Chapter 129 Looking for items

It took almost an hour to watch a movie.

Chu Yun was just there for the experience, he finished his soda and ate half of his popcorn.

Zhou Yuheng ate the rest, and finished his gas in just a few mouthfuls, just as the movie was over.

The young people in the front seats walked out in pairs.

Zhou Yuheng stood up only after most of the group had left, and he also lent a hand to prevent anyone from falling.

Chu Yun held his arm openly, and they walked out of the cinema together.

"Where else do you want to go?"

Zhou Yuheng looked at the person and asked.

Chu Yun stretched lazily, her fair face showing satisfaction as she replied, "Not yet. I'm tired from sitting for an hour watching a movie. Do you have any work this afternoon?"

Zhou Yuheng looked at the time and found that it was still early for the dinner he had agreed with his senior.

"I have a dinner party at 8 o'clock this evening, but it's still early, so I can accompany you before then."

Chu Yun heard this, nodded, looked around, and suggested: "Then let's take a walk around here. I have to go home after a while."

"good."

Zhou Yuheng walked side by side with others to the side of the road.

The sun has already set at this time, and the autumn breeze is blowing, which is very refreshing.

There are many small stalls selling food and toys, including shoes, socks and hats on the street near the cinema.

Just like a modern night market, Chu Yun walked over to take a look with interest.

There were stalls selling handmade woolen dolls and small lanterns. Chu Yun would stop in front of them every few steps to look.

Zhou Yuheng followed behind her, raising his hands to protect her from a distance to prevent people from coming to see her from bumping into her, and also looked at the little gadgets.

"This little rabbit lantern is so beautiful."

Chu Yun herself was born in the Year of the Rabbit. The shape of the lantern was not very delicate, but it was smart and compact, which she liked.

Zhou Yuheng looked at the man and showed his childish side. He smiled, raised the corners of his mouth, took out his wallet and paid directly.

Chu Yun held the little rabbit in her arms and turned to look at him with sparkling eyes. "Not bad, my partner is quite sensible."

Zhou Yuheng tapped her forehead with his finger and said, "Well, buy whatever you like."

"Okay."

Chu Yun smiled and handed the little rabbit to him, then turned around and looked at other things.

Zhou Yuheng would follow behind people, and when he saw something the other person liked, he would take the initiative to pay for it.

After a final walk around, Zhou Yuheng had a lot of things in his hands, while Chu Yun was leisurely eating a paper bag of roasted chestnuts.

From time to time, he would feed Zhou Yuheng behind him.

An old man selling bottles and jars across the street had noticed the two people a long time ago. Judging from their clothes, they didn't look like those who were short of money, especially the person following them was also generous.

He quickly smiled and called out, "Girl, take a look at my bracelets. Do you like them? These are treasures I bought. They will definitely look beautiful on you."

Upon hearing this, Chu Yun glanced over at his side. On a piece of dusty rag were placed some bottles and jars similar to vases, as well as some small items similar to those in an antique shop.

Antique artifacts?

Chu Yun thought that it was the early 1980s and the antique market was not that popular yet, so it was hard to guarantee that she could find authentic antiques among these old items.

She immediately became interested and handed the chestnuts in her hand to Zhou Yuheng, "If you're tired, find a place to rest on the side of the road. I'll go take a look."

After saying that, she ran straight to the opposite side.

"Boss, how much do you sell these things for?"

The old man finally called the girl over and said with a cheerful smile: "Don't worry, I sell everything at a low price. Take a look at which one you like and I'll give you a discount."

As he spoke, the old man picked out a colorful jade bracelet and handed it over. "This is a jade bracelet. The girl is pretty and has fair skin. This will definitely look good on her."

Chu Yun took it and looked at it. It felt cool to the touch, which was really nice.

The jade stones are of different sizes and shapes, and some even have cracks on them, which makes them look a bit too dirty and old.

Chu Yun tried it on her hand and found it didn't look bad. She casually asked about the price.

"Thirty yuan. I used to sell it for forty or fifty. Since you and I are destined to be together, I'll give you the lowest price since we opened our business." The old man said with a smile.

Chu Yun put it aside and started looking at other objects.

The old man thought the girl thought the price was too high, so he quickly said, "Miss, these are all real jade. The farmer who sold them to me was originally a maid in a wealthy family. I heard that they were given to her by her master. You won't lose out if you buy them at this price."

Chu Yun didn't respond, but looked at other things on his stall.

A black pipe with a layer of greasy scratches all over it came into view.

Chu Yun saw that this thing was somewhat similar to those displayed in modern museums, so she pointed at it and asked about the price.

"How much is this?"

The boss didn't expect a young girl to be interested in this thing. Since it was a business that came right to his door, he naturally smiled and introduced it, saying, "This one will be fine for 10 yuan. Don't be fooled by its filthiness. It is said to have a history of over a hundred years. You can take it home and pass it down to your descendants as a family heirloom."

Chu Yun didn't like anything else, so she pointed at the bracelet and pipe and negotiated the price with the stall owner.

"Two for thirty bucks, will you sell them?"

The old man was overjoyed when he heard this, but as a businessman, how could he agree to such pain?

He showed some hesitation on his face, and said with a helpless smile: "Girl, I always give you the lowest price when I open my business. I really don't make much money. I'll give you two dollars less, so I'll give you thirty-eight dollars."

Chu Yunxinzi was an adult, so how could she not see that the stall owner was deliberately pulling her? She held her chin and looked around again.

Pointing to a small box stacked on top of a large box behind him, he said, "Thirty-eight is fine. Give me the small box so I can put my pipe in it. Otherwise, how can I carry it when it's so dirty?"
