The Zhu family's wives huddled together, discussing, "A middle-aged man? Could it be that Sheng Jinjin is having an affair?"
"Could that man be her lover?"
"Possibly."
If Sheng Jinjin has a lover, "then what about her child? Could it not be from the Zhu family?"
The wives seemed to have discovered some earth-shattering secret.
But they were only speculating; they had no evidence.
They went to the Zhu family's house together to see what Sheng Jinjin was going to do that night.
Grandma Zhu was quite happy to see her daughters-in-law return together and invited them to sit down and eat together.
Sheng Jinjin rarely cooks. She hired two housekeepers for her family, both of whom were found for her by Wang Dao.
One person takes care of the child, and the other does the housework.
She did help with cooking in the evening.
The Zhu family's sisters-in-law all went to the kitchen to 'help'.
They said they were going to help, but actually they were going to monitor Sheng Jinjin.
Sheng Jinjin felt a little annoyed seeing that they were all there.
After all, with so many women chattering and so many eyes watching, it was difficult for her to administer the drug powder.
She made an excuse to go to the restroom, and when she came out, she had a bottle of wine and a bottle of beverage in her hand.
The sisters-in-law all understood.
I felt there must be something wrong with that bottle of wine and beverage.
At the dinner table, they exchanged glances, meaning that the wine should not be drunk.
Sheng Jinjin greeted her sisters-in-law, "Everyone, eat up! This steak is very tender. The new nanny is a good cook."
Granny Zhu chimed in, "Yes, although these two old women are from out of town, their cooking is really good. You should all try it."
After seeing that Sheng Jinjin had eaten, the Zhu family wives followed suit and ate as well.
Sheng Jinjin poured them red wine.
"This wine was a gift from a client. I heard it costs one or two hundred yuan a bottle, which is quite expensive."
"Everyone's here tonight, let's have a drink together."
As he spoke, he poured red wine for them all, and also poured some for Granny Zhu.
Then he picked up a drink and poured it for his two pregnant sisters-in-law.
"Sister-in-law and fifth sister-in-law are pregnant and can't drink alcohol, so please have some beverages instead. These are freshly squeezed fruit juices and are quite nutritious. Why don't you all have some?"
The eldest daughter-in-law and the fifth son's daughter-in-law exchanged a glance, neither daring to drink.
Smiling, she poured Sheng Jinjin a glass, saying, "Sister-in-law, have some too. You've been busy all night."
Seeing that they were all staring at her, Sheng Jinjin knew they were suspicious, so she smiled and picked up her cup, "Okay, I'll drink it then."
The sisters-in-law didn't drink it; instead, they said, "Drink the soup first. You'll get drunk if you start drinking alcohol right away."
Granny Zhu nodded, "Yes, let's eat first and then drink."
So everyone began to eat.
However, the Zhu family's wives remained cautious and were not very willing to eat it.
They only dared to sneak a few bites of what Sheng Jinjin ate.
Sheng Jinjin's lips curled up in a smug smile, looking as if victory was assured.
Zhu's eldest daughter-in-law sensed something was wrong.
If drugs were put in the food, why would Sheng Jinjin dare to eat it?
Isn't the medicine in the food?
Where is it?
Zhu's eldest daughter-in-law looked down at a pot of freshly served fish soup on the table and suddenly thought of something.
Could it be that the medicine powder was put in the fish soup?
Because Sheng Jinjin ate vegetables from the beginning and didn't drink any soup.
The other wives, on the other hand, took a sip of soup.
Zhu's eldest daughter-in-law broke out in a cold sweat.
Luckily, she didn't drink the soup.
The fifth son's wife didn't drink either.
Sheng Jinjin noticed that she hadn't drunk any, so she casually served her a bowl of soup. "This fish soup is so delicious. It's made with fish that Dad caught himself. Sister-in-law, have a bowl."
Mr. Zhu smiled and nodded, "I just caught it yesterday. I was going to invite you back to eat it anyway."
Zhu's eldest daughter-in-law looked at the bowl of soup and broke out in a cold sweat.
He picked up the soup and brought it to his lips, then immediately gagged.
The fifth son's wife also gagged.
Both of them looked a little pale, as if they really were experiencing morning sickness.
Granny Zhu hurriedly said, "If you can't drink it, then don't. Maybe the baby in your belly doesn't like it."
When Mr. Zhu heard that his grandson didn't like to drink, he smiled and said, "Then let's eat some vegetables. After you finish eating, go back and rest early."
The eldest daughter-in-law and the fifth son's daughter-in-law exchanged a glance and prepared to go back.
Both of them lied and said they were feeling unwell due to pregnancy, and prepared to leave before finishing their meal.
Before leaving, she deliberately tested Sheng Jinjin, "Mom, should I take some of this fish soup back for my eldest son? He loves the fish that Dad catches the most."
Mr. Zhu smiled and said, "Sure, take it with you."
Sheng Jinjin frowned, then suddenly stood up. "I'll go to the kitchen to get some more; we don't have enough soup here."
The eldest daughter-in-law of the Zhu family knew something was wrong as soon as she saw her like this, but she nodded and said, "Okay, then go ahead, I'll wait for you."
Sheng Jinjin went to the kitchen, but the two nannies stayed there watching over her.
That's clearly wrong.
These two seem to be there to keep an eye on them.
The eldest daughter-in-law of the Zhu family gave the other daughters-in-law meaningful glances.
They understood immediately, stood up, and tried to pull Granny Zhu to play cards.
When there are too many people, things get chaotic. Taking advantage of this moment, Zhu's eldest daughter-in-law took a small cup, scooped up some fish soup, and put it in her bag.
After confirming that the two nannies hadn't seen anything, he went to play cards with Granny Zhu.
After Sheng Jinjin finished packing the fish soup, Zhu's eldest daughter-in-law and fifth son's wife went home first.
The two went to Boss Zhu's suite together.
With a grave expression, he said, "Send both of these soups to be checked."
Go to the most expensive hospital.
Although hospital equipment is not so advanced now, they remember that some of the instruments in the hospital that Sheng Yueqing invested in were imported.
Old Zhu went there overnight.
The doctor told them to wait for the results.
On the day the results came out, Zhu's eldest daughter-in-law and fifth son's daughter-in-law went to pick up the report under the pretext of a prenatal checkup.
