Bai Ru'an closed his eyes, his face terribly gloomy. They had only gotten off the train not long ago and were exhausted, both physically and mentally. Yet, they had come back with a belly full of anger. Lin Xiazhu had left, and he didn't want to stay either.
"Mingxuan, where are you going?" Bai Zhengping called out to him.
"Grandpa, why ask so many questions? Where else can I go?" Wherever Xiaozhu is, he will be there too.
Lin Xiazhu carried Lin Xiaoxue out, looked at the dark night sky, and couldn't help but curse under her breath. Damn it, a large area around here is Bai family territory, there are no other residents at all. There are no taxis in the rich area, and Bai family lives alone, so there is no way to get a taxi.
No matter how fast she walked, it would probably take her at least twenty minutes to reach the fork in the road. She lowered her eyes and walked silently forward. Lin Xiaoxue lay on her back, not daring to make a sound, while Lin Taozi jogged close behind her.
Bai Ru'an drove out, honked the horn once before stopping beside them, quickly got out of the car, opened the door and let them in.
Lin Xiazhu hesitated for a few seconds before deciding to get in the car. There was no need to be coy at this time. It was better to go home and rest than to walk until her legs were sore. Besides, Xiao An hadn't done anything wrong, so why should she give him a hard time?
Is this car from the Bai family? Why not take it?
Forty minutes later, Lin Xiazhu and her group returned to their residence. Unexpectedly, they ran into Yan Shi in the elevator. Both of them were stunned for a moment. Yan Shi first frowned and glanced at Lin Xiazhu, and then her attention was drawn to Bai Ruan.

Yan Shi's last half-sentence was stuck in her throat, and she was momentarily speechless. When she came to her senses, Lin Xiazhu and the others had already walked out of the elevator. She looked at the numbers and knew that they lived on the twelfth floor, while she lived on the eighteenth floor.
Having just been humiliated, she didn't have the nerve to go out and argue with him, so she could only reluctantly go up to the eighteenth floor.
Back home, Lin Xiazhu put Lin Xiaoxue on the sofa and asked Lin Taozi to find the first-aid kit. She went to the kitchen to get some water. Damn it, she hadn't even had a proper drink of plain water during her trip to the Bai family. She had just been listening to Bai Xinru and Bai Xinyu, those two women, babbling on and on.
"Xiaozhu, go and rest for a while. I'll cook. It'll be ready soon." Bai Ru'an followed her in, gave her a gentle hug, and then let go.
Lin Xiazhu didn't go out immediately. She leaned against the door frame and watched Bai Ruan's back for a while before sighing and walking out. Bai Ruan paused in her rice-rinsing, blinked her long eyelashes, her eyes flashed, and she also breathed a sigh of relief.
He was really afraid that Xiaozhu would tell him to get out, or even carry him out with one hand, and then he would have nowhere to cry.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Rub it gently, ouch, it hurts so much!" Lin Xiaoxue slumped on the sofa, groaning every now and then. Lin Taozi stopped rubbing her hands when she groaned, and looked at her innocently.
"Stop howling, it's so noisy. You're such a troublemaker. Now you know it hurts, where were you before? You're really something, fighting with Bai Xinyu. Be careful, she might send someone to kill you later." Lin Xiazhu slammed the water glass on the table with a loud bang.
Lin Xiaoxue immediately stopped acting up and obediently lay still. Lin Taozi was stunned for a moment, then quickly poured some more medicinal wine and rubbed it on Lin Xiaoxue's swollen feet.
The living room fell silent. Lin Xiazhu closed her eyes for a nap, not expecting to fall asleep so quickly. She didn't know how long she slept, but she felt a lightness in her body, as if she had been lifted into the air. She immediately opened her eyes and looked.
But she saw a magnified handsome face. Bai Ru'an was carrying her horizontally towards the bedroom. She struggled uncomfortably and whispered, "Put me down quickly. I haven't eaten yet. Why are you sleeping?"
Her stomach rumbled as soon as she finished speaking. She glared at Bai Ruan, struggled free, jumped off his arms, and walked toward the dining table.
"Didn't you cook?" There was nothing on the table.
"Xiaoxue and Taozi have already eaten. They didn't wake you because you were sleeping soundly. The porridge and vegetables are still warm in the pot. I'll go get them." Bai Ruan went to the kitchen to get the food and two sets of bowls and chopsticks.
"Why don't you eat first? What if you get starving?" Lin Xiazhu glared at him reproachfully.
"I wasn't hungry just now." He chuckled as he served her a bowl of porridge, then served himself one as well.
The dishes were brought from her hometown, including tofu and braised pork. After traveling for several days, Lin Xiazhu didn't have a good appetite. She only drank a bowl of porridge and ate two bowls of tofu before feeling full.
She put down her chopsticks and said softly, "Have Taozi and the others gone to sleep?"
"Okay, I'll go back to my room to sleep after I finish eating." Although I was in a soft sleeper and slept on the train, it wasn't very comfortable. Listening to the noise from the tracks made my head feel dizzy.
"Go to bed early after you finish eating. Leave the dishes in the kitchen and wash them tomorrow." Lin Xiazhu yawned and got up to go back to her room.
"Xiaozhu." Bai Ruan suddenly stood up and hugged her from behind, burying her face in her neck, and held her like that without saying anything more.
After waiting a moment, Lin Xiazhu felt a damp, cool sensation on her neck. Her heart clenched. Why was this guy secretly crying? A grown man's tears are so cheap, falling down like that.
"Alright, don't feel wronged. I'm not angry with you, I'm really not angry. I never knew you were such a crybaby. You're getting more and more childish as you get older. I'm really scared of you." Lin Xiazhu sighed heavily, turned around and hugged someone.
The man who was just crying started to take advantage of her after hugging her for a while. He first tentatively kissed her neck, then kissed her again, and slowly moved his lips upwards to find the spot he most wanted to touch.
Lin Xiazhu: "..." That's enough.
She tried to push him away, but his strength suddenly increased, and he held her tightly in his arms, forcefully doing what he had wanted to do for a long time.
Oh well, it feels pretty good, let it be. It's just giving away my first kiss, it's no big deal.
