Chapter 116 Factory Fire

Xia Ruzheng hurriedly asked people to keep their voices down, as there were so many guests dining here!

The man also lowered his voice and said, "Boss, there's a fire in the factory!"

Xia Ruzheng stood up suddenly in shock: "Is the fire big? Is it under control?"

The man wiped his sweat, Xia Ruzheng hurriedly handed him the teapot, and the man quickly drank the water.

After a long while, he finally felt better. He put down the teapot and said, "The fire had just started when I arrived, and everyone was busy putting it out! I don't know if it's under control. I just came to let you know!"

Xia Ruzheng shook his body and almost fainted. He had been nervous for most of the day and just when he was about to relax, something like this happened!

"Let's go! Let's go check it out!"

At this moment, Tian Nier and Haichao both noticed something was wrong and hurried over to ask, "What's wrong? What happened?"

Xia Ruzheng calmed down and said, "The factory is on fire. I need to go check it out!"

Suddenly both of them were shocked.

Haichao took off his apron and said, "Then let's go put out the fire!"

"Wait a minute!" Xia Ruzheng shouted, "Haichao, you stay here. The guests haven't left yet, and we need someone to control the situation here to prevent anything from happening. You're the most senior person in the store, so you can take full responsibility. Ni'er, you stay here and help. There's a lot of things to do in the store. There are hundreds of people in the factory, and we don't need a few of you to put out the fire! We can't let things happen at the factory and cause chaos here."

Haichao thought so too, and Tian Nier could only say, "Then you have to take good care of yourself and don't do anything stupid!"

I'm just afraid that Xia Ruzheng will rush into the fire without caring about anything, which would be the end of our ancestor's life!

Xia Ruzheng managed a smile and said, "Don't worry, I'm not that stupid. I'll just go take a look. You guys keep an eye on the store."

After saying that, Xia Ruzheng followed the man to the factory.

Fortunately, I remembered to ride a bike when I came here.

Xia Ruzheng was extremely anxious sitting in the car. Although she had pretended to be calm in the hotel, she was actually very anxious. Among her three industries now, the garment factory was the one she had devoted the most effort to and had the highest return. The accident at the garment factory was a big blow to the couple, and before Wen Zhichao left, she had promised that there would be no accidents.

We finally got to the factory. Everyone was still fighting the fire, but it looked like the fire had gotten much smaller.

Awang Haisheng, Wei Xiangqian and others now looked like black monkeys, sweating all over, with black marks on their bodies, and covered in smoke and dust.

Xia Ruzheng looked at the place where the fire started. It had turned completely black. Now only a small flame was left. He thought it would be put out soon.

Xia Ruzheng wasn't a character from a TV show, so he certainly wouldn't cry and yell as if he wanted to rush into the fire. But looking at the devastated scene, he couldn't help but burst into tears: "What's going on? Why did such a big fire suddenly start?"

When Awang and Haisheng saw Xia Ruzheng coming, they hurriedly put down what they were doing to greet him. His sister-in-law was still pregnant and was about to give birth.

"Sister-in-law, don't worry, the fire is small now and can be put out soon."

Haisheng also wiped his face, looking more like a colorful monkey. It was very funny, but no one could laugh at this time.

"Yes, sister-in-law, fortunately it was discovered early and the fire did not spread."

A group of people surrounded Xia Ruzheng and tried to persuade him. Xia Ruzheng was touched by the fact that they had worked so hard to put out the fire and had not even taken a break to comfort him. He said, "Thank you for your hard work. If it weren't for you, the consequences would be disastrous."

"It's what we should do. We all rely on the factory for our livelihood now!"

"Yes, yes." Many people echoed.

Someone brought a chair and asked Xia Ruzheng to sit down, hoping that nothing would happen to the proprietress.

Xia Ruzheng calmed herself down. Now that Wen Zhichao was not around, her status as the boss lady was the most important, so she had to remain calm and not let people down.

So Xia Ruzheng said, "Haisheng, please take some time to check what was burned and how much was lost. If any goods were burned, we must find a way to replace them so that we don't miss out on delivery when the time comes."

After hearing this, Haisheng immediately turned around and went back to work.

"Awang, take someone to the store to get some tea and some popsicles for the firefighters. And remember to send the burned people to the hospital so they can be examined by the doctors. Remember to pay the medical bills."

Awang wiped his face with his clothes while jogging to make arrangements. Usually he was in charge of personnel matters and had a lot of prestige in handling such matters.

"Go forward, the scene is still a mess. Pick out a few strong young men to clean up the area around the scene and investigate how the fire started."

Wei Xiangqian nodded repeatedly and turned to look for someone. Although he wasn't a company veteran like Haisheng and Awang, he and the boss were from the same hometown and had a good relationship with Wen Zhichao, so the workers still trusted him.

After arranging everything, Xia Ruzheng breathed a sigh of relief, his heart still burning. These were all unnecessary losses! Although it was very hot in the summer and the fabric was easily ignited, it was not like other flammable materials that would catch fire when it reached its ignition point. This thing would not catch fire unless you set it on fire!

Awang brought people to get some water, and someone poured it for Xia Ruzheng, who thanked him.

With the help of three capable helpers, things gradually became organized. The fire was put out, and those who had put out the fire were sent to the hospital. The rest of the people were fine, but they were suffering from a severe fever. After drinking water and eating a popsicle, they felt better. After resting in the shade, they began to help Wei Xiangqian and others clean up the fire scene.
