That very night, Sister-in-law Zhou, along with her youngest son Zhou Huai'an, stormed into the capital.
At this moment, the Zhou family had just finished their meal in the villa area.
Over the years, Sister-in-law Zhou has not paid much attention to her husband's family. She first went to the family compound, and then the security guard of the family compound led them to the villa area next door.
The magnificent villa was a sight to behold, and Zhou Huai'an was dazzled by it.
The security captain of the villa area verified their identities and asked for relevant information. He then told them to wait where they were while he went to report the situation to the homeowner.
Sister-in-law Zhou's lips twitched as she sneered, "Of your father's four siblings, our family is the poorest. They've lived off your father's fixed salary their whole lives! And that's it! Your father doesn't even think about making an effort!"
She turned around and pointed at Zhou Huai'an beside her, saying meaningfully, "Your dad is reluctant to sell the house in our hometown? I don't think so! He's just old-fashioned and conservative, always thinking only of himself. If he cared about you, he should agree no matter what!"
Zhou Huai'an lowered his head. He felt that his father disliked him the most, since he was the most disappointing, and his father should look down on him.
Sister-in-law Zhou got angry when she saw Zhou Huai'an's timid and cowardly appearance. She wondered who her youngest son took after for his spineless behavior!
Inside the villa, Zhou Hongyu heard the message from the security captain, told Granny Zhou and the others, and hurriedly went out with the security captain to pick up the person.
Upon seeing Sister-in-law Zhou and her nephew Zhou Huai'an, despite some past events, Zhou Hongyu immediately put on a big smile, not revealing any extra emotions.
"Sister-in-law, Huai'an, you're back!"
She used the phrase "You're back," which displeased Sister-in-law Zhou.
Sister-in-law Zhou only recognizes her home in Shanghai; her sister-in-law speaks without any sense of boundaries.
Zhou Huai'an didn't think much of it. He relied on his family for food and had the lowest status in the family. He had to be mindful of other people's feelings all day long. When Zhou Hongyu smiled at him, he would smile back even more enthusiastically.
Sister-in-law Zhou snorted inwardly. Was Zhou Hongyu being so enthusiastic because she knew that Zhou Shang had just started a divorce with her, and was therefore trying to win over her youngest son with a bombshell?
Sister-in-law Zhou had a bellyful of questions, but she didn't show them on her face at all.
Zhou Hongyu led them into the house, and the Zhou family members greeted them warmly.
The Zhou family remained unchanged, as if nothing had happened, and Zhou's sister-in-law's worry about her shameful secret being made public was completely dispelled.
Zhou Shangcai indeed dared not utter a single word to his family!
With her biggest worry answered, Sister-in-law Zhou finally had the mind to share with the others. But when she saw them, she was shocked to find Shen Keyi in a wheelchair!
Sister-in-law Zhou asked cautiously, "What's going on, sister-in-law?"
Shen Keyi has always been frank about his leg: "It's injured, so it's not easy for me to walk!"
"Oh..." Sister-in-law Zhou responded, but her eyes still held a hint of inquiry.
Shen Keyi smiled, not minding her attitude at all. She was just Zhou Zhongliang's sister-in-law, not even a blood relative, their relationship was so-so, let her watch if she wanted.
Zhou Zhongliang couldn't stand it any longer, so he pulled over Zhou Shangcai, who had been acting as an invisible man, and threw him in front of Zhou's sister-in-law.
I'll use all my strength on this guy; my wife is very precious.
As soon as Zhou Shang appeared, he stole all of Zhou's sister-in-law's attention. Zhou's sister-in-law wanted to settle accounts with him!
Zhou Shangcai didn't think he was wrong. He felt very awkward and didn't want to get close to his sister-in-law, but he also didn't want to show his marital discord in front of his family.
Zhou's sister-in-law precisely exploited his awkwardness to gain absolute dominance in their marital relationship.
The Zhou family saw Zhou's smugness and felt cold inside. Now that the two had reached the point of divorce, she was still thinking about controlling Zhou Shangcai. What was the true value of this relationship in her heart?
Granny Zhou sighed inwardly and changed her mind. If her eldest son insisted on divorce, she would not care anymore!
Zhou Zhongliang sneered and shook his head. It seemed that his sister-in-law didn't understand the situation. This marriage was bound to end in divorce, and no one could persuade her otherwise!
As for Zhou Hongyu...
Zhou Hongyu was pulled aside by Zhou Huai'an, who kept asking her all sorts of questions, as Zhou Huai'an wanted to get information about the situation abroad from her.
Zhou Huai'an had no desire to go abroad for further education. He preferred to live a life of leisure in China, relying on his parents and siblings. He didn't need to go abroad and didn't have to work hard, so why would he want to go abroad to make a name for himself?
He admitted that he was a hopeless good-for-nothing!
Unfortunately, his mother and wife had high hopes for him, hoping he could turn over a new leaf and make something of himself, while his siblings saw through his true nature and just wanted to find an excuse to get rid of the trouble.
Zhou Huai'an was 90% against going abroad, but it wasn't something he could decide!
After arguing for a while, Granny Zhou felt unwell and didn't want to see the lifeless state of Zhou Shangcai and his wife.
She waved her hand wearily: "Alright, I'm going to rest. If you want to chat, go to Hongyu's house and chat until you're done before you come back!"
Zhou Zhongliang had already foreseen the fate of his elder brother and sister-in-law. He took Haoran's hand, pushed Shen Keyi's wheelchair, and called his nephews to leave.
Zhou Hongyu glanced back at Granny Zhou and then decisively followed.
"Auntie, wait for me..." Zhou Huai'an felt a chill on the back of his head and immediately chased after her.
"Let's go!" Sister-in-law Zhou looked at Zhou Shangcai with confidence. Zhou Shangcai glanced at Granny Zhou with heartache, gritted his teeth and walked ahead.
Who are you throwing a tantrum at!
Sister-in-law Zhou snorted unhappily, then followed.
After walking a short distance, Sister-in-law Zhou suddenly stopped and called out to the person walking ahead with their head down.
Sister-in-law Zhou: "Zhou Shangcai, you stop right there! I didn't come to the capital to see you throw a tantrum. Are you getting a divorce or not? Give me an answer!"
Zhou stopped and remained silent.
Hmph, you little brat, dealing with you is a piece of cake!
Sister-in-law Zhou walked briskly to Zhou Shangcai's side, put her hand on his shoulder and said, "You want a divorce, right? Fine! Anyway, we're in Beijing now, so it'll be convenient for you to tell your family, especially your mother. We'll go back in a different direction now, tell your mother, and then go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get the divorce certificate tomorrow!"
