Chen Zhaodi immediately tensed up. The old man had just arrived and already had a huge bowel movement. Who would want to stay here for ten days or half a month!
Chen Zhaodi had no choice but to give in: "Sister, sister, that beautiful woman!"
Chen Zhaodi called out to the beautiful woman, and the old widow at the door revealed a smug smile and turned her head.
"What's up?"
What else could it be? Let us out!
Chen Zhaodi almost gritted her teeth: "Beautiful lady, we were wrong, we shouldn't have fought with you, please have mercy and let us out!"
The day when reinforcements never arrive is coming; this local tyrant is no ordinary person.
"Tsk!" The old widow smiled and looked at Old Man Chang, who still looked unconvinced. She kept him in suspense.
"Letting you out isn't impossible, but I need to ask my son's opinion first!"
My son is filial and successful; he took time out of his busy schedule to come and redeem the person.
The old widow walked out of the detention cell with a smile. She hadn't taken more than a few steps when Boss Du's secretary came to her and informed her.
"Madam, the boss's former boss is in Hai Province. The boss went out to pick him up. He asked me to tell you that he might not be free to have dinner with you these next few days."
"My God, how could I have given birth to such a heartless son—"
The old widow started wailing right there at the police station; she wasn't usually such an unreasonable person.
Her son was transferred back to his hometown after leaving the military. His boss used connections to arrange a decent job for him. Like any other parent, she hoped that her son would settle down and start a family, and she helped take care of his children while she was still relatively young.
Unfortunately, her son couldn't stay put. He quit his enviable job and went out to make his own way in the world, eventually succeeding.
The mother and son would occasionally have conflicts over trivial matters, and the son became more disobedient than before, often refusing to come home to see her.
The old widow was extremely anxious. Unfortunately, Old Man Chang always managed to touch on her sore spots. During their argument, he would boast about his dutiful eldest son and curse the old widow that her future children would be unfilial, which immediately enraged her.
