Jiang Xue stepped forward and stared coldly at Wang Jing.
Wang Jing felt uneasy under Jiang Xue's questioning gaze, her eyes darting away, and she dared not speak.
Jiang Xue laughed and said, "Is that all you've got? You're nowhere near as good as me when I stripped naked and went to bathe in the river back then. You should just say that Ji Chen raped you, then it would be a sure thing that you could marry him."
The village secretary was jolted awake by Jiang Xue's words, "What's wrong with you, child? You want to go to the security guards but they don't want you, only Ji Chen to marry you. Are you kidding us?"
Wang Jing's father became anxious, "Didn't you say you were rescued at the time? Tell me who it was. As long as that person testifies, no one will dare to say anything against you."
"I don't know, I was so scared, I didn't see clearly." Wang Jing just kept crying.
Jiang Xue was furious. "Shut up! Either go to the police station for a checkup, where any residue can be extracted, or if you don't go, then you're just putting on a show."
Ji Chen was also angry; he never imagined that something like this would happen to him.
"Mmm... Mmm..."
Jiang Xue, who was standing in front of Wang Jing's house, seemed to hear someone shouting.
She paused to listen carefully, and Wang Jing suddenly cried even louder, "Why are you doing this to me? I don't want to live anymore. What kind of girl would joke about her chastity?"
Ji Chen seemed to have heard something too. "There's a sound coming from your woodshed."
The village secretary and Ji Chen suddenly became vigilant. Ji Chen walked ahead, thinking of going to check and confirm his suspicions.
“There’s nothing here, just my cat.” Wang Jing suddenly pushed her mother aside and stood in front of Ji Chen and the village secretary.
Seeing this, Jiang Xue jumped over the low wall and entered the courtyard, heading straight for the lumber shed.
"What are you doing? Who told you to trespass on someone else's property?" Wang Jing tried to grab Jiang Xue, but Jiang Xue ran too fast.
By the time she grabbed it, Jiang Xue had already pushed open the door to the woodshed.
The village party secretary followed behind and shone a flashlight on the scene, causing everyone present to gasp in astonishment.
Jiang Xue looked at Aunt Zhou's husband, whose hands and feet were bound, and asked, "Is this the prisoner you said raped?"
Jiang Xue was genuinely worried about Wang Jing's intelligence. "She hasn't committed any crimes. She could read more books and try to imitate others. That would be better than fooling around like this."
Jiang Xue shook her head and left.
The village secretary was furious. "Who do you people think you are? We haven't done anything all afternoon, I haven't even had a sip of water. Is this really necessary?"
Wang Jing's father and mother froze on the spot, never expecting that their beloved daughter would do such a thing.
Wang Jing's father stepped forward and slapped her across the face, saying, "You've disgraced the whole family."
The village secretary untied Aunt Zhou's husband, saying, "This time no one was killed, so I'll let it go. But if there's a next time, I won't let it go so easily."
Wang Jing's eyes were red from crying, and tears flowed even more profusely. She wasn't crying because of her ruined reputation, but because she hadn't planned things properly, which meant the whole thing had failed to achieve any effect.
If Jiang Xue hadn't suggested going to the hospital for testing, she would have already prepared her excuses for going to the police station. What she didn't know was that the residue could be tested.
One wrong step led to another, causing all her plans to fall apart completely.
She gritted her teeth in anger, cursing Jiang Xue in her heart, "You did such a shameless thing, why can Ji Chen marry you, but I can't?"
