Pearl's aloof expression finally cracked slightly.
"If you need to know, you will know eventually."
The boss smirked, "What will you do if he finds out?"
Pearl clenched her fist. "It's up to you."
"If you want me to be with him, then we'll be together."
"If you don't want to, I'll listen to you."
Her boss stared at her like a cunning old fox, and finally smiled slyly.
"Great job, you're very suitable for this position, I have high hopes for you."
"If you perform well, your future will be rewritten."
"You no longer need to be hunted down by your enemies, nor do you need to worry about money."
Pearl nodded expressionlessly.
Sheng Jingheng listened to the entire conversation inside from the doorway.
I felt as if I had been struck by lightning.
He never imagined that all the chance encounters, all the ambiguity, and even the claims of liking him were all fake!
This is a complete scam.
He couldn't believe it, and his fists clenched.
He was gasping for breath, his heart pounding.
He actually got scammed.
