Chapter 24 Du Fang's Experience

Du Fang came in a strange way, but no one was around her. There were a few naughty kids around who were throwing stones at her.

Du Fang's mother was originally full of anger, but when she saw Du Fang lying half-dead on the tattered bamboo bed, the little bit of maternal love in her heart was aroused. She wailed, "Fang'er——" and then rushed over.

Du Fang's lower body was covered in blood, and he was unconscious. His face was pale and his mouth was also white. He looked like he was about to die.

Du Fang's mother hurriedly pulled her daughter to look around. No matter how she looked at her, she felt something was wrong. She immediately pointed to the sky and cried out: "Heartless Yang Hongwei! You beat my daughter like this! The child is gone! You are so cruel and heartless that you can't do this to her. That's your own child! Aren't you afraid that your Yang family will be extinct by doing this? Aren't you afraid that God will strike you to death? You are killing! You are killing a life, you are killing a person, do you know!"

That voice, which is sometimes gentle, sometimes high-pitched, sometimes low and sometimes sharp, is simply a model of rural women's crying!

Her crying naturally attracted a lot of people.

"Who is this from Du Fang?"

"Her mother and father! They came here not long ago and I saw them."

"You're really not afraid of being embarrassed. You even dare to come and cry. If it were me, I would hide at home every day and not dare to go out. I would be so ashamed to give birth to a girl like this!"

"That's right, but it seems their family is quite shameless and they brought a few people with them. Are they going to fight?"

"Hey! Last time, several men from the Du family came over and couldn't beat Yang Hongwei. Are you afraid of a few women this time? You'd better save your energy! It will be fun to see them all lie down like Du Fang!"

They chattered and gloated over the fight, not only because Du Fang had done such a shameful thing, but also because the Du family was not from their Haoer Village. There was a vague feeling that we were all in this together and they were outsiders.

The Yang family also came out, led by Zhang, who also brought several daughters-in-law. They probably looked out the window and saw that no men came, so they didn't let the men out.

"Bah! Wang Guihua, how dare you say that! Look at what kind of girl you raised! She married into our family and brought disaster upon us! Do you have any shame?"

So the two groups of rural women started a verbal battle. They didn't start fighting right away like the Yangs and Dus did. Instead, they stood on either side, with the two mothers-in-law taking the lead and the daughters-in-law following behind as assists. Then they started to curse, expose past secrets, insult their ancestors, and even all kinds of things and places between the legs. The essence of rural women's curse words was reflected in it.

The onlookers stared at both sides with gleaming eyes, watching the spit fly, lips twitching, and a cacophony of sounds mingling. Some realized their cursing skills were several notches behind the others, and quickly began memorizing their curses, hoping to practice them the next time they encountered a fight.

Zhang was usually cold, but she was no less skilled at scolding people, and several of her daughters-in-law were also very sharp-tongued. Wang Guihua was always at a disadvantage, and finally retreated in defeat, preparing to take Du Fang away.

Zhang said, "If you take her away, don't send her back. Anyway, she didn't bring anything with her when she got married. She's lived with us, eaten our food, and worn our clothes over the years, and she's spent a lot of money on us. The next time we see each other is when we get divorced!"

Wang Guihua uttered a spit and ordered the wives to carry the broken bamboo bed away. Of course, they didn't carry it home or to the hospital, but to the Huang family.

Du Fang was beaten like this because of what happened with Huang Zhong. Shouldn't the Huang family bear some responsibility? This was Wang Guihua's thought. Although she was a mother, her daughter really meant nothing to her. However, she couldn't completely go against her mother's wishes, so she came today. Wang Guihua was also a very contradictory person.

A bamboo bed plus one person was quite heavy. Wang Guihua's daughter-in-law could hardly walk and wanted to throw Du Fang away, but they didn't dare to do so because at home, the mother-in-law had absolute authority!
