Or maybe, he fell and became stupid?
Jiang Ningyan blinked and asked tentatively, "Do you know who I am?"
Lu Bingchuan pursed his lips and said nothing, his eyes fixed on her face, then scanned her body inch by inch.
The situation is not good.
Jiang Ningyan silently held up two fingers again, "What's this?"
Her fingers were slender and her skin was delicate, and after all this friction, she had already got a lot of scars.
"Don't you recognize this?"
The next second, Lu Bingchuan suddenly leaned over and grabbed her wrist tightly.
She lost her balance and was pulled into his arms.
The arms around her waist tightened, making it almost impossible for her to breathe.
"Yan Yan, I'm sorry."
The voice is hoarse and muffled.
If he had been a little later and failed to save her, the consequences would have been unbearable for him.
Jiang Ningyan felt relieved, confirming that the man was not stupid.
She snorted, "Let me go."
Since he chose to save Lin Jingwan, why is he holding her tightly now?
The man's body suddenly stiffened and he slowly let go of her.
She caught a glimpse of panic in those eyes that had always been calm.
"I didn't know the other hostage was you." Lu Bingchuan's eyes were deep.
"After rescuing Lin Jingwan, I returned to the cabin again. I heard her shouting from behind, and then I realized it was you."
Jiang Ningyan said "oh", took out the last wild fruit and stuffed it into her mouth without hesitation.
She didn't have time to think about it during the fire last night, but after she woke up, she had actually roughly guessed it.
At first, after she learned of her tragic death, she thought that Lu Bingchuan hated the original owner to the core and would use any means to make her disappear forever.
But after spending so much time together, she could feel that Lu Bingchuan was not that kind of person.
The original owner didn't make any fatal mistakes. At most, she was as annoying as a fly. If you really can't bear it, just throw her in jail and you'll have peace and quiet.
What's more, the plot deviated after she traveled through the book. Lu Bingchuan seemed to have deep feelings for her, and his ideas were even more old-fashioned. He believed that if you date someone, you must get married, and you must abide by the bottom line before marriage.
Last night, he treated the two hostages equally. He saw Lin Jingwan first, so he rescued her.
The most we can say is... he and Lin Jingwan are destined to be together.
Seeing her stern face and no intention of responding, Lu Bingchuan felt as if a thorn had been deeply stuck in his heart, and the pain was so severe that he was almost numb.
He subconsciously wanted to coax her, but no matter how much he explained, it could not change the fact that she was abandoned by him and almost swallowed by the sea of fire.
After enduring it for a while, he stood up and checked the wounds on his body with an expressionless face.
There are no injuries to vital parts and normal activities are not affected.
There are many enemies in this area. After the successful rescue last night, in order to avoid being surrounded, the deputy captain should have led his men back to the camp.
Jiang Ningyan sat there hugging her knees, waiting, but the man didn't speak again.
With just that one sentence, he simply skipped over everything that happened last night.
Isn't this a bit too perfunctory?
She got angry and decided to fight this saw-mouthed gourd to the end. If he didn't say anything, she wouldn't say anything either.
After a while, Lu Bingchuan observed the surrounding terrain.
He extended a hand towards her and said, "I remember there's a supply storage point two kilometers away. I'll take you there."
When Jiang Ningyan heard about supplies, her stomach started to growl.
She pushed Lu Bingchuan's hand away, stood up, and threw two words at him coldly.
"lead the way."
There is not much vegetation in this area, and all of it grows from the cracks between the rocks.
In order to hide, the two of them walked almost entirely under the cover of vegetation, so their speed was naturally very slow.
When they encountered a difficult road, Lu Bingchuan would stand silently by her side until she successfully walked through it, and then he would catch up with her in big strides.
Jiang Ningyan bit her lip and thought pettily, this fickle man doesn't want to touch her anymore!
She was unhappy and deliberately quickened her pace, trying to shake off the man behind her.
She accidentally tripped over a protruding rock and hit her knee hard on the rock. The pain was so severe that she cried.
"Don't move." He held her legs with his big hands and carefully tore open the fabric.
The white skin on the knee was now cut by a long gash, and the area was bloody.
“It hurts so much…”
Jiang Ningyan's face was pale, she turned away her eyes, not daring to look at her legs at all.
If she moved a little, the wound would be torn. If she walked to the supply point, she would be in excruciating pain.
"Be patient."
Lu Bingchuan's face suddenly turned gloomy, and he said that in a deep voice.
His arms passed through her legs and effortlessly held her in his arms.
He usually has a serious and stern look, so when he is suppressing his anger, it is difficult for ordinary people to notice.
After a long while, Jiang Ningyan glanced at his face and realized that he was unhappy.
"Are you angry?"
"No." Two simple words.
"I don't believe it." Jiang Ningyan looked at his tense jawline, feeling a little aggrieved. "You despise me for being clumsy."
"No." Lu Bingchuan tightened his arms, as if afraid that she would run away.
After a long silence, he slowly spoke again.
"I'm angry with myself. I knew the mountain road was difficult to walk on and you didn't have enough physical strength, but I still let you walk by yourself."
He thought Jiang Ningyan was resisting his touch, so he just followed her.
If not, she wouldn't be hurt again.
Jiang Ningyan punched his shoulder and said awkwardly, "Don't be angry, I forgive you."
There seemed to be a muffled groan in my ear, and the man's voice was a little hoarse, "Okay, I'm not angry."
Jiang Ningyan realized something was wrong and reached out to touch his shoulder again.
Through the camouflage fabric, she vaguely felt a thick bandage.
