Chapter 2 Family
Ningjing, who closed her eyes, had no idea what the little boy was thinking. Although it was a cold winter day, she felt warm.
Ningjing fell asleep unknowingly. Ning's mother looked at the sleeping Ningjing, gently tucked the corners of the quilt for her, then quietly went out and closed the door.
Then he greeted the little boy who was obviously feeling aggrieved outside and said with a smile: "Xuanxuan, your sister is asleep. You stay home and watch the door. It's the same if you wait for your sister to wake up and then give her the bird eggs to eat."
The little boy's eyes lit up and he thought about it. At least the bird egg would end up in his sister's stomach, and he would be satisfied.
He looked up at his sister's room. It was because he didn't take good care of his sister that she fell into the river. His sister must be so cold. He wished that he was the one who fell into the river, and the one lying in bed with a fever. As long as his sister didn't get sick, it would be fine.
Ningjing was lying on the bed but was not actually asleep. She had a feeling she had never had before, and her surroundings were filled with something she had never felt before. The white-collar elite allowed her to quickly judge that this family was not wealthy. It was very likely that the millet porridge or the mushy bird eggs were the best they could offer. However, she did not reject this family and felt very lucky.
She just felt a little sorry about her newly renovated house and her newly bought car.
Ningjing knew that the original owner's mother should have gone out, and the little boy was still outside the house in such a cold day.
Ningjing opened her mouth, not knowing how to ask the little boy to come in. The little boy was only about eleven or twelve years old, so how could she, an old lady who was almost thirty years old inside, call out to him?
But before Ning Jing could get confused, the little boy seemed to have heard the sound and walked in quietly. He met Ning Jing's eyes, his eyes lit up, and he quickly came over and said, "Sister, are you feeling better? Are you hungry? I have some bird eggs here. Eat them quickly, and you'll feel better after you eat them."
As he spoke, he handed three bird eggs to Ning Jing, then quickly took them back and turned his back.
peaceful:"."
He quickly turned around, took out a wrapped bird egg, handed it to Ning Jing, and said, "Sister, eat it first, and I'll peel it for you."
Ning Jing looked at the white and tender bird eggs, a little stunned, and only came to her senses when the little boy put the bird eggs into his mouth. It was delicious...
They quickly finished eating the three bird eggs, but Ning Jing was still staring at the little boy in a daze. The little boy thought his sister was not full and felt a little regretful. He wished he could find more bird eggs. He wanted to go out to look for them, but he was worried about his sister being home alone.
He reached out and touched the ahoge on Ningjing's head and said, "Sister, wait for mom to come back, and I'll find some bird eggs for you."
peaceful:"."
She was comforted.
"Sister, you must tell your third brother when you go out next time. I will go out with you and I can protect you."
As he spoke, he showed off his muscles. Even though he couldn't see anything through his clothes, Ning Jing could still sense the little boy's pride.
The little boy kept chattering, but Ning Jing didn't answer, just looked at him quietly.
The little boy didn't notice anything wrong. It was the same before. His sister was very self-conscious due to her physical condition and always kept silent.
It was all his fault. If he hadn't scared his sister when he was young, she wouldn't have gotten sick. The little boy Ning Jingxuan blamed himself and thought he must find more bird eggs to nourish his sister. Maybe she would get better. Even if she didn't, he would still take care of her.
