Chapter 84 Holding a grudge

Tang Suxiang and Song Erzhuang had a few words in their argument.

The two sides argued back and forth for a long time, each feeling that they were right and that they were wronged.

Those present tried to persuade both sides for a long time.

Song Dazhuang and Song Hongyan firmly denied the debt and both expressed their willingness to pool their money to lend to Song Erzhuang.

Song Erzhuang was determined to get them to admit they borrowed money and repay it.

Finally, after discussing it for a while, the old clan chief and the elders said helplessly, "Erzhuang, you said your older brother and sister borrowed money from you, so take the IOU to the government and let them help you get it back."

The old clan chief then said to Song Dazhuang's family and San Hongyan and her husband, "We can't be too immoral, it will affect our offspring. You should think carefully about what you're doing. We can't make decisions about your family."

Song Erzhuang was so angry that he wanted to burn the house down again.

Tang Suxiang wasn't afraid of him burning it. "Go ahead and burn it. So many people are watching. If you dare to burn it, I'll immediately report you to the authorities and have you arrested and imprisoned."

Song Erzhuang was furious, but he couldn't think of any other way to get the money he had lent out back.

"Big brother, San Hongyan, I beg you to give me back my money." Holding a torch, Song Erzhuang could only plead with them in the end. "Baogen's foot was injured. The doctor said that if he doesn't have surgery, he will be disabled. I beg you, for the sake of the past help I've given you, give me back my money."

"Second brother, when have you ever helped us? My eldest brother and I have already told you we're willing to pool our money for Baogen's surgery, why are you still so relentless..."

Before San Hongyan could finish speaking, she was suddenly drenched in liquid.

It also has a strange smell.

"What is this? Who was the blind man who poured this on me...?"

"Third Aunt, this is kerosene!" Song Yinhua quickly snatched the torch from her father Song Erzhuang's hand and grabbed Song Hongyan. "I'm giving you one last chance. Are you going to tell the truth, or do you want to die?"

"Ahhhhh..." San Hongyan screamed in fright, "Who are you? What do you want? Take the torch away..."

"She is Yinhua," a villager shouted.

San Hongyan's husband, Yu Jiaqiang, panicked. "Yinhua, quickly give the torch to your third aunt's husband! This is your own third aunt. If it catches fire, someone could die!"

"When she bullied my dad, did she ever think of me as her own aunt?" Song Yinhua's torch was about to touch San Hongyan. "I'm asking you one question now: do you want money or your lives?"

Song Erzhuang asked in surprise, "Yinhua, you're at the health center, why are you back?"

"If I don't come back, how can you get the money back?" Song Yinhua's question left her father speechless.

He couldn't think of any other way but to fight back with brute force.

Song Hanwen shouted, "She wouldn't dare! If she dares to burn Auntie's clothes, she'll go to jail herself!"

“If you don’t pay back the money, Baogen will be crippled and ruined for life because he won’t have the money for surgery. My family will fall apart too. Since that’s the case, then I will take revenge for my grudges and send all the people who harmed my family away!” Song Yinhua suddenly shoved the torch in her hand at San Hongyan. She could smell the burning hair, which made San Hongyan scream in fright.

"Aaaaaah... I need my money back... I need my money back..."

A strong smell of urine wafted out.

Why does it smell like urine?

Tang Suxiang's granddaughter pointed at San Hongyan and said, "Third Aunt's pants are wet! Grandma, Third Aunt wet her pants."

Everyone turned to look at San Hongyan, surprised that she was so easily frightened.

"Third Aunt, how much money did you borrow from my dad in total?" Song Yinhua asked. "I have a bad temper, so you'd better tell me the truth. If I get upset, I might burn you. No matter how much money you have, you won't live to enjoy it!"

"Three hundred." San Hongyan was frightened.

"How much?" Song Yinhua shouted loudly in her third aunt's ear, startling San Hongyan into changing her mind.

"More than five hundred."

Song Yinhua, who was deliberately trying to trick her third aunt, took a torch and set it on fire, which frightened San Hongyan into shouting, "Eight hundred, eight hundred!"

“It really is eight hundred. I have the ledger here.” Third Uncle Yu Jiaqiang quickly took out a palm-sized ledger from his pocket. “Our family has borrowed a total of eight hundred and twenty-three from your family over the past few years, and my eldest brother’s family borrowed one thousand two hundred and sixty. I have recorded it all clearly in this book.”

Yu Jiaqiang opened the ledger and showed it to Song Yinhua.

Tang Suxiang denied it, saying, "Our family has never borrowed a single penny from Song Erzhuang's family. If your family borrows money from Erzhuang, don't drag my family into it."

"It's because you always instigated my wife to cheat my second brother out of money and not pay it back. You're just as bad as your father," Yu Jiaqiang said angrily, shifting all the blame onto Tang Suxiang. "Every time you showed off in front of my wife how much money my eldest brother cheated out of my second brother, I kept a record of it."

Song Dazhuang glared at Tang Suxiang, took off his shoe sole, and was about to hit her. "When did I cheat Erzhuang out of money? What nonsense are you spouting outside every day? I warned you long ago not to go out and make up things that don't even exist!"

"Uncle, please return the money before you take any action!"

Song Yinhua loudly addressed someone present: "You all saw it, my third aunt's father admitted that he and my eldest uncle's family borrowed money from my father!"

"Third Uncle, I'll give you half an hour to bring the money over immediately."

"If I don't see the money after half an hour, I'll take my aunt to see her grandparents."

“Yinhua, I am your third aunt. I even held you when you were little. You are my favorite!” San Hongyan said, talking about family ties.

Song Yinhua felt disdain. Her third aunt favored her eldest brother's children the most and looked down on her and her younger siblings. She often bullied them and was only nice to Qiu Xue.

"Third Aunt, when you bullied my dad, you should have thought about how precious family ties are, otherwise things wouldn't have turned out this bad." Song Yinhua looked at her third uncle, "Third Uncle, just half an hour!"

“I brought all the money.” Yu Jiaqiang said, taking out a wad of cash from his inner pocket and counting it out for Song Yinhua. He had prepared for the worst behind his wife’s back. “A total of eight hundred and twenty-three yuan, not a penny less.”

Only after Song Yinhua took the money and the account book did she release her third aunt.

Only after Song Hongyan was safe did she ask her husband, "Where did you get so much money?"

“I withdrew all the savings from my home.”

“Our son is getting married soon, and you’ve already given us all the money. What are we going to do with him?” San Hongyan angrily started cursing at Song Yinhua. “Yinhua, I’m your own aunt! How dare you pour kerosene on your aunt and try to burn her to death? We can’t be relatives anymore!”

"Third Aunt, I was just kidding you. I poured foot bath water on you."

San Hongyan complained to Song Erzhuang, "Second Brother, look at the good girl you've raised. My sister-in-law and uncle used to call her a jinx, and I think they were absolutely right."

Song Erzhuang, feeling as if he had committed a grave offense after being scolded by his sister, said to his daughter, "Yinhua, this is your own aunt!"

"Dad, it's because you have no backbone that others dare to bully your wife and children like this!"

Song Erzhuang had been yelling all night, but now that his anger had subsided, he felt guilty again. "Yinhua, the money is back, let's go."

“My uncle’s family hasn’t paid back the money yet.” Song Yinhua looked at her uncle. “Uncle, will your family pay back the money on their own initiative, or do I really have to throw something on my cousin Hanwen and his daughter, and hold up a torch to force them to pay back the money?”

Song Hanwen's wife quickly hugged her daughter tightly, fearing that Song Yinhua would harm her.

Song Dazhuang's expression gradually turned cold. He turned to Tang Suxiang and said, "Give the money back to Erzhuang."

Tang Suxiang refused, as more than a thousand was no small sum.

His monthly salary is less than 200 yuan, so this 1,000 yuan is equivalent to more than half a year's salary. He saved it for his eldest son to start a business.

Over the 1,200 yuan, Song Dazhuang and Tang Suxiang got into a public argument and made an excuse to say they would go to the credit union to withdraw the money the next day before paying it back.

Song Yinhua asked the villagers to invite the staff of the village credit union, and in front of the whole village, she withdrew 1,260 yuan.

The villagers who were watching were talking amongst themselves, saying that the person had money but wouldn't pay it back.

After this incident, Song Yinhua became famous in the village.

Everyone in the village knew that Erzhuang's eldest daughter was fierce and not to be trifled with.

After the bad reputation spread, no one in the village bullied the family anymore, and no one asked Qiao Guilan to do work for them. When they spoke to her family, their attitude became more and more friendly.

Song Dazhuang's family and Song Hongyan completely cut off all contact with Song Erzhuang.

They happened to meet in the village. Song Erzhuang took the initiative to greet them, but Song Dazhuang's family ignored him and harbored resentment towards Song Erzhuang's family.

The whole village knew that the two brothers had fallen out.
