"Brother, what do you mean by 'wife in name only'? We've been married for so long, and you're always talking about 'sister-in-law' on the construction site. What are you talking about now?" Gu Xiaohei was always straightforward.
Ji Chen's face had long since turned as dark as a black line. "If you don't go to work now, I'll count it as absenteeism today."
Gu Xiaohei scratched his head, looking at the two of them with a puzzled expression.
I always had this strange feeling about those two people.
Gu Xiaoling happened to ride over. "Brother, why haven't you delivered your goods yet? Didn't you say you were going to deliver them first thing this morning?"
Ji Chen glared at Gu Xiaohei, his eyes brimming with barely suppressed anger.
"Why are you glaring at me? And what are you saying about me?" Jiang Xue's eyes were full of vigilance, and she stared at Ji Chen with great unease, feeling that what Ji Chen was saying was not a good thing.
"It's nothing, he's just talking nonsense." Ji Chen said and turned to leave. "I have to go to the construction site today. Don't go out today either. Just stay home and rest. If you need anything, just let me know."
"Don't worry, even if I leave, I'll make arrangements for Shaoheng and Shaomeng," Jiang Xue said, clearly unconvinced.
Seeing that Jiang Xue had misunderstood his intentions, Ji Chen shot a sharp look at her and said, "I was talking about you."
After he finished speaking, he rode away without looking back.
Jiang Xue stood there, stunned by that look. Just thinking about it made her feel uneasy.
She couldn't help but shiver. "Who is this person? They look so fierce."
Jiang Xue went back inside to take care of the two children and feed them breakfast.
Before I could even sit down on the bench, Liu Aiyue barged in with a big smile on her face.
Jiang Xue felt a chill run down her spine. That smile was more eerie than a grimace; how could it be such a rollercoaster ride so early in the morning?
“Xiaoxue, I don’t have much in my life except for a pair of gold earrings that your father bought for me when we got married. Now that I’m old, I don’t wear them anymore. I’ll keep them as a family heirloom and pass them on to you, my eldest daughter-in-law.”
Jiang Xue's mouth is so big it could swallow Liu Aiyue whole. What's going on here? Is this some kind of conspiracy theory?
Liu Aiyue's outrageous move was even more terrifying than a horror movie.
Before Jiang Xue could even sort out her thoughts, a series of noises pierced her eardrums.
"You good-for-nothing, to marry such a piece of trash like you."
"You stayed at my house all by yourself, forcing me to marry you, and now you blame me?"

Jiang Xue sat at the table, listening to the loud noise coming from the west room, and looked at Liu Aiyue suspiciously.
Liu Aiyue looked at Jiang Xue with an embarrassed expression, "There's nothing wrong between us, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. It's just that I had my baby a little late. So what if it's a little late?"
