Gu Xiaoling knew it was Ji Dong's voice as soon as she heard it, and didn't even bother to give him a cold look.
She knew that Ji Dong was a married woman, so she should stay away from him as much as possible. Besides, his wife was no kind person at all.
"Ji Dong, you good-for-nothing! You come home and don't even eat. What are you thinking? Are you planning to go out and find a whore?"
Xie Xiaotian was surprised to find that Ji Dongyi didn't come home for dinner when he returned. Now that they were sleeping separately, he had some peace and quiet, hiding outside all day while she toiled in the fields all day without him offering any help.
Now you're still flirting with other vixens. Don't let all that meager earnings from your job be wasted on those vixens.
"You gossip, what are you saying? I'm having dinner at my brother's house tonight, and I'm not eating the pig slop you made."
Ji Dong casually put his hands in his pockets, and looked at Xie Xiaotian with disdain.
Needless to say, Liu Aiyue found Xie Xiaotian increasingly annoying. If she had somewhere else to live, she would never have wanted to share a roof with Xie Xiaotian.
The two of them were constantly fighting, one big fight every three days and another big fight every two days.
"Even a vixen who has offspring is better than a rooster like you," Liu Aiyue couldn't help but curse as she ate her meal.
Xie Xiaotian stepped forward and overturned the table, saying, "What are you old geezers eating?"
Liu Aiyue was also getting old, and her eyes were brimming with anger. She gritted her teeth and said, "You go there alone, you shrew. Who would want someone like you? You can't even keep your husband. It's because you're incompetent."
Xie Xiaotian wished she could grab a knife and hide from Liu Aiyue. Although Liu Aiyue was big and strong, she had already run away.
She had a gold earring in her pocket and came looking for Jiang Xue again.
"Are you making steamed buns and dumplings today? Are you busy working as a worker? How about I help you cook from now on?"
Jiang Xue shook her head repeatedly, not even wanting to look at her. "No need."
"You pay me wages, just like a worker, and I'll help you take care of two little ones." Liu Aiyue leaned against the door frame, cracking sunflower seeds with a forced smile.
"No need." Jiang Xue wanted to add that her cooking was terrible, but then she thought about how she had argued quite a bit with Xie Xiaotian earlier and decided to pass on that idea for now.
"I'll give you my gold earrings as a family heirloom. I've accepted you as my daughter-in-law."
Jiang Xue grinned, looking at Liu Aiyue with disdain. "She really is a sycophant who looks down on the powerful and scorns the weak. I have money, I'll buy it myself."
"Mom knows you have money now, but this is a family heirloom, it has a different meaning."
Jiang Xue really didn't want to get into a fight with Liu Aiyue. Who knew what the old woman was up to? It was better to be on guard.
Jiang Xue shook her head. "Take it to Xie Xiaotian. Don't bother me while I'm cooking. I'm very busy right now."
Liu Aiyue showed no intention of leaving. Xie Xiaotian had just overturned the table, and her stomach was growling with hunger. If she went back to cook, she would have to clean up the mess, which she didn't want. If she went back like this, how could she possibly appease Xie Xiaotian's temper?
Jiang Xue felt sorry for Xie Xiaotian. She had kindly reminded her before, but Xie Xiaotian didn't listen. Now her life was a mess, especially with that unreliable Ji Dong, who was like a peacock, showing off everywhere.
It's fortunate that such a person doesn't have money; if they did, who knows how they would squander it.
"Mom, what are you doing here? Go back. My older brother told me to stay here, but he doesn't welcome you."
When Jiang Xue saw Ji Dong arrive, she asked before Liu Aiyue could, "Where's your brother?"
"He took Wang Jing back to Wangjiazhuang." Ji Dong pried open Liu Aiyue's hand, which was holding sunflower seeds, and grabbed them all into his own hand.
