Chapter Ninety-One: Madam Chen's Past

Bai Junbo is also innocent in this matter. His father, Bai Junbo, is the eldest grandson whom the old man cherishes most. However, his father has entrusted him with the important task of finding him. He has been searching for ten years since he returned to China, but there is still no news.

What could he do? He was desperate. He had used all his connections and searched all over the country, but he still couldn't find them.

“Dad, I’ve tried my best, and I want to find my older brother as soon as possible, but this is beyond my control. Nobody knows what happened to us during those years abroad, and I’m just afraid…”

He wanted to say that his older brother was probably long gone, but his father and grandfather did not accept this guess and were convinced that his older brother was still alive.

"What are you afraid of? Your elder brother is a lucky man, he'll be fine. He's definitely alive and well, maybe he's already married and has children." Father Bai said this, but his eyes were filled with sorrow.

The Bai family is powerful and influential. If his eldest son were still alive, it's impossible that he would have searched for ten years without any news. There's a high chance that something had happened to him. But he's unwilling to accept this fact.

“The Chen family’s son was found to have been switched three years ago, and now they’ve been found. The DNA results are in, and they’ll be bringing him back in a few days. Look at their efficiency, and then look at you.” Mr. Bai looked at his youngest son with disdain.

The relationship between the Chen family and the Bai family is so-so, mainly because the Chen family's family background is not as good as the Bai family's. If the Chen family is a wealthy family, then the Bai family is a top-tier wealthy family. However, the Chen family members are all very arrogant and don't take the Chen family seriously enough.

Bai Junbo couldn't stand it, especially Chen Ziming, a junior member of the Chen family who was about the same age as him. Chen Ziming always wanted to compete with Bai Junbo in everything he did and often provoked him intentionally or unintentionally.

At first, Bai Junbai ignored him, but that guy was like an annoying fly, always buzzing around him, forcing him to take action.

So over the past few years, Bai Junbai has been accommodating him. Whenever Chen Ziming does something, Bai Junbai will inevitably try to sabotage it. Most of the time, Bai Junbai has the upper hand, and only occasionally does he suffer a setback.

Has Chen Ziming's cousin been found?

The speed was indeed fast, which made Bai Junbai very uncomfortable. His older brother was still missing, but his unlucky cousin Chen Ziming was going back to Beijing to enjoy a life of luxury. He had to stir up some trouble.

The story of Chen's long-lost son is so long that it could be told for three days and three nights. Although the Chen family did a good job of keeping it a secret and many people did not know the inside story, Bai Junbo was someone who could keep anything from him.

The story begins with Madam Chen, who was dignified and elegant, and was one of the most beautiful women in the capital at the time. She was also very capable and managed her family's company very well.

But this seemingly virtuous and gentle strong woman had a rather complicated private life before marriage; it is said that she had so many boyfriends that a truckload wouldn't be able to carry them all.

Of course, this is just an exaggerated rumor, probably only a dozen or so at most. I heard that she even carried a baby in private. However, Mrs. Chen has covered up all her dark history very well, and no one knows about it except her best friend.

There's a classic saying from later generations: "Beware of fire, theft, and best friends." Best friends love to steal their best friends' fiancés and boyfriends, and they'll cheat on each other at the drop of a hat.

However, Mrs. Chen did not lose her man to her best friend. What she lost to her best friend was something else entirely: her son was switched with her by her best friend.

Back then, not long after Mrs. Chen's best friend got married, both her husband's and her own family's companies went bankrupt due to problems. Unable to bear the blow, her husband committed suicide by jumping off a building. A month after her husband's death, her best friend discovered that she was pregnant.

At the time, her best friend wanted to abort the child, but because she had been playful like Mrs. Chen when she was young, she had ruined her health. If she had another abortion, she would never be able to get pregnant again. So she had no choice but to give birth to her husband's posthumous child.

Coincidentally, Mrs. Chen was also a month pregnant at that time. The two women conceived around the same time, and their expected dates were also around the same.

At that time, Mrs. Chen still took good care of her best friend out of consideration for their past relationship. Later, she even brought her to her home to help with the pregnancy. On the day of labor, the two women went into labor around the same time, and they gave birth in the same delivery room.

They were supposedly encouraging each other at the time, but a few days later, here comes the important part: her best friend suddenly changed her personality and came to see Mrs. Chen with her child, as if she had become a different person.

"Jiaojiao, your family is so rich, and your husband loves you so much, while I have nothing. Have pity on my child and let my child enjoy a life of luxury in the Chen family instead of yours." These words were both heartless and insane.

Mrs. Chen certainly wouldn't agree, and she immediately had a fight with her best friend.

"I must have been blind to think of you as my best friend. Get out of here right now, and I'll pretend I don't know you anymore."

"You think you can just say you don't know him?" My best friend said with a gloomy face. "The situation is beyond your control now. You have to change whether you want to or not. My son must live a good life."

"Let's be reasonable. Why should your son have to live a good life while my son has to be given to you? If you want me to adopt your son, I'm not against it, but you're so greedy that you want to switch children. You're dreaming." Madam Chen was so angry that she could hardly speak.

She shouldn't have sent the caregiver away. She's still very weak after giving birth, but her best friend is in much better condition. She can't even bring herself to send her friend away.

"Get out of here! If you don't, I'm going to call for help!" Mrs. Chen said angrily.

"I advise you not to shout, or I'll expose your past and let everyone see the debauchery you hide beneath your dignified and gentle exterior. You're just a slut, a despicable person."
