Chapter 155 He Stole Food

Ji Chen frowned, feeling uncomfortable all over. Although he was known for his excellent grades, he had never paid attention to the younger students.

Even if they were from the same village or a neighboring village, he only knew how to bury himself in his studies.

“When I was in school, I always looked up to you as a role model.”

Ji Chen didn't want to pay any attention to the chattering girl in front of him. He already disliked her because of her lie earlier.

Seeing that Ji Chen remained silent for a long time, Wang Jing leaned closer to him and said, "I'm telling the truth."

Ji Chen frowned slightly and quickly took several steps back to distance himself from Wang Jinghao.

"Let's go." Jiang Xue comforted Aunt Zhou and led her out.

Seeing the way Wang Jing looked at Ji Chen, her sixth sense told her that the innocent girl was flirting with a man.

"If you're busy, you go ahead. I'll take Aunt Zhou back first." Jiang Xue said nonchalantly, taking Aunt Zhou's hand and heading away.

Ji Chen quickly followed Jiang Xue.

Seeing that Ji Chen was about to leave, Wang Jing stepped forward to stop him.

Ji Chen dodged and immediately moved aside.

"Wait for me." Ji Chen quickened his pace and followed behind Jiang Xue.

Wang Jing looked at Ji Chen indignantly. Ever since she met this man, she had been asking around and found out that their marriage was only in name. Moreover, Jiang Xue had used such underhanded means to force him to marry her. They had been married for two years and still had no children, so their relationship must have been bad.

A sly glint flashed in Wang Jing's eyes. Moreover, she had recently heard that Ji Chen had opened a company in the city. If he took a liking to her, it would be like a sparrow flying to the top and becoming a phoenix.

Thinking of this, she deliberately cried out loudly, "Ouch..."

Jiang Xue, Aunt Zhou, and Ji Chen all turned around to look at each other.

Wang Jing leaned to one side, touching her ankle, "I think I twisted my ankle."

Jiang Xue immediately recognized this outdated green tea tactic. "Ji Chen, she asked you to take her home."

Ji Chen's face darkened. "If you want to send them, send them to your workers."

Wang Jing gritted her teeth in anger, but her tone remained gentle as she said, "I can go back by myself. I didn't say I wanted Brother Ji Chen to take me."

Jiang Xue had goosebumps all over her body. She not only disliked, but also loathed this kind of pretentious woman.

She's incredibly scheming; if it weren't for the fact that she's related to Aunt Wang, she wouldn't bother with this woman at all.

"Take care, see you in two days."

Jiang Xue seemed to have suffered a setback and was quite unhappy, secretly competing with herself.

“Brother Ji Chen is very busy, he might not be able to see us, he has to go to the construction site.” Jiang Xue didn’t give way to anyone. It was clearly her intention just now, but Ji Chen rejected her too cruelly.

"It's alright, that's his home. He has to go home eventually, doesn't he?" Wang Jing forced a smile at Jiang Xue.

Jiang Xue was too lazy to pay attention to Wang Jing anymore, so she turned around and left. Their conversation left Ji Chen completely bewildered.

Jiang Xue thought she should go directly to Aunt Wang's house, not Wang Jing, because she felt that Wang Jing would definitely do something shady later.

But then she thought about it and realized that she didn't seem to have any connection with Ji Chen, so how could she interfere with his romantic relationships?

When Jiang Xue returned home, she asked Aunt Zhou and her two children to stay for dinner. She quickly went into the kitchen and saw that a large pot of duck seemed to have been reduced in size.

"Gu Xiaohei, come here right now." It looks like Gu Xiaohei has been sneaking food quite a bit.

"What's wrong, sister-in-law? I didn't steal any food. I've been very busy." Gu Xiaohei said with a smile, scratching the back of his head as he held the carrying pole.

"You ate it, and I'm not blaming you. I was just asking if you liked it salty."

"Perfect, perfect."

As soon as Gu Xiaohei finished speaking, Jiang Xue grabbed his ear and said, "You actually lied."
