Lin Ye chuckled, but didn't ask any further questions.
At night, everyone went home and went to bed.
The next day was New Year's Eve. Tang Guifen and Lin Ziqiang got busy in the kitchen early in the morning.
Lin Hongxing was helping out outside, while Lin Ye and Zheng Biaozi were busy pasting Spring Festival couplets and hanging red lanterns.

The family gathered together and before they started eating, they heard a knock on the door.
It was Guo Simin, she was standing at the door carrying two bags of gifts.

Su Man raised her glass and clinked glasses with everyone else. After drinking, they started eating.
After the lively New Year’s Eve dinner was over, Tang Guifen invited everyone into the house to sit by the fire and stay up until the New Year.
The small house is packed with people and filled with the warmth of home.
The clock struck midnight and the sound of firecrackers echoed all around from far away.
It was so noisy that one couldn't hear what was being said on TV. Lin Ziqiang and Lin Hongxing stood up and wished them a happy new year in unison.
"Happy New Year and may you be prosperous."
Su Man took out the red envelopes she had prepared long ago and handed them to the two of them.
"In the new year, I wish my son Qiangzi great success in cooking and everything goes well."
"I wish my Red Star will make great progress in his studies and get admitted to his ideal university."
The two of them took the red envelope together and said with a smile.
"Thank you, sister-in-law."
Zheng Biaozi and Shao Jiannu also gave red envelopes to the two, and even Guo Simin prepared some.
After watching the Spring Festival Gala and receiving red envelopes, everyone went to bed.
Su Man and Lin Ye sent Guo Simin home and watched her go upstairs.
Lin Ye was about to go home, but Su Man hooked her finger and pulled her onto the motorcycle.
"What's the hurry? Follow me."
Lin Ye didn't ask where he was going so late at night and got on the motorcycle obediently.
The motorcycle sped along and soon stopped downstairs of an apartment building.
Lin Ye recognized it immediately. It was the steel plant's newly built office building. Since no one had moved in yet, there were no lights on inside.
"This is?"
Su Man parked the motorcycle and looked at him with a smile.
"This is our little home! Let's go in and take a look."
In the distance, fireworks exploded into the sky, and the dazzling light fell into Su Man's eyes.
That was the most beautiful scenery Lin Ye had ever seen.
"So, this is the secret you're talking about?"
Su Man nodded and impatiently pulled Lin Ye's hand upstairs.
"Director Zhang just gave me the key yesterday, so I was a little rushed."
"I thought, let's just consider it as a New Year's gift to you!"
When they reached the fifth floor, she asked Lin Ye to close his eyes and she took out the key to open the door.

After entering the door, Su Man turned on the light.
"Okay, you can open your eyes now."
It’s actually a one-bedroom, one-living room house with a simple sofa and a coffee table in the living room.
There was a color TV opposite, and a bed in the room, covered with festive bedding.
