"Brother Qin Zheng... you didn't come back for two years. I thought you had died out there. You have no idea how worried I was about you. But when you came back, you got married!"
"You're so heartless. You knew perfectly well that I was still waiting for you at home..."
Tian Xiaohui was crying her eyes out, standing in front of Qin Zheng, sobbing and trying to reach out and take his hand.
Qin Zheng nimbly dodged.
He seemed somewhat resistant to Tian Xiaohui's tearful complaints. His thick eyebrows were tightly furrowed, and his restless eyes showed obvious signs of agitation.
Tian Xiaohui was rejected, and her outstretched hand froze in mid-air.
This made her even more heartbroken.
"Brother Qin Zheng, how about this? I know you and Ye Yun don't have a good relationship. Why don't you get a divorce, and I'll marry you!" She took a deep breath and looked at Qin Zheng with determination, as if she had made up her mind.
Qin Zheng's brow twitched noticeably. "Tian Xiaohui, are you out of your mind?"
He started cursing as soon as he opened his mouth.
Surprisingly, Tian Xiaohui wasn't angry. She just said anxiously and helplessly, "Why are you still scolding me? I heard from my aunt that you and Ye Yun have no feelings for each other. Ye Yun doesn't even share a room with you. You two don't even sleep in the same bed. Her heart is full of Zhao Wensheng, not you. Brother Qin Zheng, you are a man of principle. Do you really intend to spend your whole life with someone like that?"
Qin Zheng's face darkened instantly.
What he hates most is anyone mentioning Zhao Wensheng in front of him.
"Who I spend my life with and how I spend it is none of your business. Mind your own business!" Qin Zheng said sternly, and stepped over her to leave.
As a result, Tian Xiaohui grabbed the hem of his clothes.
"Brother Qin Zheng, why can't you turn around and look at me? I've liked you since I was a child. All these years I've helped you take care of your grandma, and I've always given her the best things. Can't you see how I feel?"
She wasn't the type to cling on relentlessly, but she was truly unwilling to give up on Qin Zheng just like that.
She waited for him silently for so many years, how could he just marry someone else like that?
Qin Zheng turned around and forcefully snatched the clothes from Tian Xiaohui's hands.
Then he turned around and was about to leave again.
Tian Xiaohui panicked and reached out to grab Qin Zheng's clothes again, but before she could speak, a soft voice came from behind them.
"Qin Zheng? What are you doing here?"
Qin Zheng turned his head and saw Ye Yun walking towards him with a smile.
His expression suddenly changed, and he hurriedly snatched the clothes from Tian Xiaohui's hands without any politeness, then took two or three steps back to distance himself from her.
Tian Xiaohui was completely dumbfounded.
Ye Yun watched as Tian Xiaohui's expression slowly changed from surprise to anger upon seeing her, just like when she stormed into Lao Guo's house and berated her. She wasn't angry, though. After walking to Qin Zheng's side, she took the man's arm and greeted him generously, "This must be Hui-meizi, right?"
Tian Xiaohui disliked her, wiped away her tears, and angrily turned her head to the side.
"Why did you come out?" Qin Zheng asked, his voice tinged with unease, as if afraid she would misunderstand. He put his arm around her waist.
Ye Yun smiled.
"My aunt said you were going to Old Guo's house and was worried you'd get taken advantage of, so she sent me out to check on you." She said this with a smile and gentle eyes as she looked at Qin Zheng.
Qin Zheng rarely saw Ye Yun like this, and was momentarily dazzled by her gentle smile.
This scene was witnessed by Tian Xiaohui.
Tian Xiaohui was already heartbroken, and seeing this scene now felt like needles had gotten into her eyes, causing her unspeakable pain. She was so angry that she turned around and was about to leave.
"Hey, wait a minute!"
Ye Yun called out to them, took Qin Zheng's hand, and led him to Tian Xiaohui.
