Chapter 52 Why is her face so red?

He stole a kiss from her...

He actually stole a kiss from her...

He actually dared to kiss her without warning...

Ye Yun was completely dumbfounded, staring intently at Qin Zheng who was so close to her. Qin Zheng didn't even glance at her. He straddled the motorcycle, started it, and the motorcycle sped off like a wild horse.

The momentum from the start caused Ye Yun to lean forward and bump into the man's broad, sturdy back.

The wind from the car's speed ruffled her hair, blurring her vision. She brushed her hair aside, staring blankly at the man's back, and noticed a blush creeping up his cheeks to his ears.

It's astonishing that such a burly, rough man would blush.

Ye Yun couldn't help but laugh.

Facing the wind, she boldly reached out and wrapped her arms around the man's waist, resting her head on his shoulder, and together they headed home in the afterglow of the setting sun.

Qin Xiang'e looked around at home and finally saw a familiar figure riding a motorcycle on the road.

"Mother, Zhengzi is back, I'll go greet him!" She excitedly told the old lady and hurried downstairs, her mind also preoccupied with Ye Yun's return visit.

Qin Zheng drove his motorcycle uphill and slowly stopped in front of the yard.

As soon as the car stopped, Qin Xiang'e quickly stepped forward and asked Ye Yun with some concern, "His wife, what did your family say?"

What did they say?

Ye Yun didn't immediately understand which matter Qin Xiang'e was asking about—the dowry or the marriage itself. Her mind was also in a mess, so she simply passed the question to Qin Zheng, saying, "You talk to Auntie about it. I'll go back to my room for a bit."

With that, she plunged into the house.

Qin Xiang'e watched Ye Yun's hurried figure as she entered the house and couldn't help but wonder, what's wrong with Zhengzi's wife?

Why is her face so red?

Oh no, could it be a fever?

Qin Xiang'e's expression immediately changed upon thinking of this. She turned around to chase after Ye Yun. If Ye Yun had a fever, she needed to find someone to see her quickly, or even call a local doctor. Otherwise, what if Ye Yun's small body got seriously injured from the fever?

However, before Qin Xiang'e could take two steps, Qin Zheng called out to her.

"Aunt, let her stay by herself for a while."

"Huh?" Qin Xiang'e looked puzzled. "Qin Zheng, what's wrong with your wife?"

Qin Zheng: "It's nothing."

Qin Xiang'e wondered if the two of them had quarreled after returning home.

Inside the house, Ye Yun immediately lay down on the kang (a heated brick bed) and rolled around several times, covering her face, before she felt her burning cheeks feel much better.

She was too embarrassed to speak on the way back.

Her mind was still a mess, filled with the image of Qin Zheng kissing her, a feeling she couldn't quite describe.

Neither in her previous life nor in this one, she had never been this intimate with Qin Zheng. Even on her wedding night in her previous life, she refused to let Qin Zheng touch her lips.

However, on the other hand...

Qin Zheng's actions made her realize that she didn't seem to be too resistant to his closeness.

The sky darkened quickly.

To avoid having to eat by lamplight at night, the villagers usually eat early. Ye Yun took a short break before getting up to prepare dinner. Suddenly, a muffled sound came from outside, accompanied by Qin Xiang'e's exclamation.

Startled, she quickly went outside.

Qin Xiang'e stood under the eaves, a large red mark on her forehead from being hit. Holding a piece of broken wood, she looked up at the roof beam, clutching her head. "Why are things still falling down from this dilapidated house?"
