"If you can't speak, don't speak, or I'll sew your mouth shut." Ren Jingxiao heard what the woman said.
Although he used to think that Xia Xia was a fox, and that there was nothing wrong with being a fox, he had heard from the people in the Black Mountain Brigade that the term "fox spirit" was an insult.
He didn't care what she said about him, but he couldn't bear it if she scolded Xia Xia.
"You..." The woman looked at Ren Jingxiao with a serious face, and his height almost touched the roof of the car when he stood up.
She knew that she had offended someone, so she shrank back and dared not say anything.
"Okay, let's take a break!" Ningxia saw that Ren Jingxiao had scared someone again, so she pulled him over.
"Okay." Ren Jingxiao touched Ningxia's head, and her face suddenly became gentle, like melting winter snow.
The two people on the upper bunk felt that the man was about to rush up and beat someone up. They were all shocked, but at that moment it seemed as if nothing had happened.
The woman thought this man must have learned to change his face. Why is he different to his wife than to others? Don't men have to save face outside?
Master Wu laughed as he listened to the noise below. This brat is so manly, just like when he was young.
When it was time for lunch, Wu Ye and Ning Xia were waiting on the bed, and Ren Jingxiao poured some hot water to warm up the lunch boxes.
Shen's mother made a lot of dumplings for them and asked them to heat them up in the car before eating them. Ningxia planned to eat these first.
Wait until you finish eating before buying a lunch box, otherwise the food will go bad if you keep it in the car.
After Ren Jingxiao left, the woman over there glared at Ningxia.
"You don't want your eyes anymore? I'll dig them out for you when my son comes back." Looking at the woman's expression, Master Wu glared back at her.
The woman was dumbfounded, while the other two laughed out loud. How could this family be so protective of their own shortcomings? They either gouged out their eyes or had their mouths sewn shut.
Ningxia's lips curled up. The woman looked so angry that she almost suffocated herself. What was wrong with these two men?
In her family, her husband cares most about his face outside. Not to mention fetching water and serving her food, it’s good enough if he doesn’t ask her to serve him.
The older man said that the man just now was his son, so he must be the woman's father-in-law.
Her father-in-law always has the final say at home. Not only does he not protect his daughter-in-law, he even lets his son beat her if he is dissatisfied.
How come these two people are so different? She didn't do anything, but he glared at her and scared her.
No one knew about the woman's grievances. When Ren Jingxiao came back, peace had returned here.
"Dad, Xia Xia, you guys eat first." Ren Jingxiao handed over the warm dumplings in the lunch box.
"I can't finish so many." Ningxia looked at the bowl of dumplings and felt that she couldn't eat so many. Seeing that there was not much in Ren Jingxiao's bowl, she gave him half.
"The doctor told you to eat more. You eat too little." Ren Jingxiao frowned at her cat-like appetite.
"If I eat too much, my stomach will get bloated. When I'm hungry, I'll find something to eat by myself." Ningxia looked at Ren Jingxiao with a look of disapproval and acted coquettishly.
Uncle Wu saw that the couple was eating with sticky food, so he quickly finished his dumplings and went upstairs.
He felt that this meal of dumplings was the most tasteless he had ever eaten and was also choking.
"Mom, I'm hungry." The two children of the woman over there smelled the fragrance and became greedy. They pulled the woman's hand and cried.
"This...you just said you couldn't finish it, so give the rest to the two children. Look how hungry they are."
The woman changed her strong look and smiled hypocritically at Ren Jingxiao and Ningxia.
Ren Jingxiao looked at the two children and stuffed the dumplings from the box into their mouths one after another.
Until the last one, he faced the two children, slowly put it into their mouths with a look of satisfaction on his face.
"Wow!" The two children kept looking at Ren Jingxiao, and couldn't help crying after seeing him eat the last dumpling.
"You guys are going too far. You're grown-ups, how can you treat a child like this?"
The woman was furious at Ren Jingxiao's behavior. How could these two people be so mean?
"I'm still young. I'm only in my twenties." What Ren Jingxiao heard most during this trip to Beijing was people calling him uncle. He felt like he had aged a lot.
Even after leaving Beijing, some people mentioned that he was old and dissatisfied, but he was still young!
The woman was shocked by his shamelessness. He was still a child? If he frowned a little more, she would call him brother.
"Mom, I want to eat dumplings, I want to eat meat." The two children refused to give in, crying and making a fuss at the woman. It was obvious that they were spoiled.
"Okay, I'll buy you some meat to make dumplings when we get home." The woman had no choice but to coax the two children.
"Shut up, my wife is going to bed. If you cry again, I will throw you off the train."
Ren Jingxiao's shout frightened the two children, and they dared not make a sound anymore.
The carriage became quiet, and Ningxia was finally able to rest on the bed. During the journey, whenever the two children made a sound, Ren Jingxiao looked over and they immediately became quiet.
Ningxia laughed when she saw this scene. Everyone else was not used to such silence.
The woman waited until Ningxia and his group got off the bus. When she saw them leave, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"You little brat, you're quite good at dealing with children." Fifth Master got off the train and laughed at Ren Jingxiao while waiting for Zhao Kun.
Ningxia has gotten used to it. Ren Jingxiao often says things that make people angry.
Until Zhao Kun came to pick them up, Wu Ye smiled and told Zhao Kun what happened in the car.
Zhao Kun looked at the few people who had been riding in the car all the way. They all had smiles on their faces. It seemed that this trip to Beijing was very smooth.
Zhao Kun first sent Ren Jingxiao and Ningxia back home. When they reached the entrance of the alley, the car couldn't drive in, so Wu Ye and Zhao Kun got out to help them move their things.
"Dad, why did you move everything down? There are still your things here!"
Ningxia watched as Fifth Master moved all the things down. He only kept the small box he brought with him when he went to Beijing.
"Those are all prepared for you." Wu Ye knew that many things were prepared by his mother for Ningxia, and they were gifts of thanks for the ginseng.
I knew they wouldn't want it if I gave it to them directly, so I just stuffed it in with the things I had prepared.
"But there are also things grandma bought for you!" Ningxia thought of the clothes and other things she bought at the department store that day.
"Don't worry about those. Give them to me after you've packed them up. Only the clothes are mine. The rest are prepared by your grandma for you. Don't give them to me."
Ningxia saw that Wu Ye was acting mysteriously and wondered what was in these bundles.
Zhao Kun on the other side heard Ningxia calling "Fifth Uncle Dad" and he froze in place.
