Chapter 146 Long-standing Shameful Deeds

Without saying a word, Gu Xiaohei slapped the man across the face twice.

After the fight, the air felt completely still.

"You flirted with me, so you deserve to be hit. Who told you to break into our house in the middle of the night?" Jiang Xue quickly struck first.

After all, it's easy to hit someone. In this era, we still value public order. Once you get involved in fighting and brawling, nothing good ever comes of it.

Upon hearing Jiang Xue's words, Gu Xiaohei immediately kicked the man and shouted, "Get out of here!"

The man staggered to his feet, saying, "You all just wait. You encouraged my wife to divorce me, brought people to beat me, and slandered me. Don't push your luck."

"You'll all just wait and see," the man said angrily as he left.

Jiang Xue and Ji Chen didn't take it seriously. Ji Chen helped clear the dishes, and Gu Xiaohei and his coworkers chatted for a while before preparing to leave.

"It's in this courtyard that they're bullying people."

Jiang Xue looked outside and saw that the man had brought dozens of people back to cause trouble again.

Gu Xiaohei's face darkened. "Aren't you scared yet? Do you want to take a few more lashes before you're satisfied?"

Seeing that so many of his coworkers were there, especially that kid Gu Xiaohei, Ji Chen knew that Jiang Xue wouldn't get hurt.

He was cleaning in the kitchen and didn't go out to check.

"This woman even encouraged my wife to divorce me. If we divorce, who will help me pay off the money I owe? Help me teach her a lesson."

The man pointed at Jiang Xue, gritting his teeth and speaking angrily.

Jiang Xue shook her head and said to the young thug standing at the front, wearing a leather jacket and with slicked-back hair, "I don't believe you would hit a woman."

Jiang Xue didn't know where she got the courage, but she felt that although this man was a bit of a scoundrel, he definitely wouldn't hit a woman.

“You’re right, I definitely wouldn’t hit a woman, but we’re paid to do this, and he said he’d give me fifty yuan afterward, so I have to hit her whether I want to or not.”

Jiang Xue's lips twitched. Why was this man acting like this?

Seeing that there were many of them, Jiang Xue said, "Do you think he can come up with so much at once? I remember he owed fifteen yuan in debt and his wife had to work to pay it off for him, right? Do you think he can give so much?"

"Aren't you afraid he'll try to get something for nothing, then hand you over to jail, and not only will you not have to pay anything, he'll also teach us a lesson?"

The man's eyes darted around, his heart pounding with guilt. He knew he couldn't possibly let such a large group of people go in, but he genuinely didn't have the money. He figured he could just vent his anger first, and then borrow it later and pay it back.

Jiang Xue dared to say this because Aunt Zhou had told her this while crying and sobbing during the day.

She waved her hand dismissively and pulled out two fifty-yuan bills from her pocket. "You'll get things done if you pay, right?"

"I have money. You can do the job for double the price. As long as the person doesn't die, I'll be as ruthless as I can be."

"Great job! I love taking on jobs like this. If there are any more in the future, please call a few of your brothers." The leader had already figured out that Aunt Zhou's husband had no money, and since they were paying in cash and at double the price, how could he not agree to their terms first?

"Brothers, let's go, drag him out and beat him up."

Jiang Xue pointed at Gu Xiaohei and several other workers, "Go and supervise them, and make sure they don't slack off."

Seeing the crowd, Jiang Xue dragged Aunt Zhou's husband out and stuffed the money into Gu Xiaohei's hand, saying, "I'll pay you after it's done."

Seeing that everyone had gone far away, Jiang Xue didn't say a word, got on her bicycle and rode towards the city. If she didn't call the police now, when would she?

How could we allow this group of bad elements who disrupt social order to run rampant?
