"When Zhao saw that I didn't apologize, he raised his fist and hit me again, and even threw sand in my eyes."
"My uncle helped me block the sand, otherwise I would have gone blind."
Upon hearing this, the teacher's pupils widened.
"Zhao, how could you throw sand in someone's face? What if it gets in their eyes!"
Good heavens, this child is so naughty.
The teacher who admitted him said he was sweet-talking and clever, but I never expected him to be so wicked.
Zhao Junjie retorted, "That's because he kicked me first."
"He kicked me so hard that I fought back."
“Look, the shoe prints on my body are from him kicking me.”
Xiao Wuyou also took off her clothes to show the teachers the sand on her neck.
"He threw sand at me first. I couldn't see it, so I kicked it."
"Who knew he was all bark and no bite? He looked so fierce, but he fell down with one kick. He's so useless."
The teacher almost couldn't help but laugh.
It's strangely amusing when one child says another is all bark and no bite.
Factory Director Zhao and Huang Nianyan, however, did not look pleased.
It's natural to feel angry when your own son is called so useless.
But in front of the teacher, he didn't want to cause a scene, lest he be accused of being rude.
Huang Nianyan couldn't hold back any longer and questioned Xiao Wuyou, "What evidence do you have to prove that he threw sand at you first?"
"Maybe you kicked him first, and he threw sand at you because he couldn't beat him."
Seeing that his mother believed him, Zhao Junjie immediately retorted, "That's right. You clearly kicked me first, that's why I threw sand at you."
Sheng Yueqing retorted, "Then what evidence do you have to prove that my son kicked you first?"
"Are there any witnesses or physical evidence?"
Zhao Junjie immediately pulled out Zhao Junlong, saying, "My older brother is the witness."
"Brother, tell me, did He Wuyou kick me first?"
Zhao Junlong looked troubled.
Actually, Zhao Junjie threw sand at the other person first, and the other person got angry and kicked him.
But he wasn't sure whether he should tell the truth.
If the truth is told, then the younger brother is in the wrong.
The teacher might get angry and expel him.
So he was conflicted.
Factory Director Zhao dotes on his eldest son the most.
Seeing the difficulty in his eyes, I knew things might not be as he thought, so I immediately changed the subject.
"Alright, it's normal for kids to fight and play around, it's not a big deal."
"A few words of mutual guidance are enough; after all, we'll still be classmates in the future."
Sheng Yueqing was not distracted by his expression.
Instead, she squatted down and looked at Zhao Junlong gently, "Child, tell Auntie, did Wuyou really hit your brother first?"
She had met this child a few times, all at banquets.
Madam Zhao often took him out to various occasions and educated him very well.
He can be described as gentle and refined, honest and kind.
Moreover, Madam Zhao adored this child and probably didn't want him to lie.
Sheng Yueqing didn't want him to learn bad habits from Zhao Junjie, so she told him, "Your mother often praises you as an innocent and kind child, and Auntie believes you wouldn't lie."
"Even if you told the truth, I believe your father wouldn't blame you. After all, telling the truth is what makes a good child, right, Director Zhao?"
Factory Director Zhao was taken aback.
I didn't expect her to see through it.
This is a really difficult situation.
If the eldest son were to lie, Madam Zhao would not forgive him when they returned.
If the eldest son isn't allowed to testify for the younger son, wouldn't the younger son become a bad kid in the teacher's eyes?
So Director Zhao is in a dilemma.
He whispered to Sheng Yueqing, "Boss Sheng, it's my fault. I didn't ask first."
"But you know, the child is grown up and has to save face. Please, this time, give me some face."
"As long as you don't embarrass your child, please feel free to ask for help in the future, and I will definitely assist you."
Sheng Yueqing didn't agree, but instead squatted down and asked Xiao Wuyou.
"Son, what do you think? Mom will listen to you."
Seeing that his mother respected him, Xiao Wuyou finally showed a childlike, innocent smile.
"Mom's fine, I can handle it myself."
He walked over to Zhao Junjie and said, "You said your older brother can testify for you, then my uncle can testify for me too."
“Our witnesses will only be on our own side, so their words don’t count.”
"So, what evidence do you have to prove that I kicked you first? Please provide solid evidence, otherwise it's because you hit me first, and then you spread rumors and slander me when you can't win the fight."
Zhao Junjie was surprised that the man, who usually seemed so quiet, could speak so eloquently.
He was completely bewildered by what he was being said.
"I."
He instinctively looked at Huang Nianyan and Factory Director Zhao.
Factory Director Zhao felt sorry for his son, who couldn't beat the other party, and even felt sorry for the other party.
But if things continued to escalate, they might be the ones who lost face, so he told Zhao Junjie, "Alright, you're both at fault in this matter."
"You shouldn't have thrown sand at him, and he shouldn't have kicked you. You should both blame each other and apologize to one another."
Factory Director Zhao believes this is the best solution.
A simple apology from each other will resolve the matter.
It doesn't damage anything.
He Wuyou and Zhao Junjie both said in unison, "No."
They did nothing wrong, so why should they apologize?
The two were locked in a stalemate.
The teacher stepped in to resolve the issue, saying, "How about this: if you insist on pursuing this to the end, then find the evidence yourselves."
The adults shouldn't interfere in this matter; let the children handle it themselves.
If adults are involved, it's a never-ending argument.
Let the children solve it themselves. Even if it's embarrassing, it's their own problem, and they'll learn from it in the future.
