Chapter 30 Cutting in Line Through Back Doors

Chen Zhaodi was not psychologically resilient; she was already as timid as a quail, and was immediately frightened by the commotion, turning into a startled little bird.

Zhou Hongyu squinted at the father and daughter who were talking, and they looked extremely familiar!

Who is it?

I just can't remember!

The woman with braided hair was not afraid of the shouting father and daughter at all. Since she took charge of this part of the work, she had dealt with many individual business owners who came to the garment factory to purchase goods, and she knew their ways very well.

The woman with the braided hair raised her chin and crossed her arms: "An explanation? If you want to do business with our factory, you have to do what we say. Otherwise, go find somewhere else to get an explanation!"

After saying a few impolite words, the woman with the braided hair told Zhou Hongyu and the others to go to the warehouse to retrieve the goods.

Zhou Hongyu followed.

Chen Zhaodi looked back at the angry people still queuing and timidly followed beside Zhou Hongyu.

When they reached the office next to the warehouse, the woman with the braided hair went in to call for people. Chen Zhaodi breathed a sigh of relief: "Why are these people all like dogs that have been starving for days and go crazy at the sight of a bone!"

Before Zhou Hongyu could answer, the woman with the braided hair who had just gone in came out again.

The woman with braided pigtails scoffed, "They can easily make money by buying goods from our factory, reselling them, and then just sitting there. How could they not act like dogs that go crazy at the sight of a bone!"

His words also carried a hint of bitterness.

After saying that, he handed a form to Zhou Hongyu.

"Fill out the list of the goods you want to order, and then sign your name. Of course, you can fill in anyone's name!"

Zhou Hongyu quickly filled out the form. The woman with the braided hair picked it up, looked at it, smacked her lips, and flicked the form.

"You've ordered a bit too much; it's almost a third of our inventory for today!"

Someone had put in a good word for her, and Zhou Hongyu was able to buy goods at a price that was 1.5 times the usual price!

Zhou Hongyu handed a box of face cream to a garment factory worker at the opportune moment: "It was bought in Shanghai and it has a pleasant fragrance when you use it."

The woman with the braided hair immediately unscrewed the cap, smelled it, and accepted it with satisfaction: "Okay, someone above has already spoken to you, I'll go get the goods for you right away!"

After confirming that the woman with the braided hair had left, Chen Zhaodi raised her eyebrows: "We've already built up a good relationship, and you still insist on wasting a box of face cream that you brought back from Shanghai!"

Zhou Hongyu looked at her and said, "She is a factory employee and knows more than us. It's just a box of face cream. If she can do us a favor, we can have an easier time."

Chen Zhaodi nodded, "That's right."

In short, it was Zhou Hongyu's face cream that was wasted!

After a while, the woman with the braided hair returned with a group leader from the warehouse.

The woman with the braided hair instructed, "They've already given you their purchase order. Now take them to pick up the goods!"

The team leader agreed and led Zhou Hongyu and the others to pick up the goods.

As they walked past the warehouse entrance, they ran into the father and daughter who had been so aggressive at the front of the line earlier. The two of them turned their heads away angrily when they saw Zhou Hongyu and her companion.

However, the group leader smiled and exchanged a few polite words with the father and daughter.

After they parted ways, the team leader smiled and said to them, "These two are big clients of our factory!"

Chen Zhaodi opened her mouth in surprise. No wonder he was so arrogant!

Zhou Hongyu asked, "Even if they are major clients of the garment factory, this is the first time I've ever seen someone so arrogant!"

The market is still experiencing a supply shortage. People's living standards have improved, and their demands are also higher, but production capacity cannot keep up. Garment factories still maintain a certain degree of high-handedness towards individual businesses that come to them to purchase goods.

Even if a major client of a garment factory is openly defying the factory's employees when faced with unreasonable demands, that's quite formidable.

The team leader coughed a few times: "It has nothing to do with you. They had a conflict with the woman with the braided pigtails earlier, and..."

The team leader remarked, "They consistently buy up nearly half of the warehouse's inventory every day, and many of our bonuses depend on them!"

Oh, I see.

Upon arrival, the team leader instructed his subordinates to enter the warehouse and move the goods.

Zhou Hongyu and her group went out through the back door of the garment factory and waited at the place they had agreed upon with the group leader.

While waiting, a man wearing beer bottle glasses and a faded shirt came over and tried to strike up a conversation.

"Oh, is this your first time here, ladies? I was just behind that father and daughter in line. Everyone calls me Lao Peng. Would you mind exchanging contact information? We'd love to work together sometime!"

cooperate?

Once we've done this job, we're done.

Chen Zhaodi quickly refused, saying, "We're just working for someone else. You won't need our contact information. We'll leave after we finish our work and get our wages!"

Old Peng looked them up and down, his expression showing disbelief, but he didn't want to point it out.

Old Peng was trying to figure out how to get closer to them, but before he could think of a solution, his companion called him away.

Chen Zhaodi shuddered, "She still has the nerve to call me 'sister'? Humph! How embarrassing!"

Turning to Zhou Hongyu, he said, "Let me tell you, once you've done this job, you're done. From now on, stay as far away from these people as possible. They're really strange; there are all sorts of people like them!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than Zhou Hongyu gave him a push: "The goods have arrived!"

The team leader and a few people carried the goods out, one pile after another, making Chen Zhaodi dizzy.

Chen Zhaodi whispered from the side, "You can buy so many clothes for 1,400 yuan!"

That department store looks ridiculously expensive!

The cost of the goods was 1,400 yuan, the main house had 1,000 yuan, Zhou Hongyu had 200 yuan in savings, and the other 200 yuan was this month's salary plus the bonus from last time!
