After that day, Ke Qiao always felt that Chang Rihui was strange, a kind of oddity that she couldn't quite put her finger on.
Before that, they often shared sweet little secrets that made her heart flutter and she couldn't calm down for a long time.
Chang Rihui became rational, or rather, indifferent; nothing could stir his emotions.
He started focusing on the academic performance of the schools in Keqiao, and every few sentences he spoke revolved around the students' learning situation.
Ke Qiao couldn't help but feel frustrated. Her parents were concerned at home, but she couldn't escape this ordeal at school either. She suddenly felt suffocated and depressed.
Ke Qiao told Chang Rihui about the situation.
Chang Rihui paused, explaining that the motivation behind many of his actions was to allow Keqiao to fully concentrate on the college entrance examination.
Chang Rihui apologized: "Keqiao, I didn't mean it. I promised the principal I would participate in the Mathematical Olympiad, and I wanted to solve the problems you couldn't solve before I left so you wouldn't be in a hurry to wait for me to come back!"
...
Ke Qiao reluctantly agreed, "Fine, then you can continue explaining the questions to me!"
Ugh, so tired!
Ke Qiao complained that Chang Rihui was too strict, but when Chang Rihui left for the competition, she wiped away her tears. Before parting, she mustered up her courage and kissed Chang Rihui's cheek for the first time.
Ke Qiao said, feeling wronged, "Just focus on your game and come back to see me soon. I'll miss you!"
Chang Rihui's mind went blank. She kissed me! She actually kissed me!
Chang Rihui was speechless with emotion, nodding repeatedly in agreement: "Okay, I'll definitely come back with the award to see you!"
Ke Qiao kicked the dirt at her feet in frustration. When did she say she had to make him bring back the award? Humph!
After seeing Chang Rihui off, Ke Qiao returned to the classroom, took out her homework, and prepared to study. Even though Chang Rihui wasn't around, she couldn't slack off, lest Chang Rihui find out she was being lazy and start nagging her. Humph!
Ke Qiao was about to start writing when the class monitor sat down at the desk in front of her.
The class monitor joked, "Keqiao, I heard the list of guaranteed admissions has been released. Do you think Chang Rihui is on it?"
What's it to you!
Ke Qiao rolled her eyes. She wasn't stupid; the class monitor was definitely trying to gather information.
Ke Qiao brushed it off: "I don't know that, class monitor. I think you should focus on your studies. I heard you've been wanting this spot, but if your grades don't improve, there's nothing you can do!"
A hint of annoyance flashed in the class monitor's eyes: "Ke Qiao, Chang Rihui is already a senior in high school and he can still represent the school in competitions. If he wins an award, I think he should be able to get a guaranteed admission spot. What about you then? You two will have to separate!"
Ke Qiao panicked, belatedly realizing that the class monitor already knew about their relationship.
Although she and Chang Rihui have been making quite a stir lately, she didn't expect that the people around her would find out so quickly.
Ke Qiao used anger to cover up her panic: "Please get out of my way, I don't have a guaranteed admission spot, I need to study!"
The class monitor walked away with a half-smile, somewhat regretful. Seeing that Ke Qiao and Chang Rihui had been getting increasingly into trouble and were about to go too far, even though the homeroom teacher had repeatedly defended them, they would still have to be criticized by the school. Suddenly, the two of them calmed down and became diligent and well-behaved students.
Chang Rihui also has to participate in extremely important competitions for the school.
The homeroom teacher had an excuse to protect them, so no one could do anything about it.
The squad leader sneered repeatedly, "This is still not enough!"
Keqiao awaited Chang Rihui's return with sweet anticipation.

When Tang Xianfang returned home from get off work, she found her whole family waiting for her in the living room.
Tang's father flew into a rage: "Tang Xianfang, you've really grown up! You won't even come home and insist on living in someone else's house! You have no idea how much trouble you've caused them!"
Tang Xianfang looked at her cousin's family with great apology.
Tang's family quickly shook their heads, saying that these things were not important, and that they should just be careful not to be bullied!
Tang Xianfang nodded slightly, took a deep breath, and came to her family: "Dad, what do you want from me? Didn't you say last time that you'd just pretend I didn't exist?"
The eldest sister, Tang Aifang, retorted bluntly: "Tang Xianfang, how dare you speak to Dad like that!"
Tang Aibao, the younger brother, muttered, "Second sister, what parent wouldn't abandon their own child? Don't think the worst of Mom and Dad!"
Tang's mother remained silent, watching Tang Xianfang wipe away her tears, as if it were all Tang Xianfang's fault!
Tang Xianfang clenched her fists: "Alright, stop causing trouble at my cousin's house, I'm not staying here anymore!"
She knows better than anyone that all this charade was just to force her to go home!
Sure enough, upon hearing this, Tang's father went from anger to laughter, and Tang's mother stopped wiping away her tears.
Tang's father said with relief, "Xianfang, you see, this is the right thing to do. You don't live in your own home, but you insist on staying at someone else's house. It's not good to talk about this. You've even made my workplace get criticized by the leaders!"
Tang's mother kept agreeing: "That's right, family matters should be discussed behind closed doors. We must not let them interfere with your father's work!"
Tang Xianfang felt a wave of bitterness. She had finally managed to move out after a fight and was about to escape her suffocating family of origin, but in an instant, it felt like she had returned to square one.
The older sister and younger brother were chuckling. Tang Xianfang knew what they were laughing about. As long as she moved back home, a large part of the burden would be taken over, making things much easier for the two of them.
Since Tang Xianfang had agreed to move out of Tang's house, the Tang family didn't linger and left.
They're too lazy to even help move things.
Tang, who was helping the two of them pack their things in the room, couldn't help but sigh: "Xianfang, your aunt and uncle are so biased. You shouldn't go back. You'll only waste your life in that house and you'll never become stronger!"
