"Your book is really good. Can I borrow it for a couple of days?" Jiang Xue said with a smile that concealed a dagger.
She didn't really want to borrow the book; she certainly didn't have the leisure or inclination for it. She was just thinking about how to bring up what she hadn't yet said.
Huang Yinyin's slender, phoenix-shaped eyes glanced at Jiang Xue with disdain.
“You can even understand English, why don’t you just go buy the original?” Huang Yinyin continued fiddling with her fingernails.
Jiang Xue sneered, "The original work isn't in English, Miss Huang, have you forgotten? It's in Russian."
Huang Yinyin's face instantly turned bright red. "I don't care which version you read, my book will only be shown to Ji Chen."
"You're so stingy. You should learn to be more generous like me. I was planning to lend you my husband for a few days, but I guess I'll pass." Jiang Xue stared at Huang Yinyin provocatively, her eyes hiding a sharp edge.
