Chapter 472 Words of Tigers and Wolves

The next day, Ye Yun woke up at noon.

Having been on edge for a month because of the development of the garment factory, she suddenly relaxed, and because she was indeed prone to fatigue, she inevitably woke up to find the sun already high in the sky.

The first snow fell gently outside the window.

The room, however, was warm and cozy.

The stove beside the kang (a heated brick bed) was burning coal, making soft crackling sounds from time to time.

She looked out the window.

The first snow that fell overnight had bent the branches low, and birds were fluttering their wings on the branches, creating a beautiful scene.

The curtain was lifted, and Qin Zheng walked in, his shoulders dusted with snowflakes.

As soon as he entered the house, he quickly brushed the snowflakes off his shoulders. He was wearing thick gloves and carrying two pheasants whose legs were tied.

Looking up, he saw that Ye Yun on the kang (a heated brick bed) was awake, and the man's strong eyebrows instantly curved into a smile.

"Wife, you're awake?"

He took off his clothes, which were still damp with cold, and went over to hug Ye Yun.

"Look, honey, Erdanzi and I hunted two pheasants for you on the nearby mountain." He said, pointing to the two pheasants that had just been thrown on the ground.

Ye Yun's lips twitched involuntarily. "You went hunting pheasants with Erdanzi again?"

"yes."

"What did you use to hit it?"

"A slingshot." Qin Zheng was afraid she would misunderstand, so he gently brushed her nose with his cool fingers, a smile spreading across his face. "What are you thinking? Don't worry, Erdanzi and I aren't that kind of unreliable people. Besides, neither of us has one."

Ye Yun couldn't help but laugh.

That's not what she meant.

"You two really can't find anything else to do together." Ye Yun shook her head and helplessly wiped away the water droplets from the corner of his eyebrow.

The snow that had been soaked outside melted into tiny water droplets as soon as it came inside.

Instead, Qin Zheng tucked her small hand under the covers, and smiled slightly with his deep eyes beneath his thick eyebrows: "I'm cold. You can touch me after I warm up, otherwise you'll get cold."

Ye Yun nodded.

Qin Zheng got up and stretched a bit. Seeing that she was comfortable and had no intention of getting up for the time being, he said, "How about I call Gu Jin over later and make you stewed chicken with potatoes?"

Will Gu Yingying come?

"Probably, it's the weekend today." Qin Zheng thought for a moment, then changed his mind and said, "If you don't like it, I won't call them. I'll go to the kitchen and ask you to stew the chicken."

"No need, come along if you want."

Ye Yun smiled.

Gu Yingying has been very well-behaved lately. I don't know how Gu Jin trained her, but the girl hasn't bothered her for a long time.

When she went to the department store to check out the stores before, she ran into Gu Yingying, who was out shopping with her friends.

The young girl even took the initiative to say a couple of words to her, making sarcastic remarks, but then managed to persuade her friends to buy more than ten pieces of clothing from her counter.

As he left, he even said, "The money you earned from these clothes should be enough to buy you two chickens, right? You have to call me when you're eating chicken!"

After saying that, he walked away with a proud and arrogant air.

Qin Zheng caught two pheasants on the mountain today, so he's going to eat them.

Less than half an hour later, the two members of the Gu family arrived.

Ye Yun had just gotten up and dressed when she heard Gu Yingying's silvery laughter coming from outside.

Someone in the factory built a snowman, and Gu Yingying was overjoyed, circling around it as if she had discovered a new continent.

Gu Jin was pulled into the small kitchen next door by Qin Zheng, where one of them peeled potatoes and the other boiled water and killed a chicken.

Gu Jin was the one peeling the potatoes.

Because he doesn't know how to kill chickens.

He dared not.

Young masters from wealthy families, pampered and privileged, may cook and tend fires, but they would never do bloody work like killing chickens and plucking feathers.

Qin Zheng was adept at this kind of work.

The curtain was suddenly lifted.

Gu Yingying stamped the snowflakes off her feet, sniffed her frostbitten nose, and hurriedly walked in.

"Why are you acting like a pampered young mistress?"

She looked up and saw Ye Yun still sitting on the kang (a heated brick bed). She rolled her eyes, threw the bag of unknown contents onto the table, and hurriedly ran to the stove to warm her hands.

Ye Yun raised an eyebrow, "Young mistress?"

"Look, my brother and Qin Zheng are both busy in the kitchen." Gu Yingying pouted and gave her a look towards the window.

Ye Yun smiled.

She didn't say anything else, but supporting her clumsy waist, she sighed helplessly and said, "Sigh... I used to like going to bed early and getting up early, but Qin Zheng stayed up too late last night."

"What did you say?"

Gu Yingying stared at her, dumbfounded, with an incredulous, dazed look.

What inappropriate words did she hear?

"What are you thinking about?" Ye Yun stood up, gently poked her forehead with her slender white fingertips, and laughed, "He massaged my feet yesterday, and he massaged them until too late."

Gu Yingying's lips twitched.

After a long pause, she pursed her lips and chuckled, "The newspaper should really invite you to be the editor-in-chief."

Ye Yun, "..."

Her little mouth is quite eloquent.

Gu Yingying didn't argue with her, but raised her chin and pointed to the bag of things wrapped in oil paper on the table.

"Here, my brother bought you some red date cake from outside. Would you like to try it and see if you like it?"

"Yeah?"

Ye Yun was in a good mood and walked over, saying, "Then I must try it."

He slowly opened the oil paper package, picked up a piece of red date cake, looked at it with interest, and then turned his gaze to Gu Yingying.

"It doesn't look very appealing."

"Eat it or not, it's up to you!" Upon hearing this, Gu Yingying stopped warming herself by the fire, stepped forward, grabbed a handful of red date cakes, picked up a piece, and stuffed it into her mouth. "If you don't eat it, I'll eat it. I don't even want to give it to you!"
