“Who said that master is stupid?” Jiang Yi raised an eyebrow and pinched Xiao Moxi’s nose harder again. “Look, it feels so good to grab his nose like this.”
"Ahhh!" Xiao Moxi's little temple is about to explode.
He rolled his eyes in exasperation. "What are you yelling about? If you've got the guts, then run away!"
She reached out to sneak up on him, but failed; his large hand grabbed hers. She struggled to pull her hand away, and in the struggle, they suddenly bumped into each other—forehead to forehead, nose to nose, lips to lips…
Both of them seemed to be imprisoned, their bodies motionless, staring at each other in astonishment.
He saw the look of astonishment in her eyes.
She saw his stunned expression in her eyes.
It took them a while to recover from their shock.
The two instantly separated.
"Oops..." Jiang Yi covered his lips, which he had just kissed, and inwardly cursed. This was a huge problem. He had accidentally kissed this wild girl, and she was sure to blow his head off. But that was the least of his worries; what if this wild girl fell for him?
Xiao Moxi covered her chest with one hand, and suddenly the suffocating feeling that had been lingering in her chest for so long was swept away. All her bad feelings disappeared at this moment, and her mind was filled with his smiling face.
A girl who has never been in a relationship can lose her heart with just one kiss.
A thought flashed through her mind, and she quickly said to Jiang Yi, "This is my first kiss."
"What do you mean?" Jiang Yi stared at her. "You're not going to make me take responsibility for you like this, are you?"
Upon closer inspection, she realized he was indeed different from her, and she immediately flew into a rage, raising both fists to punch him. "It's all your fault! Why did you have to pinch my nose for no reason? If you hadn't pinched my nose, this wouldn't have happened."
"Are you ever going to stop?" He grabbed her hands, caught off guard by this unexpected turn of events. "It was unintentional, why are you hitting me? Besides, only the two of us know. If you don't tell and I don't tell, no one will know we kissed."
"You're shameless!" She broke free from his hand, looked out the window, and ignored him.
He wasn't driving to the military compound, but rather towards the university town.
She was looking out the window, but saw nothing; otherwise, she would have screamed long ago.
"Uh, are you alright?" Jiang Yi looked at her with concern.
"Mind your own business!" she pounded on the car window. "Stop the car!"
What are you going to do?
What I do is none of your business.
He didn't want to stop the car, but kept banging on the window, so he had no choice but to pull over to the side of the road.
She opened the car door, jumped out, and ran away.
"Where are you going?" he asked anxiously, closing the car door and chasing after her.
She ran into the tree-lined path.
There were few pedestrians and the trees were lush.
As darkness fell, the dim streetlights came on.
Last time, she was almost killed by a psychopathic killer.
This time, Jiang Yi didn't dare let her run off alone, so he had to follow closely behind.
She ran, and he ran too.
She stopped, and he stopped too.
The withered branches on the path resembled the thin, bony fingers of an old man, rustling and swaying in the evening breeze.
She started running again.
A thin branch slashed across her face. She turned her head to dodge, but it still grazed her skin, and blood slowly seeped onto her face. With a dull ache, she stopped running, turned back, and yelled, "Why are you following me?"
"Your face is injured." He strode forward and raised his hand to touch her injured cheek.
"None of your business." She slapped his hand away.
His voice choked in his throat. "You..."
"I'm fine, please don't follow me, okay?"
"No, I brought you out here. If something happens to you, I'm also responsible." He pulled her away. "Go to the car. There's medicine in the car. This little face is scratched, so we can't be careless. You'll become an ugly monster later."
"It has nothing to do with you if I become ugly." A deep resentment welled up in her heart.
"How could it have nothing to do with me?" He slowly glanced at her indignant face, a smile gradually spreading across his face. "Wild girl, I know that was your first kiss. How about we try dating? If it works out, we can be boyfriend and girlfriend. If it doesn't, we can break up. That way, you won't feel bad or like I took advantage of you."
He was just using delaying tactics. Although he didn't dislike this wild girl and often wanted to tease her, he hadn't fallen in love with her yet.
She glared at him angrily. "Did I say you were responsible?"
“I didn’t say.” He shook his head. “But you said it was your first kiss, isn’t that telling me you want to take responsibility?”
“Yes, I told you that was my first kiss,” Moxi said disdainfully. “Because I wanted to tell you that you are too dirty and don’t deserve my first kiss. Just thinking about what happened between you and Lanyin makes me want to vomit.”
Jiang Yi raised his hand to scratch his hair. "I was overthinking it. Since that's what you think, I'm relieved. It's okay, just brush your teeth twice more when you get home tonight."
“I don’t need you to teach me, I know how.” She punched him in the chest.
He took her hand. "We've hit her and scolded her, let's get down to business."
"I'm not going to tutoring tonight." She felt that even if she went to tutoring, she wouldn't be able to absorb anything.
"Who said I was going to take you to tutoring?" He pointed to an unfamiliar alley. "Have you ever passed by a place like this on your way to my house?"
"Where am I?" she finally realized. "What important business are you taking me to?"
"Come on, let's talk in the car." He pulled her back to the car, found a bottle of medicine and tossed it to her. "Apply it yourself, otherwise it will leave a mark."
No girl doesn't love beauty, and upon hearing that a mark would be left, she immediately applied the ointment.
While wiping me, he asked, "Tell me, where are you taking me?"
“I’ll take you to the university town for a part-time job. It’ll be 50 cents an hour,” Jiang Yi said. “I saw you were looking for work before, so I’ll take you to try it out. If it works out, I can even ask the boss to give you a raise.”
"Fifty cents an hour?" Moshi's eyes lit up. "Is there really such a high salary for a part-time job?"
"Yes." He turned the steering wheel with a cool air. "Two hours at noon and two hours in the evening, only four hours a day. You can earn two yuan a day, which is sixty yuan a month. That's not less than those who work every day."
"Then drive faster!" She reached out and grabbed his arms, shaking them twice. "Honestly, why didn't you say so earlier? If you had, we wouldn't have wasted time. It's only 50 cents an hour."
Although her brother and sister-in-law gave her pocket money, she still felt that it was best to be self-reliant. Having a part-time job would allow her to earn money without interfering with her studies, and she would feel more confident in her life.
"Getting anxious now, huh?" Jiang Yi laughed. "Weren't you the one who wanted to run away?"
"If you had explained it to me earlier, would I have run away?" she complained.
"A woman who loves money more than anything," he muttered.
"What did you say?" She didn't hear clearly.
“I told you you’ll have to find a different place for your tutoring from now on,” Jiang Yi said. “To avoid interfering with your part-time job, I’m going to tutor you at the store, and after the lesson, I’ll take you home. Isn’t that thoughtful service?”
