Chapter 69 Jiang Shiyi forces marriage!

Chapter 69 Jiang Shiyi forces marriage!

Jiang Weilong's eyes flushed crimson. His face flushed red as he gritted his teeth and asked, "Gu Yunting, are you going to break up with our entire Jiang family just for a country woman?"

Gu Yunting's face was sullen, but he remained calm as he said, "If you dare to hurt her, I will fight you to the end with everything I have."

"Gu Yunting, you care about her so much, but she may not care about you." Jiang Weilong sneered, "Last time she was caught selling clothes on the black market, Lu Yuanzhou risked being fired from the hospital to accompany her in the police station. In her heart, Lu Yuanzhou is probably much more important than you."

Gu Yunting's eyes suddenly turned cold. He turned his head to look at Jiang Weilong and asked coldly, "Jiang Weilong, was it you who did this in the black market?"

Jiang Weilong raised his eyebrows with a look of contempt: "So what? She dared to violate the policy and sell clothes on the black market. Shouldn't I report her?"

After he finished speaking, he suddenly leaned closer and lowered his voice, "Gu Yunting, I think you've been bewitched by her and have completely forgotten all the principles and rules of a soldier. For this reason alone, I can't let her stay in Jiangbei any longer."

"Jiang Weilong, how dare you!" Gu Yunting's knuckles suddenly turned white. He took a step forward and grabbed Jiang Weilong's tie tightly, a suppressed growl emanating from his throat: "I'll say it again, liking her is my own wishful thinking. Su Mengxue is innocent. I can tolerate whatever you do to me, but if you dare to touch her, I will never let you go."

Jiang Weilong's eyes flashed with a sinister look, his expression slightly distorted by anger: "Gu Yunting, let me ask you, what about Shi Yi? Isn't she innocent?"

“…”

Jiang Weilong approached him again. "If you hadn't taken Shi Yi out on the street without my permission, how could the traffickers have succeeded? She should have grown up safely and happily in the Jiang family, becoming the most dazzling little princess in all of Jiangbei. But because of your mistake, she has suffered in the countryside for so many years. Now that she has finally found her ancestral home, she is looking forward to fulfilling her engagement with you, but you want to tell her that you have another woman in your heart. How can you expect her to accept this?"

Jiang Weilong caught a glimpse of the change in Gu Yunting's eyes and suddenly raised his voice: "If Aunt Wang hadn't discovered it in time, Shi Yi would have been gone just now. It was you who lost her back then, and that's why my grandfather fell ill and my parents have been depressed for so many years. Gu Yunting, are you willing to destroy our Jiang family?"

Jiang Weilong's words were as sharp as a knife. Gu Yunting's body shook violently when he heard it. The hand that was holding Jiang Weilong's tie suddenly loosened, and the past kept flashing in his mind.

He vaguely remembered that afternoon when Shi Yi begged him to take her to the street. Her soft little hands tightly grasped the corner of his clothes. He was just helping her buy candied haws when she disappeared.

This matter has been buried in his heart for twenty years, and he has been carrying the shackles for twenty years. Now Shi Yi has finally returned, but he almost had an accident because of him again.

Just when he was in a state of confusion and at a loss, Jiang Weilong softened his voice and said, "Gu Yunting, I only have one request of you now, which is to come home with me. As long as you can make peace with the times and live well, I will never interfere with who you are with in the future."

What else could Gu Yunting say? He didn't even bother to wipe the blood off his face before getting in Jiang Weilong's car and heading to the Jiang family's house. It was already midnight, but the Jiang family's house was brightly lit.

After Gu Yunting entered the room, he saw the Jiang couple sitting on the sofa in the living room with sad faces. Jiang Jianguo had a little blood on his fingertips, and Liu Hui covered her face and sobbed.

His Adam's apple rolled heavily, and he walked forward with courage and shouted, "Uncle Jiang! Aunt Liu!"

Upon hearing this, Liu Hui glared at him fiercely and turned away. Jiang Jianguo suddenly raised his head, and when he saw him, a hint of anger flashed in his eyes.

However, Jiang Jianguo quickly regained his composure. He sighed heavily and said in a deep voice, "Yun Ting, I don't blame you for everything that happened in the past. It's a blessing for our Jiang family that Shi Yi is back. She suffered so much in the past. We all hope that she can live a good life in the future."

He paused, stubbed out the cigarette in his hand, and looked straight at Gu Yunting: "If Shi Yi gets hurt again, her grandfather's health might not be able to bear it. She listens to you now, it depends on whether you can persuade her."

Gu Yunting replied with a tight throat, "Uncle Jiang, Aunt Liu, I will try to persuade her."

Jiang Jianguo waved at him: "Okay, go upstairs and see her."

Gu Yunting walked up the stairs with heavy steps. At the corner, he saw Aunt Wang's hunched figure leaning against the door, and a ray of light came through the gap in the room.

He paused, walked quickly to her, and said softly, "Aunt Wang, let me persuade her."

Wang Sujuan felt relieved when she saw Gu Yunting coming. She leaned over to his ear and said, "Just follow the situation and stop provoking her."

Gu Yunting's eyes darkened as he replied, "I understand, Aunt Wang."

Wang Sujuan whispered a few more words to him before leaving.

Gu Yunting took a deep breath and raised his hand to knock on the door. The crying in the room suddenly stopped. After a moment, the door was opened and Jiang Shiyi appeared in front of him with swollen eyes.

Jiang Shiyi saw Gu Yunting and hurriedly turned around to wipe her tears with her sleeve, choking and saying, "What are you doing here?"

"Shi Yi, I came to see you." Gu Yunting felt uncomfortable seeing her like this.

"Come in." Jiang Shiyi walked back to the room, sat on the edge of the bed and wiped her tears.

Gu Yunting hesitated and did not enter.

Seeing this, Jiang Shiyi said coldly, "Since you've come to persuade me, you can't just stand at the door forever, right?"

Gu Yunting had no choice but to go in. He stood by the door frame, thought again and again, and whispered: "Shi Yi, they have been looking forward to seeing you day and night these years. Now that you are back, don't let them worry about you anymore."

Jiang Shiyi stood up suddenly, his eyes red as he asked, "What about you? Have you ever thought about me in all these years? Have you ever looked for me?"

Gu Yunting replied truthfully: "I have, and I have never given up on finding you."

Jiang Shiyi took a few steps forward, tears in her eyes as she asked, "Then how can you bear to hurt me now?"

Gu Yunting met her red eyes and said sternly, "Shi Yi, you can't force relationships. You will meet someone who truly loves you in the future."

"It's impossible forever!" Jiang Shiyi collapsed, covering his face with his hands, and threw himself on the bed, crying bitterly.

Gu Yunting stepped forward and said, "Shi Yi, there are many good men. You..."

"My body has been unclean for a long time!" Jiang Shiyi suddenly stood up and approached him, interrupting him: "That country scoundrel... has ruined my innocence. Gu Yunting, if you don't want me, I would rather die than be stabbed in the back in the future and bring shame to the Jiang family!"
