Chapter 29 Home

Although she was staying at the Jiang family, Chu Yun slept until dawn and got up to wash up feeling refreshed.

Li Lihua is used to getting up early, so she gets up before her daughter to make breakfast for everyone.

The house hasn't been so lively for a long time. Aunt Jiang was very happy, and Chu Yu was even more happy as he wanted to give everyone roasted sweet potatoes.

Although the two families have not been together for a long time, they both have easy-going personalities and get along very harmoniously.

After dinner, Aunt Jiang took Li Lihua to the morning market, saying that she wanted to buy meat to make dumplings.

Chu Yun was still thinking about the Guo family's affairs. After giving her uncle some instructions, she found an excuse to go out.

Because she had checked out the area near Guo Yong's house yesterday, Chu Yun came directly to the small Western-style building.

This time is the peak time for going to school and going to work, and the adults and children of the Guo family go out one after another.

After waiting for a long time, Guo Yong still didn't show up.

Chu Yun was not in a hurry. She looked around and saw that the old man from yesterday was still sweeping the floor in front. She took out a bag of fried peanuts from her pocket like a magic trick.

Walk straight towards the old man.

"Uncle eats peanuts."

Chu Yun's clear voice rang out.

The old man sweeping the floor looked back and saw that it was the girl from yesterday. He glanced at the generous portion of fried peanuts she handed over, and a smile appeared on his wrinkled face.

"Oh girl, you brought me some delicious food again. I'm sorry to have cost you money."

Chu Yun smiled and said, "You are too polite, sir. We are destined to be friends."

The old man is not stupid. He has come into contact with many people while working in this wealthy area, so he naturally understands that the girl has something to ask of him.

He didn't expose her, but asked with a smile, "Little girl, are you still asking about the Guo family today?"

Chu Yun didn't say it so directly, but instead said in a roundabout way: "Uncle, I'm a distant relative of the Zhao family. Actually, I came here to look for my eldest cousin. I haven't seen her since I was six years old. I'm a little embarrassed to come here."

When the old man heard this, he subconsciously guessed that it was a poor relative who came to ask for money.

After all, the Guo family has become extremely wealthy in the past two years. They own a small house and a big car, and it is said that they even have a nanny at home. Their life can be described as being like that of a god.

But this girl doesn't look like she comes from a poor family. Maybe she is too shy to come to my house.

The old man took a few peanuts and put them in his mouth, smacking his lips and talking to himself: "Guo Yong's wife is called Zhao Na. She should be the relative you mentioned. But his wife is lazy and rarely goes out on weekdays."

After saying that, the old man pointed in the direction of the Guo family’s small Western-style building.

"Guo Yong's car is not here. He didn't come home last night. The old man and woman who just left are his parents-in-law. I heard they went to visit relatives. The nanny has taken the child to school. Guo Yong's wife is the only one at home now. Why don't you go up and take a look?"

Chu Yun was moved by the old man's kindness. Knowing that she had not bought the bag of peanuts in vain, she smiled and thanked him: "Thank you very much, old man. Since my cousin is home alone, I will go to her house to check on her."

The old man waved his hand and said, "You girls are shy, but the wife of the Guo family is easy to talk to. Guo Yong usually comes back at noon. I'm here all morning. If you don't know what to do, come to me again."

Chu Yun said a few nice words and hurried to the Guo family.

After knocking on the door for a long time, there was no one at the Guo family.

After another three or five minutes, an obese woman came out with sleepy eyes.

"Who is it?"

Chu Yun outside the door whispered, "Sister Na, I have something to talk to you about."

Hearing that it was a little girl's voice, Zhao Na was still confused, and walked slowly over to open the door.

Seeing that it was a little girl she didn't know, who was also very pretty, she became even more confused.

"Who are you? I don't know you."

Chu Yun feigned nervousness as she glanced outside, then said anxiously, "Sister Na, you may not know me, but Aunt Zhao helped me before. I accidentally learned something about Guo Yong yesterday, and after much thought, I decided to come and inform you."

Zhao Na was a housewife and didn't think much about it when she heard it. She was worried that something had happened to her husband, so she brought the little girl into the yard.

"Girl, if you know something, tell me quickly."

Chu Yun made up an excuse, saying that she had a stomachache a few days ago and went to the hospital to get medicine. She happened to see Guo Yong hugging a pregnant woman. The woman was staying in the inpatient department of the County First Hospital.

Zhao Na's face turned pale, her fingertips trembling constantly, and she asked tremblingly: "Did you really see it clearly? You are not lying to me!"

"Sister Na, I have no grudge against you, so why would I lie to you? If you don't believe me, go to the inpatient department now. I guess the baby has already been born."

After Chu Yun finished speaking, Zhao Na immediately thought of her parents-in-law carrying large and small bags out of the house early in the morning, and they seemed to have taken two cans of milk powder.

She had a bad feeling in her heart. She wiped the tears from her face, gritted her teeth and said to Chu Yun, "Wait here for a moment. I'll change my clothes and you come with me."

Chu Yun naturally agreed.

While Zhao Na was changing her clothes, the nanny came back after sending the Zhao family's children to school.

Seeing a stranger coming into the house, the nanny stared at Chu Yun with a wary look on her face, "Who are you? Why haven't I seen you before?"

Chu Yun calmly got up from the sofa and explained casually: "I am a relative of the Zhao family. I came to see my cousin Na."

Upon hearing that it was a relative of Zhao Na's family, the nanny's eyes flashed with disdain. She said "oh" and went to the kitchen without even giving the person a glass of water.

Chu Yun was happy that the nanny ignored her, as it saved her the trouble of wasting time making up excuses.

At this time, Zhao Na also changed her clothes and went downstairs.

Her eyes were a little red and swollen. She was wearing a slim black coat and a pair of thick-heeled black leather shoes. Because of her bloated figure, her clothes were mostly dark and her dress was relatively simple.
