"Fine, then you can come out and sleep on the chair after they've both fallen asleep." Su Xiaonuan punched him lightly. "Xiao Moran, remember our agreement. Don't cross the line, or I'll cripple you."
Xiao Moran took a step back fearfully, believing she had that ability.
With her skills, it would only take her a minute to cripple him.
There's absolutely no need to question it.
"Wife, I will never forget."
"Don't call me 'wife'!" she warned him.
“Okay, I won’t call you ‘wife’ behind closed doors.” He nodded, then added, “But I still have to call you ‘wife’ in public.”
“Okay, you’re allowed to call me that outside,” Su Xiaonuan said, opening the door was just part of the performance.
This show is just for outsiders.
Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain to the child's maternal grandparents.
Calling him "wife" won't hurt him. Let him call her that in public if he wants to.
"Okay, I'll go heat up some bathwater for my wife right now." Xiao Moran's heart trembled.
He gave her a smile so handsome it could steal your soul.
Even though he looked haggard, he was still breathtakingly handsome.
I wanted to slap his smug face, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Only after watching his figure disappear from sight did she loosen her clenched fist.
I told you not to call her "wife" at home, but you still dared to call her "my dear wife." Isn't that asking for a beating?
He not only heated the bathwater for her, but also adjusted the water temperature.
When Su Xiaonuan returned to her room after taking a shower, she found that he had already made a makeshift bed on the floor.
"What are you trying to do?" she gritted her teeth, not daring to yell at him for fear of waking the two children.
"I think I'd rather sleep on the floor." He pointed outside. "If Xiaohong and Zhongling find out I'm sleeping on a chair, they'll feel bad about it. If they feel bad, they definitely won't sleep well either. If they don't sleep well, they'll have to come and make me sleep in the room. After all that fuss, nobody will be able to get a good night's sleep, don't you think?"
This was Xiao Moran's backup plan; he had been thinking about it ever since she initially agreed to let him into the room.
Even if I can't share a bed with her, at least I can stay in the room.
Sleeping in a room that carries her scent is a kind of happiness.
"Xiao Moran, so you're such a shameless scoundrel?" Su Xiaonuan realized she'd been tricked and looked at him in disbelief. "If my parents heard this, would they still think you're an honest person?"
"Honestly, I promise I will be honest." He made a pleading gesture. "Just let me sleep on a makeshift bed on the floor in my room. I'm a man, after all, and I have to save face, don't I? If those two tell other people and it gets back to my workplace, what face will I have left?"
"Is it shameful to sleep on a chair?" she scoffed. "The bed isn't big enough; it's enough for me and my two kids. Don't you know how to tell people that?"
“Okay, if anyone asks, that’s what I’ll say.” He pretended to be obedient and agreed with her. “However, this makeshift bed is already set up, so let me sleep here tonight. I won’t sleep on the makeshift bed tomorrow night.”
"Okay, go take a shower. Keep your voice down when you come in and out, don't wake the child."
Xiao Moran turned around, secretly pleased once again.
He would take advantage of her as soon as she gave in.
After taking a shower, Xiao Moran came in wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, and quietly closed the door.
Su Xiaonuan was resting with her eyes closed when she heard a noise. She opened her eyes and said, "Turn off the lights!"
"Could you turn off the light a little later?" he pleaded, pointing to his freshly washed hair. "My hair isn't dry yet, but it's short, so it won't take long; it'll be dry soon."
He wanted to see her a few more times.
"Go dry yourself off with a towel and go to sleep!"
"Okay." He magically produced a dry towel and dried his hair.
She couldn't help but glance at it a few more times. After taking a shower, the fatigue and exhaustion from the long journey were completely gone.
He looked incredibly dashing.
This heroic spirit made him even more dashing.
It's the kind of look that makes your face flush and your heart race.
"My hair will dry quickly, and I'll turn off the light soon." He noticed her staring at him and assumed she was unhappy that he hadn't turned off the light yet.
Su Xiaonuan was taken aback at first, opened her mouth as if to say something, but in the end she said nothing.
He smiled at her again.
She was captivated by his smile once again.
Now he looks not just handsome, but so dashing that it makes your legs weak.
Suddenly, she felt like she couldn't breathe.
If she weren't sitting on the bed, her legs would have gone weak.
"Don't smile at me!" she blurted out.
"Oh." He nodded, feigning ignorance, thinking she couldn't resist his smile.
Su Xiaonuan stopped looking at him and lay down directly.
He went over and covered her with a thin blanket.
She opened her eyes, wanting to say something harsh to him.
"It's a bit chilly at night, so cover your chest and kidneys. Don't let those areas get cold." His hand accidentally touched her soft spot.
His gentle and tender manner made her blush with embarrassment. She pulled the thin blanket over herself and covered her entire head with it.
"Look at you, your son is already so old, and you're still so shy." He shook his head, then picked up the hand that had broken the rules and looked at it. "It wasn't on purpose, it was just an accident. Don't be like that, quickly stick your head out, don't hold it in. I'll go turn off the light and go to sleep now."
They were both exhausted from the day, and soon after the lights were turned on, they both fell asleep.
In the morning, the two children woke up and found their father sleeping on the floor. They hadn't seen their father for a few days, so they got out of bed.
"Daddy, Daddy." DouDou and GuoGuo shook Xiao Moran on their mat on the floor.
