Chapter 185 The House Was Sold

"I disagree! Don't even think about selling this house!" Chang Guofu roared on the other end of the phone.

Old Man Chang was doused with a bucket of cold water. Thinking he had done something wrong, he immediately lowered his voice.

"Guofu, what is it that you are dissatisfied with?"

"I'm not satisfied with anything! Dad! If you still consider me your son, then I'm the one who has to sell this house!"

After saying that, Chang Guofu slammed down the phone. Old Man Chang stood there, looking utterly gloomy.

He dotes on his youngest son and wants to fulfill any of his requests.

However, he dared not offend his second son's wife, and he dared not openly express his thoughts, which put him in a very difficult position!

Old Man Chang had been pondering this for several days, and he hadn't dared to tell Zhou Hongyu even after several meetings. Finally, he couldn't hold back any longer, and that night, as the old couple lay in bed, he tried to get Old Woman Chang's help.

Granny Chang still had some influence with Zhou Hongyu.

Granny Chang shook her head: "It's no use saying anything now. The contract has been signed and the property certificate has been changed. Xingwang's wife plans to come over tomorrow to distribute the money to everyone. If you go and say you don't agree and make her angry, do you believe she won't give you a single penny!"

I believe you!

Old Chang clutched his chest, his face pale. He felt terrible, absolutely terrible. "Guofu, I'm useless!"

The matter is already settled. In order to prevent that wicked woman Zhou Hongyu from keeping your one-eighth of your share, Dad had no choice but to do this.

While signing the contract and changing the property certificate with the Meng family during the day, Zhou Hongyu couldn't help but think of the group of awful former residents who were refusing to move into the house. She had mentioned it beforehand, but she was worried that the Meng family hadn't taken it to heart.

The Meng family might need this in the future, so let's not let this cause any rift.

Butler Meng smiled slightly: "Miss Zhou, don't worry, we've encountered this kind of thing many times before, it's nothing."

I thought to myself, this person is quite nice. I'll mention it to my father when I get back, and we can work together again in the future.

Zhou Hongyu was filled with admiration. It turned out that such a big problem was nothing to them. Impressive!

The next day, when it came time to divide the money, Old Man Chang felt unusually guilty and didn't dare to tell his beloved youngest son. He silently put away the money meant for the third son's family.

From the initial two-eighths share, to Zhou Hongyu taking back one-eighth of the old couple's share, the eldest son's family eventually gets three-eighths.

Chen Zhaodi couldn't stop smiling as she counted the numbers in her bankbook. She was rich!

Chen Zhaodi casually said politely, "Hongyu, thank you for your help this time. I'll treat you to a meal sometime!"

I just don't know when or how long it will be before I have the time.

Zhou Hongyu rolled her eyes; she knew Chen Zhaodi all too well.

She wanted to have a nice meal, but she couldn't wait for Chen Zhaodi's meal.

On a rare day when money was distributed, Chang Hongbing happened to be home on his day off. He turned to the elderly couple and suggested, "Mom and Dad, everyone is happy to receive the money, so why don't we, the eldest son's family, treat everyone to a meal at a restaurant tonight!"

He was unaware that he thought the eldest son's family had only received two-eighths of their initial share, but even so, he felt he had taken advantage of the other families.

Once the passbook was in Chen Zhaodi's hands, there was no way to get it back unless she was killed. Chang Hongbing could only try his best to get it back from other places.

Upon hearing this, Chen Zhaodi clutched her bankbook tightly and glared at Chang Hongbing.

His son and daughter aren't even married yet, and he's already so loose-fisted! This won't do!

After what happened with Chang Pengfei, Chen Zhaodi was a little worried that her son might find her a troublesome in-law in the future, so she needed to save more money.

If they encounter the same issue of buying a wedding house again, she can just pay to resolve the trouble and save her son from ruining this important matter for the rest of his life.

Old Man Chang's smile was forced. He was currently receiving one-eighth of the three wives' share, but the Lan Hua sisters' share was still undecided. He was the first to receive such a large sum!

Old Man Chang wasn't in the mood to celebrate: "Hongbing, let's skip the restaurant celebration. Not everyone gets that much, so don't make others upset!"

Zhou Hongyu looked at him and said, "You're pointing at me!"

I'm not going to listen to all this nagging!

Zhou Hongyu put on her hat and put her hands in her pockets: "Since I'm not planning to go out for dinner tonight, I'll go back after we split the money. It's getting dark quickly these days!"

She left after saying that, not giving Old Man Chang a chance to elaborate.

As soon as she left, Old Man Chang regretted it!

Zhou Hongyu is so shrewd, the house price must be much higher than the originally expected 50,000 yuan. He should have persuaded Zhou Hongyu to give more money, at least to subsidize the Orchid Sisters.

The brothers all divided the money, but the Orchid sisters didn't get a penny. How painful it must have been for them to know that.

If Zhou Hongyu had mind-reading abilities, she would definitely roll her eyes at him on the spot and then tell him, "You can take your precious youngest son's share and divide it up again."

The money is in your hands now, and you can do whatever you want with it!

After distributing the money, Old Man Chang tossed and turned all night. The next day, unable to bear the guilt any longer, he took his savings book to Chang Guofu.

The three couples are all incredibly busy; you can hardly see them for days.

Chang Guofu said he was busy with work and wouldn't go home because he didn't have time.

Sun Yanxia said that she lives at her parents' home, which is close to her workplace, so it's convenient for her parents to help take care of the child. Since Chang Guofu doesn't go home, she doesn't go home either.

So much so that if Old Man Chang wanted to hand over his share of the money to the third branch of the family, he had to call the convenience store in advance to make an appointment for the time and place to meet. That's really something else!

The call was answered quickly, but the people at the school told Old Man Chang that Chang Guofu was not at work, but they could pass on a message if needed.

Old Chang hung up the phone sheepishly. How could he let someone else handle the money? He'd call back later.

Old Man Chang had just come out of the convenience store when he saw Chang Guofu returning from the alley entrance with a cold face.

"Guofu, Dad has something to tell you..."

"Dad, I also have something to tell you. Let's go home first!"
