Chapter 14: Banquet Incident (Part 2)
Seeing that the old man of the Gu family had not shown up yet, and Gu Yunting had no idea where he had gone, and she didn't know anyone in the hall, Su Mengxue wanted to go to the yard to get some fresh air.
She walked quickly into the yard, and her eyes were quickly attracted by the pavilion not far away. There was a pond next to the pavilion, with countless fish playing in the water. She sat in the pavilion, quietly enjoying this moment of peace.
But as luck would have it, not long after she sat down, she ran into Gu Xuejiao.
She knew that Gu Xuejiao had come here specifically to find her. She raised her eyelids slightly and warned in a deep voice, "Gu Xuejiao, don't forget what I just reminded you. You won't get any advantage from me."
Ever since Su Mengxue stepped into the front hall, Gu Xuejiao had been secretly waiting for an opportunity. There were many people in the front hall, so it was inconvenient for her to take action. Now that there were only the two of them in the yard, it was a good time for her to take revenge.

Just when she was about to fall into the pond, she grabbed Gu Xuejiao's arm to steady herself, then she quickly stood up, walked behind Gu Xuejiao, and kicked her into the pond.
The water in the pond was not deep, and Gu Xuejiao quickly staggered to her feet. She was soaking wet and screamed, "Help! Help! Help! Quick, help!"
Perhaps Gu Xuejiao's voice was too sharp, but in the blink of an eye, all the guests in the front hall gathered here.
When Sun Suqin saw Gu Xuejiao falling into the pond and Su Mengxue standing beside her, she instantly understood everything. She hurriedly called for someone to rescue Gu Xuejiao, and then sent someone to bring a bath towel and put it on Gu Xuejiao.
When Gu Xuejiao came to her senses, Sun Suqin took her hand and asked knowingly, "Jiaojiao, why did you fall down?"
Gu Xuejiao noticed out of the corner of her eye that except for Gu Yunting, Gu Changhe and the Jiang family, all other guests were present, including Chen Yanzhi and Shen Min.
Her eyes immediately turned red, and she pointed at Su Mengxue with grievance, crying, "It was Sister Su who pushed me down."
As soon as these words were spoken, everyone turned their eyes to Su Mengxue and began pointing at her and whispering.
Sun Suqin turned to look at Su Mengxue and asked coldly, "Mengxue, why did you push Jiaojiao down?"
The ladies who had just been frustrated by Su Mengxue responded one after another: "Yes, Jiaojiao has always been well-behaved and sensible. Why did you bully her?"
Su Mengxue raised an eyebrow and replied without showing any weakness, "I bullied her? It was obvious that she was trying to push me into the water, but I was just stronger than her, and when I tried to save myself, I ended up pulling her down."
Sun Suqin glared at her angrily: "Mengxue, Jiaojiao fell into the water, and you are still spreading rumors about her. Do you think we are all fools?"
Su Mengxue pointed to her clothes and replied, "My clothes were torn by her when she pushed me."
Gu Xuejiao's eyes were red, and she cried in a trembling voice, "It was you who pushed me into the water, and I grabbed your clothes in panic. Sister Su, we have no grudges against each other, why did you do this to me?"
She pondered for a moment, fiddling with the wet hem of her skirt with her fingers. She looked at Su Mengxue pitifully and added, "Just now you said that my clothes would look better on you, and then you pushed me into the water. If you like my clothes, I can give them to you. Why do you have to resort to such tricks and embarrass everyone?"
Before she finished speaking, Gu Xuejiao covered her face and burst into tears. Everyone cast questioning glances at Su Mengxue, and some people whispered, "Who is this unruly girl? Why haven't we seen her before at the Gu family?"
Sun Suqin interrupted at the right moment: "Mengxue, although you are not much older than Jiaojiao, you are about to marry Yun Ting. She will call you auntie. How could you do such a thing?"
As soon as these words were spoken, everyone's eyes widened instantly and discussions broke out one after another.
"Gu Yunting wants to marry her? Who is this girl? She looks nice, but she has a bit of a stubborn temper!"
"Yeah, how come I haven't heard about Gu Yunting having a girlfriend before? He's the most popular man in Jiangbei. If he gets married, I wonder how many girls will cry their eyes out!"
"Isn't Gu Yunting engaged to the Jiang family? But from what Gu Xuejiao said, this girl's surname is Su? What's going on?"
As everyone was whispering, Sun Suqin slowly added, "Mengxue, although you come from the countryside, we have never treated you as an outsider, let alone looked down on you. Why would you do such a foolish thing?"
Gu Yunting was actually going to marry a country girl? Everyone looked at each other, speechless with shock.
A hint of coldness flashed in Sun Suqin's eyes. This morning, Gu Changhe ignored the couple's pleas and insisted on sending Xiangyu to the Public Security Bureau. She knew that Gu Yunting had some influence in front of Gu Changhe, but no matter how she begged him, he refused to say a word for Xiangyu.
Even if Xiangyu was wrong in this matter, how could he have slept with Su Mengxue if he was not willing.
The two of them were obviously hypocritical dogs who took this opportunity to do something secretly, but let her precious son take the blame. How could she swallow this?
She wanted all the powerful people in Jiangbei to know that Gu Yunting was going to marry a country woman. She wanted him to be ridiculed and never be able to hold his head up. She also wanted the Jiang family to turn against him.

She straightened her back and walked out. Just as she passed Sun Suqin, Sun Suqin said coldly, "Mengxue, we will be a family soon. As long as you apologize to Jiaojiao, this matter will be over."
Apologize? Su Mengxue glanced at Gu Xuejiao, who was still sobbing beside Sun Suqin, and sneered: "I didn't do anything wrong, why should I apologize to her!"
"Mengxue, I really didn't expect you to be so unreasonable." Sun Suqin looked angry.
"You really are a family of drama queens!" Su Mengxue sneered without showing any weakness.
"Mengxue, what do you mean by that?" Sun Suqin's tone suddenly rose. "Jiaojiao is soaked. Could it be that we are deliberately accusing you of this? Since you didn't push her, where is the evidence?"
"Didn't you just calculate that I had no evidence?" Su Mengxue sneered, "Gu Xuejiao has evidence? Whatever you say, I have a clear conscience."
She was about to leave after saying this when a voice suddenly rang out from the crowd: "I saw everything that just happened!"
