Who are you?
"Don't move!"
Suddenly, something hard and cold pressed firmly against Ye Yun's abdomen, making her tense all over.
The man, wearing sunglasses, spoke in a low voice with a hint of ruthlessness: "Drive! Follow my directions!"
The driver immediately turned pale with fright.
Never having encountered anything like this before, the driver gripped the steering wheel tightly, his voice trembling as he asked Ye Yun, "M-boss lady..."
"What are you looking at her for? If you want to live, do as I say! Drive, turn right!"
The man gave Ye Yun and the driver no chance to communicate. As he spoke, he even brandished the knife pressed against Ye Yun's abdomen menacingly.
The driver looked at Ye Yun through the rearview mirror.
Ye Yun took a deep breath and said helplessly, "Stop looking at me, just do as he says."
"good……"
The driver started the car and, as the man instructed, slowly turned right and headed out of the city.
In the car, Ye Yun secretly glanced at the man who was threatening her.
Wearing sunglasses, with a slender build, the exposed lower half of her face showed wrinkles around her nose and mouth, making her appear to be around forty years old.
"Who sent you?"
Ye Yun remained calm and asked indifferently.
The man's eyes behind the sunglasses seemed to be looking at her. He lowered his voice and clicked his tongue, saying, "You've been taken hostage, and you still have so much to say. You really don't know what death means."
Ye Yun: "This isn't the first time I've been taken hostage."
The man was taken aback.
After all these years and so many deals, this is truly the first time I've met such a calm woman.
Ye Yun clicked her tongue lazily, "Don't you believe me? When I was in my old home in the mountains, a cannibalistic fugitive came to our village and almost ate me."
The man was stunned again.
That's strange, how come this woman is still in the mood to chat at a time like this?
Unaffected by the current situation, Ye Yun continued, "You have no idea how dangerous the situation was back then. The wanted criminal had his knife on my leg, just like the knife in your hand. With a little force, he could have scraped a piece of flesh off me!"
"Then what?"
The man seemed to have developed an interest in watching the drama unfold.
Ye Yun smiled gently and said in a clear and articulate voice, "To find out what happens next, please listen to the next chapter."
"Holy shit—"
The man seemed enraged and held the knife to Ye Yun's neck: "Are you kidding me?"

The car braked suddenly, catching the man off guard; the knife in his hand nearly slashed Ye Yun's neck.
"Damn it! How do you drive?!"
A look of panic flashed across the man's face, and he angrily cursed at the driver in front.
Ye Yun raised an eyebrow slightly.
Why are you so tense? Are you planning to kill someone to cover it up?
The next second, the man said angrily, "If I slash this woman's face, how am I supposed to sell her for a good price!"
Ye Yun: "..."
Okay, okay, you won't kill people, but you'll kidnap them, right?
This is even worse.
The driver turned around nervously and said, "Brother, it's not that my driving skills are bad, there's something blocking the road ahead."
The man glanced ahead.
To reach the outside of the city, one must take a mountain path. A large rock appeared on the path ahead, with some gravel scattered around it, indicating that it had fallen recently.
Ye Yun quickly explained, "The road you chose is near the mountain. There's been development going on in the mountains recently, so there's always some tack on the mountain roads. That's normal."
The man muttered a curse under his breath.
Clearly, he was unaware of this, muttering to himself, "This little wench didn't even tell me, what a bastard."

The man pointed the knife at the driver and ordered, "You, get out and move that rock!"
"What?"
The driver, incredulous, pointed to the boulder ahead that looked to weigh several hundred kilograms and exclaimed, "Brother, are you out of your mind? Even an elephant couldn't kick such a huge rock, and you're asking me, a mere mortal, to move it?"
Hey buddy, you're pretty funny.
The man clearly knew this approach wouldn't work, and he gritted his teeth in anger, cursing his mother again.
Seeing this, Ye Yun suggested, "Brother, how about we take another route?"
What?
Upon hearing her words, the man's eyes widened in surprise once again.
I've seen stupid people, but I've never seen anyone this stupid. How could a woman ask human traffickers to take a different route and sell her into the mountains?
"Don't try to play tricks on me. I've been in this business for so many years, I've seen it all. You think you can outsmart me? You're still too green!" He didn't believe Ye Yun's words, and holding the knife, he started gesturing threateningly in front of her again.
Ye Yun clicked her tongue.
"Look, I'm trying to help you and you're still not happy about it. I'm just trying to make a good impression on you so you can find me a good buyer. Anyway, I can't just run away, right?"
Perhaps her words moved the man, or perhaps the man simply couldn't think of any other good solutions, and thus adopted her proposal.
"Fine, I'll go to Tuoergou in the north of the city. You're the driver, you know how to get to the other roads, right?" He glared fiercely at the driver, not forgetting to warn him: "Don't try anything funny. Your boss's wife's life is in my hands. If you behave, I can keep her and find her a good family. If you try anything funny, I can take her life right now!"
