Early in the morning, alarms were raised in Huaicheng. The daughter of the chairman of a top 100 company was kidnapped from her home on the day of her wedding. The perpetrators were foreign nationals who were not Chinese citizens. This alarmed the special forces. The docks, airports, and train stations were all thoroughly searched, and an emergency carpet search was carried out throughout the city.
Uncle Tang was so anxious that he suffered a heart attack.
Aunt Tang was so anxious that she kept crying.
Upon receiving the news, Gu Jin and Qin Zheng immediately joined the search team, personally searching the entire city, leaving no corner unchecked.
Finally, news of Tang Shu arrived at a secluded, abandoned dock.
When everyone arrived at the dock, Tang Shu was found in a wooden cage, her hands and feet bound with rope, and her mouth gagged. Angus was with her, waiting for the ship to smuggle her away.
Gu Jin's eyes suddenly turned red.
He instinctively rushed over, but fearing that Angus would hurt Tang Shu, he stubbornly kept his feet firmly planted within a safe range.
Angus was also surprised.
Seeing so many people suddenly appear, he was like a frightened wild beast, pulling out the knife from his waist and holding it to Tang Shu's neck.
The sharp blade instantly drew a bloody line from Tang Shu's fair skin.
Gu Jin was shocked and exclaimed, "Don't be impulsive!"
"Get Out!!!"
Angus roared at Gu Jin like a wild beast, as if Gu Jin was trying to take away his beloved possession.
With his roar, the blade in his hand would uncontrollably rub against Tang Shu's neck.
Gu Jin dared not move again.
Inside the wooden cage, Tang Shu leaned quietly against the corner, her hair covering half her face, her gaze neither joyful nor sorrowful as she looked this way.
"A smuggling boat will pass by here in half an hour. If we let him continue to hold Tang Shu hostage, we can only watch helplessly as he takes Tang Shu away when the boat arrives," Qin Zheng warned.
Gu Jin clenched her fists.
The veins on the back of his hand throbbed as he stared intently at Tang Shu, his eyes red with barely suppressed rage.
He had been on countless missions with Qin Zheng, and they had encountered even the most dangerous situations. Even though he had been on the verge of death many times, he had never lost his mind and become completely flustered like this time.
Angus was still yelling wildly.
"Back off, make them all back off!" He waved his arms, clearly wary of the guns in the special forces soldiers' hands.
The special forces remained completely still.
One of the men, his eyes gleaming with a sharp light, stared intently at Angus and shouted across the room, "Don't you want the woman in your hands? Are you willing to hurt her?"
"Ha ha ha ha--"
With a forceful thrust of the dagger in Angus's hand, blood seeped from Tang Shu's neck, congealing into bright red beads that slid down her collarbone and slowly flowed into her fair heart.
Gu Jin's pupils contracted.
"Shut up!" He glared at the person who shouted, wishing he could kill him.
The special forces soldier who had shouted the order realized his mistake, pursed his lips, and silently went into a state of alert.
"Xiao Shu, Xiao Shu..." Tang Yueguang couldn't bear to see Tang Shu in danger. He clutched his chest and fell backward unexpectedly.
Ye Yun quickly helped him up, "Uncle Tang..."
"Medicine, medicine..."
Tang Yueguang trembled as he pulled a bottle of medicine from his pocket. Ye Yun immediately understood and poured out two quick-acting heart pills, stuffing them into his mouth.
Tang Yueguang finally recovered.
But looking at Tang Shu locked in the wooden cage, he couldn't bear it any longer and collapsed to the ground, swaying precariously.
Jiang Feng was unusually cold.
“Angus…”
Having been locked up for the entire morning, Tang Shu hadn't gotten a good rest, and her faint voice sounded hoarse and tired.
The icy chill on her neck felt even more real.
"Honey, don't try anything funny. I know you've always been smart, but this time you won't have a chance to shine!"
Angus leaned close to Tang Shu's ear, his breath icy cold, like a sneer licking the tip of her ear, sending chills down her spine.
"Sweetie, wait a little longer. Once the boat arrives, we can leave here!"
Tang Shu was speechless.
A large group of people were standing a dozen meters away. She could see Gu Jin at the head of the group. The man stared at her without moving. Even from that distance, she could clearly sense the tension and urgency in his expression.
She couldn't help but twitch the corners of her mouth.
“Angus, you don’t need to do this. With such a good family background, why come to my country to do such a thing?”
"Even if you take me back to your country, what difference will it make?"
"Your country won't let you off the hook either. This isn't just about you and me; it's a matter between two countries. Once it escalates to the national level, even your family will be implicated. Do you want to drag your entire family down with you?"
"My family?"
Angus suddenly burst into manic laughter.
"Darling, do you know why I came to find you?" He patted Tang Shu's face, his smile becoming even more arrogant.
Tang Shu frowned in disgust.
She hates being touched by others, especially if the other person is someone she dislikes.
"The Gordon family was destroyed long ago!"
Angus suddenly roared.
"Before I came here, the Gordon family was wiped out by their rivals! I, Angus Gordon, was killed in a bloody battle by my father, who risked his life to send me to your country, saving my life so that I could come and serve you!"
"I only have you left... But darling, why did you marry someone else!"
He became particularly excited at the end, shaking Tang Shu's shoulders as the blade rubbed against her neck. Tang Shu felt a slight pain in her neck, and a look of pain finally appeared on her face.
In the place where she studied, besides Angus's family, there were two other powerful families.
