After leaving the Guo family, Chu Yun saw that it was getting late, so she hurried back to the Jiang family.
I saw my uncle waiting at the door from a distance.
Chu Yun quickened her pace and walked over.
"Uncle."
"Ayun's sweet potatoes are baked. They are delicious. Eat them while they are hot."
Chu Yu held two still warm sweet potatoes in his arms, grinning as he stuffed them all into his niece's mouth.
Chu Yun had been running outside for so long that she was really hungry, so she took it and started eating.
The baked sweet potato is soft and sticky, and very sweet.
Chu Yun asked while eating, "Uncle, have my mom and Aunt Jiang come back? Have they asked me?"
"I came back and was making dumplings in the house. When I asked Ayun, I told her you went out."
After Chu Yu finished speaking, he remembered something and hurriedly pulled his niece home, muttering, "Mom bought a big bag of popcorn. I'll put it in Ayun's room. Ayun will definitely like it."
Chu Yun saw that her uncle treated her like a child, with a smile on her face and a warm feeling in her heart.
"Thank you, uncle. You are so kind."
Chu Yu held his head high. He was Ayun's elder, and said to him like his mother coaxing him, "Ayun, be good. I will buy you more delicious food in the future."
The two entered the door.
Li Lihua, who was making dumplings in the house, saw her daughter come back, clapped her hands, stood up and came out to ask.
"Xiao Yun, did you go to that factory again?"
In front of her uncle Aunt Jiang, Chu Yun did not explain the things about Zhao Na, but only said that she went out for a walk and asked someone about the Guo family.
Li Lihua breathed a sigh of relief, but still worriedly warned, "Xiaoyun, you're unfamiliar with this place. If you need to go out to do something, tell me and I'll go with you."
She was afraid that her daughter would go to the Guo family alone. People like Guo Yong and Liang Jianguo would do anything for money, and she was afraid that they would have bad intentions and hurt her daughter.
Chu Yun walked over with a smile, nodded and said to the people: "I know, Mom, don't worry, I won't put myself in danger."
…
After lunch, Aunt Jiang had to go to work for others.
She is old and many places don't want her, so she is currently working as a handyman in a nearby cafeteria.
She is mainly responsible for washing dishes and cleaning these odd jobs. The canteen sells meals in the morning and at noon. Aunt Jiang goes there at 2 pm every day and gets off work at 6 pm. She can earn 10 yuan a month.
Aunt Jiang was very happy when talking about her job. She had ample working hours and could take care of her son. Although she did not earn much, it was enough for her and her son to have three meals a day.
After Aunt Jiang left, Chu Yun was dragged by her uncle to play marbles.
Li Lihua, who was washing clothes in the yard, looked a little worried.
Today is the second day, and they have not found any evidence against Liang Jianguo.
The leave granted on the island expires tomorrow. She is a little worried about her daughter, but if she doesn't go back, Liang Jianguo might become suspicious.
Li Lihua thought about it and decided not to just sit there and wait for death, so she quickly washed her coat, hung it up to dry, wiped her hands, and stood up to go out and inquire.
Chu Yun looked through the window and saw her mother packing up to go out.
She hurried out and shouted, "Mom, you want to go out?"
Li Lihua hesitated when her daughter discovered it, but finally told the truth: "Xiaoyun, I'll go out and ask someone. You don't need to follow me in this hot weather. Stay home with your uncle. I'll buy you some watermelon when I come back."
Seeing that her mother treated her like a child, Chu Yun smiled, walked over, took her hand and said, "Mom, don't go out in the middle of the day. I got a lot of useful information this morning, but I didn't bother to tell you before. It's a good time to tell you about the situation now."
Chu Yun briefly explained that Guo Yong had an affair, had an illegitimate child, and was about to abandon his wife and three daughters.
Li Lihua was furious and cursed directly, "I've met Guo Yong's wife. She's quite honest and kind. Guo Yong is worse than an animal. He's so shameless just because he has a few bucks that he wants to kick his wife and daughter out of the house. Isn't he afraid of being struck by lightning?"
Women can understand this best. They work hard to take care of their parents-in-law and give birth to three children, but their husbands kick them out of the house when they become rich. Any woman would be angry to hear this.
Chu Yun comforted her, "Mom, precisely because this kind of person is a scumbag, we should expose his true face. I have already contacted Guo Yong's wife Zhao Na this morning. I will go to Guo's house this afternoon to discuss countermeasures with Sister Zhao Na and see if we can find any favorable evidence in the Guo family. You can rest assured and stay at home with your uncle."
Li Lihua was a little worried when she heard this. "Xiao Yun, will it be dangerous if you go there rashly?"
Chu Yun shook her head. "It's okay, Mom. I've already made an agreement with Sister Zhao Na. My current identity is her cousin. With Sister Zhao Na covering for me, the Guo family won't get suspicious."
Li Lihua felt relieved to see her daughter calm and composed, and was also impressed by her daughter's intelligence and courage, and how outstanding she was at such a young age.
"Okay, then be careful when the time comes. Mom will be waiting for you at home."
…
afternoon,
Chu Yun simply washed and dressed up, tied her hair into a neat high ponytail, and wore simple casual clothes. She looked like a girl next door.
After comforting her uncle, Chu Yun went to a nearby shop to buy some fruit candies and took them to the Guo family.
*
When she arrived at the door of Guo's house, Chu Yun was relieved to see that Guo Yong's car was not there.
She rang the doorbell.
Sister Liu, the nanny from this morning, came out and was a little impatient when she saw Chu Yun.
"Girl, why are you here again? Didn't you just come this morning?"
Chu Yun pretended to be surprised and looked at her, saying, "Oh, you came this morning, but you can't come this afternoon. This is how your Guo family treats guests. You must have a good talk with my uncle Zhao when you go back. Who are you looking down on?"
Nanny Liu's face froze. She was a sharp-tongued little girl, but when she thought about the Zhao family, she couldn't afford to offend them, so she smiled awkwardly.
