Chapter 79 Making a Goodwill Visit

"How could you be so careless?" Xie Chunmei asked, seemingly out of concern.

But the style of the painting changed very quickly.

“Your father and I have been suffering from back pain, lumbar disc herniation, and neck pain all over our bodies lately. We have no choice but to work so hard to support you and your brother, and we’ve cried so much while doing farm work,” Xie Chunmei said, gesturing as she wiped away tears.

Jiang Xue felt a churning in her heart, and just wanted to vomit.

Seriously, are they trying to use moral blackmail so early in the morning?

Without saying a word, Jiang Xue directly handed several apples to Xie Chunmei, saying, "If you're not feeling well, you can eat them yourselves. I won't take advantage of you. I have things to do now. Go back to where you came from."

"No way! Mom bought you fruit to see you because she felt sorry for you. It cost me one dollar and fifty cents. Do you think your dad and I would eat it ourselves? We're saving every penny for you!"

Seeing that the apples had been stuffed back into Jiang Xue's hands, it seemed that Xie Chunmei and Jiang Chunsheng were determined to give her those two apples today.

However, Jiang Xue knew that this was not a visit to her injured daughter to bring apples; it was clearly an opportunity to bring her shackles.

Jiang Xue clutched an apple in her hand, her face grim, her sharp eyes sweeping over the two of them.

When she was certain that the two men's eyes were on her hand, she threw the apples directly into the river beside the road.

"Fine, I'll eat it all in one bite. Thanks, you can go back now." Jiang Xue said coldly, breaking free from Jiang Chunsheng's hand that was supporting her.

"I have something to do, I'll be going now." Jiang Xue endured the pain in her foot and hurried into the city.

Seeing that Jiang Xue was so ungrateful, Jiang Chunsheng wanted to slap her. "You worthless thing, you really don't know what's good for you."

Xie Chunmei quickly pulled Jiang Chunsheng back and gestured to him with her eyes for him to stop talking.

However, the ever-witty Jiang Xue couldn't possibly have missed it. She turned her head and stared intently at Jiang Chunsheng, her expression dark. "What did you say? Say it again?"

Xie Chunmei quickly smiled apologetically, "He didn't say anything. Your dad said your foot hurts, so be careful when you go to the city."

Jiang Xue glared at the two of them fiercely, then headed into the city without looking back. Fortunately, she ran into Aunt Zhao's husband, who was going into the city to haul cement, after walking only a few steps.

Jiang Chunsheng and Xie Chunmei were left standing there.

"What's there to be afraid of? Just because you're a boss now doesn't mean you can be so great. I don't believe she won't support me. I'm going to stay at her house and never leave." Jiang Chun was so angry that her face turned purple.

In his memory, Jiang Xue had always been lazy and gluttonous, a complete scoundrel, someone who didn't care about anything, but every time Jiang Chunsheng scolded her, she still didn't dare to talk back.

"If you can't bear it now, you really won't give us anything later." Xie Chunmei gently stepped forward and patted Jiang Chunsheng.

"Don't be angry, don't be angry. Didn't we come here for the shop in the city? We'll just have to beg and plead with her. I don't believe she won't give the shop in the city to her younger brother."

"Alright, let's just bear with it for Xiao Lai's sake." Jiang Chunsheng's heart leaped with joy at the thought of the shop in the city.

“If once isn’t enough, we can visit her a few more times. At first, she might think we have ulterior motives. But if we visit her a few more times, once that suspicion is dispelled, we can make our move.” Xie Chunmei was just like a strategist, offering advice from the side.

Jiang Chunsheng thought it made a lot of sense. "Let's go, we'll catch our old hen and give it to this worthless thing. As the saying goes, you can't catch a wolf without risking your cub."

Xie Chunmei felt very sorry for her. "No need, no need. We can just go to the back mountain and pick some chestnuts for her. Xiao Lai is still growing. How can we give her an old hen?"
