of running now, and doesn't want to run anymore. He wants to live longer and doesn't want to do anything reckless.
An Yuxi felt bored. Li Shunyi was clearly just going through the motions, but this perfunctory attitude had somehow won him over and satisfied him.
Fine, let's leave it at that! He can accept it.
An Yuxi silently watched the three people surrounding Jiang Anxia, standing aside without saying a word.
He wanted to see when those three would remember that he, a living, breathing person, was still standing there.
Jiang Anxia looked up and saw An Yuxi staring intently at them. She blinked her big eyes, somewhat bewildered.
She sensed a resentment surrounding An Yuxi, a resentment that was almost solidifying.
When Jiang Anxia looked over, An Yuxi immediately dropped her resentful expression and became serious.
An Yuning chuckled to herself as she watched.
It's not a proper act, why pretend? As if they can't tell.
"Jiang Anxia?" A clear voice rang directly into Jiang Anxia's ears.
She looked up at the sound and saw Tian Wenjia looking at her with a surprised expression.
When Jiang Anxia looked over, Anxia's father and the others also looked over.
"Xiaxia, do you know her?" Mother An asked softly, her brow furrowing slightly.
Her intuition told her that the girl in front of her was not someone to be trifled with.
"Yes, I know him, but we're not close," Jiang Anxia replied softly.
She wasn't familiar with Tian Wenjia to begin with. They had only met a few times at the brigade headquarters, but hadn't really spoken.
"In that case, let's go! There are more people here." Seeing Jiang Anxia say this, An's mother felt reassured.
“Okay. I’ll take you to your accommodation.” Jiang Anxia nodded gently in agreement.
In just a short while, some people have already stopped to look at the car parked there.
"Now we can go," Jiang Anxia nodded immediately.
"Third son, go to the car and give Xiao Li directions. We'll walk there with Xiaxia." Mother An smiled gently, looking at An Yuxi with a kind expression.
An Yuxi was startled, his eyes widening. Why was he being called upon when they needed someone? He wanted to spend more time with Xiaxia!
An Yuxi didn't dare to disobey her mother at all and could only silently nod in agreement.
"Okay! Let's go!" An Yuxi turned around, opened the car door, and got in.
Seeing that An Yuxi was already seated, Li Shun opened the car door and got in as well.
Jiang Anxia watched helplessly as An Yuxi drove away.
“Then let’s go!” Jiang Anxia stepped forward, with her mother walking beside her, exchanging a few words occasionally.
Most of the time, it was An's mother who asked the questions, and Jiang Anxia who answered.
The main problem was that Jiang Anxia wasn't familiar with them yet and didn't know what to say.
Tian Wenjia frowned, watched Jiang Anxia walk away, pursed her lips, and rolled her eyes.
If she doesn't want to talk to me, she doesn't care anyway.
But who are the people next to Jiang Anxia? They seem to be treating Jiang Anxia very well.
Especially that car parked next to it, who exactly is driving it?
Tian Wenjia was particularly curious about the identities of the group, and even more curious about why Jiang Anxia knew them.
More importantly, she hadn't seen Jiang Anxia at the brigade recently.
Unable to come up with a solution, Tian Wenjia could only frown and walk towards the supply and marketing cooperative.
He was still thinking as he walked, his brows furrowed so deeply he was almost unrecognizable.
On the other side, because Jiang Anxia walked faster, they soon arrived at the place that An Yuxi had found for An's father and the others to stay.
Li Jiang Anxia's house isn't far away, about a hundred meters away.
This is a place that An Yuxi decided on after consulting with Zhang Hongbo.
An Yuxi thought about it for a moment, and seeing that it wasn't far away, she bought it directly. The house was registered under Jiang Anxia's name.
This means Jiang Anxia has acquired another house.
Jiang Anxia found out because An Yuxi told her.
When Jiang Anxia and the others arrived, the gate was already open, but An Yuxi was nowhere to be seen.
When they went inside, they found that An Yuxi was pouring water, just waiting for them to arrive so they could drink it.
When An's father saw this, a relieved smile appeared on his lips.
It seems the third brother isn't so useless after all!
Unconsciously, An Yuxi's image in her father's heart gradually changed.
"Mom and Dad, Second Brother, Xiaxia, come quickly, sit down and rest for a while." An Yuxi looked up and saw the group of people walking in, and quickly called out.
"Here we are," Father An replied gruffly, quickening his pace.
Following behind, Mother An also quickened her pace silently.
An Yuning glanced at An Yuxi indifferently, and continued walking at her own unhurried pace.
Jiang Anxia, on the other hand, didn't feel anything. She wasn't thirsty, and it didn't matter whether she drank water or not.
Father An took a big step, picked up the cup, and drank all the water in one gulp.
An's mother was much more refined, drinking it in small sips, which was a pleasant sight to behold.
Jiang Anxia walked slowly, falling a few steps behind the others.
By the time she approached, An's father had already drunk two glasses of water.
"Mom, have you eaten? Are you hungry?" An Yuxi asked when she saw that the group had slowed down.
"Yes, there are some." Mother An nodded gently.
She hadn't eaten or slept well at all during the journey. She was completely exhausted.
"Then I'll go make you some food, so you can eat and get some rest." Hearing her mother say this, An Yuxi felt a little sorry for her.
An's mother is not in good health, and it's understandable that she's tired from traveling these past few days.
He finished preparing it early so that his mother could eat early and rest to recover.
"I'll come help you," Jiang Anxia said quickly, afraid that if she was too late, An Yuxi would run away again.
"Xiaxia, let your second brother handle it by himself. You sit down and rest." Mother An looked at Jiang Anxia with a gentle gaze and a smile on her lips.
"Yes, yes, Xiaxia, sit down and rest." With that, An's father reached out and grabbed Jiang Anxia's hand, pressing her down onto the stool.
