Chapter 70 Whose Seed Is It?

Chapter 70 Whose Seed Is It?

As soon as my head hits the pillow, my eyelids feel so heavy I can't lift them.

I had just drifted off to sleep when I dreamt that I was looking for a toilet everywhere.

The outhouse at the village entrance was locked, and there was a long queue at the public toilet. She was so anxious she was jumping up and down.

In her dream, she had just squatted down when someone called her name from behind.

Just as she squatted down, someone patted her on the shoulder and told her to leave.

She tried four or five times in a row, stomping her feet in frustration, but still couldn't find a place to pee.

Finally, she couldn't hold back any longer.

No matter who was calling her, she plopped down and, before she could even take her pants off, peed herself.

A warm flow trickled down her inner thighs, and she suddenly woke up, looking down.

The bed sheet was soaked.

I urinated for a full minute, the sound of water dripping continuously.

But when she finally opened her eyes, the scene before her made her heart sink.

The dark water stain on the bed spread from the buttocks down to the thighs, even soaking through the mattress.

Lu Daqiang was startled awake by the noise. He turned his head and glanced at it, his brows immediately furrowing into a deep frown.

"How disgusting! How old is she to still wet the bed? Aren't she ashamed?"

Li Fangfang was both ashamed and angry, her cheeks flushed red.

Instinctively, she raised her hand, wanting to pinch Lu Daqiang hard to shut him up.

But just then...

"Knock knock knock!"

A series of urgent knocks suddenly sounded on the door.

"Knock knock knock!"

The sound came again, heavy and urgent.

She was so frightened that her heart pounded.

It's Shen Cuifen!

She must have found out something, that's why she's banging on the door!

Did she bring a knife to attack me?

How could he possibly care about arguing with Lu Daqiang?

Not to mention pinching or arguing.

Almost instinctively, she grabbed the blanket and wrapped it haphazardly around herself.

He covered his entire body, head and all, and huddled in the corner of the bed, trembling.

She bit her lip hard, praying desperately in her heart.

God help me, my two grandsons must stop Shen Cuifen from rushing in and seeing this!

Honestly, she really didn't want to die!

I haven't lived enough yet, and I don't want to die such an ugly death, being humiliated in public.

She shivered in bed for several minutes, straining to hear any sounds outside, and broke out in a cold sweat.

Gradually, she sensed something was wrong.

The direction of the knocking didn't seem to be coming from her room.

It came from the other end of the courtyard.

She hesitated for a moment, then finally mustered her courage, gently lifted a corner of the blanket, and tiptoed out of bed.

Barefoot, I walked to the window and cautiously peered out through the crack.

Shen Cuifen was standing at Lu Zhongshun's door, her fists clenched, pounding on the door repeatedly with a harsh, heavy sound: "Thump! Thump! Thump!"

"Zhongshun, get up and study! The sun's already high in the sky, why aren't you awake?"

She shouted.

She called out several times before she heard any rustling sounds coming from inside the house.

Lu Zhongshun rubbed his sleepy eyes, his hair disheveled, and slowly opened the door a crack.

"What about that old man?"

Shen Cuifen glanced into the room and, not seeing Lu Weidong, immediately frowned, her voice rising abruptly as she shouted, "Where is he? Where did he go?"

Lu Zhongshun, who was still drowsy and half asleep, was startled awake by the shout.

“My dad…” he stammered, “My dad didn’t come home all night…”

Before she could finish speaking, Shen Cuifen gritted her teeth and clenched them tightly.

"Hurry up and get dressed, get ready for school! Don't just stand there!"

Lu Zhongshun saw that her face was ashen and her eyes were blazing with anger.

How could I dare to ask another question?

They were afraid that saying the wrong word would bring trouble upon themselves.

He immediately turned around and rushed into the house, frantically searching for clothes.

He didn't even bother to change his pants because they were on backwards; he hurriedly put them on.

Shen Cuifen didn't wait for him at all, turned around and strode straight to the kitchen.

When she came out again, she was holding the kitchen knife that she had sharpened to a gleaming shine the night before!

She moved with lightning speed, taking only a few steps to cross the courtyard gate and walking out without looking back!

His back was ramrod straight, his shoulders were taut, his face was full of anger, and his eyes were sharp as knives.

Li Fangfang hid behind the window, watching her back from afar, her heart leaping into her throat.

"Ouch! Ouch!"

She gasped softly, clutching her chest, her face turning pale.

"Good heavens! Good heavens! Has Shen Cuifen completely gone mad? She's holding a knife! Is she really going to confront Lu Weidong? Wouldn't that lead to someone's death?"

She paced back and forth in the room in a panic, her steps frantic, unsure of what to do with her hands, sometimes rubbing them, sometimes clutching the hem of her clothes, her whole being restless and anxious.

She knew in her heart that she couldn't hide her son's messy affairs any longer.

She had lived in constant fear for years, dreading the day her secret would be exposed, and now the moment had finally come.

She stood in the dimly lit room, her hands trembling slightly.

The image of Lu Weidong lying on the ground kept flashing through my mind.

She knew she couldn't avoid this hurdle.

Now, Lu Weidong is in big trouble.

The villagers are full of gossips.

Once the news gets out, Lu Weidong will never be able to hold his head high again.

And all of this was caused by her.

She gritted her teeth, her eyes welling up, but now was not the time to cry.

She had to find a way to save her son.

"Serves you right!"

Lu Daqiang sneered and his mouth twisted into a crooked shape.

His eyes were filled with ruthlessness.

He stared at Li Fangfang and said in a hoarse voice, "My son? Ha, what a joke!"

Li Fangfang rushed up to him and slapped him across the face.

With a crisp, loud "snap," the sound echoed in the small room.

She trembled with rage, her chest heaving, her eyes glaring at Lu Daqiang as she roared, "Lu Daqiang! Are you even human? Jianguo is your own son! How could you say such a thing?"

"You got hurt because of karma! Who told you to do such a despicable thing! You're always gossiping and have a black heart, you can't stand to see others doing well!"

"Pooh!"

Lu Daqiang spat out a mouthful of yellow phlegm, which flew directly into Li Fangfang's face.

The phlegm, with its strong, foul odor, flew past her cheek.

His eyes were bloodshot, and he was panting heavily when he roared, "My son? You put your hand on your chest and ask yourself, whose child is he anyway!"

He was so excited that he slapped himself hard in the face.

"Slap! Slap!"

As he hit her, he growled, "I was blind to have married such a shameless old woman like you!"

Tears welled up from the corners of his eyes, mingling with cold sweat as they slid down.

"If you hadn't lured me into this family, would I have fallen from the tree? Would I be bedridden and unable to get up for the rest of my life?"

When Li Fangfang took the initiative to come to his door to marry him, Lu Daqiang thought he had hit the jackpot.

At that time, he was just a cripple who lived on relief food. People in the village avoided him, and even the dogs would bark at him.

But Li Fangfang appeared at his doorstep with a smile, dressed in new clothes and carrying a basket.

She said she was willing to marry him and take care of him for the rest of her life.
