She only brought a few packs of wedding cakes; most of them were at home.
Sheng Yueqing, however, took the car keys and said, "I can only get a refund if all the goods are in my hands."
Grandma Lin's eyes widened. "You."
She had never met a woman more cunning than Sheng Yueqing.
She's always the one ripping off others; which business would dare to rip her off?
Even if she tricked them, they would just swallow their bitterness.
Who else is as petty as her?
Sheng Yueqing didn't stand on ceremony with her and told the young police officer, "Come with me to be a witness."
"So that if we bring the things back, Grandma Lin won't change her mind again."
Although the junior police officer was afraid of the Lin family's snobbishness, he thought that their bureau chief was even more powerful and was also a relative, so he became a little bolder.
"Okay, let's go and witness this, and take a picture."
Old Mrs. Lin was furious, "You all."
But as long as one thinks that Sheng Yueqing's store will eventually go out of business, one can take the goods if one wants.
At worst, she can just go to the department store and buy something better.
So the young policeman drove back with Grandma Lin and brought all the wedding cakes back.
Fortunately, none of the wedding cakes were damaged and they can still be sold.
Sheng Yueqing took inventory and called over some of the shop owners at the entrance to witness the event.
"I've checked the goods, this is the refund."
Even though she could only get half the money back, Mrs. Lin still felt the pinch.
But she would get them all back. She spat angrily, "Get out of here, eating your pancakes will bring bad luck."
Sheng Yueqing chuckled, "You mean all those wealthy people I bought cakes from are going to have bad luck?"
"Then I'll have to have a good talk with them another day and tell them that she cursed them."
