Chapter 60 Good Vision

When talking about soy milk, both sides soon sighed.

The owner of the tofu shop is a man with a purple-black face. He must have been tanned because he carried tofu outside to sell every day.

"We can definitely guarantee a pot of soy milk every day. As long as we make tofu, there will be soy milk."

"That's great. We've got the pot ready. Let's talk about the price. How about thirty cents a day?"

The dark-faced man was surprised. Thirty cents, a block of tofu cost him only two cents, and a plate of tofu didn't even cost thirty yuan. Some people wanted the tofu dregs to feed the pigs, but the price they offered wasn't that high, only two yuan a month.

"How about we calculate it month by month instead of day by day? I think three dollars a month is about right!"

Three yuan a month, even if there were thirty days in a month, or ten cents a day, Xia Ruzheng thought that a bowl of soy milk in the future would be cheap at one yuan. However, the prices of goods cannot be put together.

Wen Zhichao pondered for a moment, then nodded and said, "Okay!"

The two parties agreed that the pot would remain here and Wen Zhichao would come to get it every morning. After Xia Ruzheng had used it and washed it, he would bring it back. When they made tofu in the evening, they would pour the soy milk directly into the pot.

Xia Ruzheng was delighted to have accomplished something. When she returned home that night, under the moonlight, she let out a playful spree, skipping and hopping on her shadow all the way home. Wen Zhichao simply watched with fondness, not trying to stop her.

The next morning, Wen Zhichao brought back a large pot of steaming hot soy milk from the tofu shop. Xia Ruzheng sprinkled a handful of sugar on it, stirred it well, and poured a large bowl of it for Wen Zhichao, saying, "Try it first. After drinking this large bowl of soy milk, your whole body will feel relaxed!"

Wen Zhichao drank a bowl of it with a burrito and found it very refreshing.

Xia Ruzheng kept his promise and gave Wang Fuqiang two spring rolls and a bowl of soy milk. Wang Fuqiang asked a few questions and found that it was sweet after taking a sip!

"There's a little bit of sugar in it, which gives it a good taste."

When the two little devil-like children heard that it was sweet, they couldn't wait to come forward to taste it. It was indeed sweet, so the whole bowl became theirs.

Xia Ruzheng took the bowl away. Chen Mei looked at her back and couldn't help but mutter to Wang Fuqiang, "I didn't even get a taste, and they didn't even offer to bring another bowl."

Wang Fuqiang glared at her and said, "Who do you think they are? Your parents? They give you food and drink for free? They make money from that stuff, too! You're so blind that you only see the tiny benefits!"

Chen Mei retorted dissatisfiedly: "That's also a cheap thing, not worth much money."

Wang Fuqiang said, "Why are you still thinking about it when it's not worth much?"

Chen Mei was suddenly speechless.

Wang Fuqiang couldn't help but sigh. In the past, the wives and mothers-in-law around here were all pretty much the same, so even if his wife had some issues, he wouldn't have thought it was a big deal. But recently, the new tenant's wife was comparing herself to his wife to the sky.

Xia Ruzheng set up his stall again, and Wen Zhichao was still guarding not far away.

This time the young man came again. Xia Ruzheng was grateful to him for opening up the situation for him. Although he only ordered a wrap and a pancake today, Xia Ruzheng still served him a bowl of soy milk.

“This soy milk is sweet!”

Xia Ruzheng deliberately shouted back, "Isn't it? I put sugar in it! It's good for you and makes you feel good!"

After drinking, the young man placed the bowl in the designated bucket and returned the favor, saying, "The boss lady's soy milk is delicious! The pancakes are delicious too! I'll come here every day from now on!"

Xia Ruzheng was happy that he had met someone who was grateful and said, "Great! I've been here forever!"

Hearing that soy milk is sweet, everyone became interested and wanted to try it, especially the children.

Soy milk became popular for a while, as it only cost two cents a bowl.

For those children who had breakfast at home, their parents thought that it was only two cents and it was just a bowl of water, which would not fill their stomachs. So they loosened their grip and bought a bowl for their children. If the children could not finish it, they could drink it themselves. It tasted really sweet and warmed the stomach, dilated the pores, and made people sigh comfortably.

The entire pot of soy milk sold out instantly, and even more pancakes and fried dough sticks were sold, as the remaining ingredients were significantly less than yesterday. Xia Ruzheng hadn't expected such great potential; she was even prepared to drink soy milk like water!

Wen Zhichao still waited until he helped Xia Ruzheng close the stall before leaving. Xia Ruzheng felt more relieved than after drinking soy milk.

As usual, Xia Ruzheng counted the money and indeed earned a few more dollars than yesterday. He was so happy that he rolled around on the bed and asked for more food tonight.

After washing the pots and pans, Xia Ruzheng took the pot to the tofu shop and took some fried dough sticks and rolls to the shop. He thanked Sister Li. Xia Ruzheng obviously felt that Sister Li was easier to deal with than Chen Mei and decided to build a good relationship with her.
