"What the hell are you doing?"
Looking at the pairs of inquiring and doubtful eyes around him, Su Zhiping wanted to strangle Su Jianwei to death.
Su Jianwei didn't seem to notice Su Zhiping's anger, but put the adjusted speaker in front of Su Zhiping.
She said innocently, "You said you would help me explain."
Su Zhiping glared at Su Jianwei with gritted teeth, "This is not the explanation I'm talking about."
"It's all the same."
Su Jianwei put the loudspeaker in front of Su Zhiping again, almost hitting him directly in the face.
But Su Zhiping is a well-known figure in the steel plant. How could he possibly explain and admit his mistake in front of so many people?
He shouldn't have agreed to that stupid girl's words out of haste, otherwise he wouldn't have fallen into this dilemma. He regretted it.
But when he turned around and wanted to leave, he found that Su Jianwei was holding him tightly.
This damn girl looks so skinny and weak, how come she has so much strength!
Seeing that Su Zhiping refused to cooperate, Su Jianwei pointed the loudspeaker directly at himself.
"Hello everyone, teachers and students of Q City No. 7 Middle School. I'm Su Jianwei, a sophomore."
"I believe everyone has heard of my name quite a bit recently. After all, someone recently handed out flyers at our school gate, falsely accusing my mother of being a mistress and me of being callous and indifferent to my younger brother dying in the hospital."
"Today, I'm bringing the person who distributed the flyers, my biological father, Mr. Su Zhiping, here to explain things to everyone."
Although Su Zhiping tried his best to control himself, his face was already gloomy beyond recognition.
He didn't know whether Su Jianwei in front of him was really hopelessly stupid, so she chose such a stupid way to embarrass herself; or whether she did it on purpose, even if it would make her lose face.
Su Jianwei turned off the speaker and looked at Su Zhiping beside him, seemingly not understanding why he was glaring at her.
"You said you would clarify things for me. As long as you are willing to clarify, I will go back to the capital with you tomorrow."
If only he could take himself away.
Su Zhiping glanced at the teachers and students opposite him, then glanced at the school gate.
There was no one at the school gate originally, but now three security guards and four or five high school students in school uniforms were blocking the way.
Su Zhiping swallowed and said to himself: For the sake of my son, just treat it as if it were for my son.
He gritted his teeth and looked at Su Jianwei, but finally reached out to take the speaker.
He turned and looked at the densely packed crowd of teachers and students standing around him, and said earnestly, "Please forgive a father."
"A father who was desperate to save his son came up with a desperate solution when his son was on the verge of death."
"Su Jianwei's mother and I divorced peacefully, but Weiwei is our child."
"I know she hates me, so she doesn't want Weiwei to save her biological brother, but I can't just watch my son die in the hospital."
"No father would remain indifferent when seeing his son's life hanging by a thread. In order to save my poor son who is not even ten years old, I am willing to be a villain."
Su Zhiping choked up and said, "I just need a little bit of my bone marrow to save her poor brother and keep him alive. He's just a child and he didn't do anything wrong."
Su Jianwei's expression was calm; Wei Zipei frowned slightly; Shi Tianshuo was stunned; the teachers and students around were talking about it.
When Su Jianwei looked at Su Zhiping again, there was a little more admiration in his eyes. He was really good at shifting the focus and even better at acting.
He seemed to have explained it, but apart from clarifying that Lin Yulan was not a mistress, he also made Lin Yulan and Su Jianwei famous for not helping her.
Although everything he did was immoral, it was understandable because of his role as a father.
Su Jianwei looked at Su Zhiping, who was looking at her earnestly, and said, "Weiwei, promise Dad that you will save your brother, okay?"
Su Jianwei reached out to take the loudspeaker from Su Zhiping's hand, but Su Zhiping held it tightly.
He didn't let go until Su Jianwei nodded.
"You're willing to save your brother, aren't you?"
Although Su Zhiping did not have a loudspeaker in his hand at the moment, his voice was still loud enough for everyone in the square to hear.
Su Jianwei looked at Su Zhiping's pressing eyes and said honestly, "I do."
When Su Zhiping heard Su Jianwei's agreement, his heart, which had been hanging in the air, finally relaxed.
Since he had promised in front of so many people, he didn't believe that Su Jianwei would go back on his word.
If she dared to break her promise and not go to the operating table, the rumors in the school would crush her.
"Even though you divorced Mom to return to the city, took all the money from our family, and left Mom, who was pregnant, alone in our hometown, Mom and I still think you had your reasons."
The relaxed smile on Su Zhiping's face froze.
"Although you've never fulfilled your duties as a husband or your responsibilities as a father, Mom and I are truly happy that you've returned to us after sixteen years."
"Even if you came back just to let me, your blood-related daughter, go to the operating table to take bone marrow for your son."
The originally noisy small square suddenly became quiet.
"Dad." Su Jianwei looked at Su Zhiping while crying, "If you are willing to let me call you that."
"I'm willing to donate bone marrow to your son. You said I'd also be willing to donate other organs in case you need them later, as long as I can afford it."
"I didn't say that." Su Zhiping looked at Su Jianwei in panic.
This is just what he thought in his heart, he never said it out loud!
"But Dad!" Su Jianwei's crying voice drowned out Su Zhiping's voice.
"The reason why Mom didn't agree to let me go on the operating table was because she wanted to take the train to see you when it snowed heavily that year. As a result, she accidentally gave birth prematurely, and I was born with a heart disease."
"She was afraid I couldn't afford the surgery on your mouth, so she refused."
The condemning and questioning gazes around him pierced Su Zhiping like sharp arrows.
"Dad." Su Jianwei's eyes were filled with tears.
"Have you ever thought that after you're gone, your wife and children might not be able to survive without money or anyone?"
Su Jianwei took a step forward with the loudspeaker.
"Have you ever thought that when she was waiting for you to come home alone with a big belly, there might be two deaths?"
Su Zhiping retreated step by step until he reached the school gate and had nowhere to retreat.
Su Jianwei turned off the speaker calmly, looked at Su Zhiping and said indifferently:
"Do you believe in karma?"
