Chapter Thirteen: Unleashed Divine Power

"What? You're going to the county town, and you're setting off in the middle of the night? What am I supposed to do?" Yan Xin protested. There were plenty of wild beasts in these deep mountains and wilderness. She couldn't stay here to take care of the two children.

“If you want to come along, that’s fine, but you’ll have to help carry Xiaoxue and Taozi.” Lin Xiazhu was serious.

"What a joke! My feet are covered in blisters, I can barely walk by myself, how could I possibly carry two more people?" Yan Xin was furious.

Lin Xiazhu was deliberately trying to abandon her, but she wouldn't just sit idly by and wait to die; she was determined to cling to Lin Xiazhu.

"If you can't keep quiet, then shut up. If you keep making noise, I'll throw you outside to be carried off by wolves. If you don't want to die, then behave yourself." You can't spoil this young lady. Give her a smile and she'll take advantage of you.

"You dare..." Yan Xin shuddered when she saw the deep look in Lin Xiazhu's eyes. She felt a chill run down her spine when she thought about how Lin Xiazhu had been angered to death by her in her past life.

The three children had already fallen asleep in the next room. Lin Xiazhu stared at Yan Xin for a long time. Although no one was speaking, the surroundings were not quiet.

The sounds of various insects, the occasional shrieking of birds, and the faint growls of other wild beasts were exceptionally clear in the night, sending chills down one's spine.

Yan Xin didn't dare to breathe too loudly, and almost suffocated from holding her breath.

"Cha Cha and I set off at two in the morning. If all goes well, we'll be back by evening. As long as you take good care of Xiao Xue and Tao Zi, I won't treat you badly." Lin Xiazhu was preparing to sell both the big and little wild boars.

As long as Yan Xin's performance satisfies her, she can give her some pocket money.

Yan Xin nodded obediently. How could she dare to refuse?

She had no doubt that if she dared to say "no," Lin Xiazhu would throw her into the wolf pack.

Actually, she was overthinking it. There were many other wild animals in these deep mountains, but no wolf packs. Otherwise, why would Lin Xiazhu dare to bring her sisters along?

This night was destined to be a sleepless one. After hearing the noise next door, Yan Xin quickly got up. When she opened the door, she saw Lin Xiazhu carrying a wild boar weighing about 300 pounds, ready to set off.

Lin Chacha was dragging a large wooden plank with wild boars on it. These wild boars had been punched by Lin Xiazhu when they woke up and were now unconscious.

"You're leaving already? Well, be careful." Yan Xin genuinely hoped that nothing would happen to them, since she still needed Lin Xiazhu to help her get out of the mountains.

"Keep the gate closed, and remember not to leave the area within the wall during the day. I've set traps all around, so there's no danger of wild beasts coming in. Take care of my sister." Lin Xiazhu's words reassured Yan Xin, who nodded vigorously.

After walking for a while, Lin Xiazhu put the wild boar on the thick wooden plank that Lin Chacha was dragging, which startled Lin Chacha.

"Sister, where would I get the strength to drag so many pigs? Please don't make things difficult for me."

Lin Xiazhu rolled her eyes and snatched the thick rope from Lin Chacha's hand. "I'll pull it. You hurry up and don't get lost."

After saying that, Lin Xiazhu dragged the wild boar ten meters away in a flash. Lin Chacha was stunned for a moment, rubbed her eyes, and quickly followed.

"Sister, slow down, be careful not to fall." Lin Chacha held a flashlight and tried to run ahead of Lin Xiazhu to help light the way, but no matter how fast she ran, she couldn't keep up.

She knew that she and her sister were stronger than average. She originally thought that their strengths were not much different. Her sister was two years older than her, and she thought that when she grew up, she would be as strong as her sister.

But now she was uncertain. Not only was her older sister strong, but she was also incredibly fast. She was struggling to catch up with her even when she was empty-handed. The difference seemed quite significant.

With Lin Xiazhu deliberately speeding up, they arrived back in Linjia Village at 3:30 and went straight to Lin Shanfu's house.

Just as Lin Chacha was about to knock on the door, Lin Xiazhu stopped her and whispered, "You stay here and watch over things. I'll go in and call someone."

Then she climbed over the wall. The wall was 1.3 meters high, and Lin Xiazhu climbed over it easily, but Lin Chacha thought it was incredible. She always felt that her older sister had abilities that she couldn't understand.

Lin Xiazhu woke up Old Lady Lin first. When Old Lady Lin heard the knocking, she habitually raised her voice, "Who the hell is knocking on the door in the middle of the night? Don't tell me it's some wandering ghost."

Despite cursing, she showed no fear. Soon, Old Lady Lin put on her coat and came to open the door. Before she could even see who it was, she was pulled out of the door.

"Grandma, wake up my uncle quickly, I need his help." Lin Xiazhu, an eight-year-old child, couldn't sell wild goods by herself, mainly because she didn't want people to ask too many questions.

For example, who hunted the wild boar, how did they get it to the county town... and without adults around, the merchant might try to lower the price.

Although the Lin Shanfu family looked down on the Lin Shanlai family, they were still clear-headed when it came to important matters and would help with this small favor; otherwise, Lin Xiazhu wouldn't have come to them.

"Oh dear, take it easy. I'm so old, you're going to break my bones." Old Mrs. Lin knew that the two girls from her second son's family were incredibly strong, and she was really afraid that if the eldest girl didn't know her own strength and pulled again, she would cripple her.

"Why are you looking for your uncle? What brings so many things to do in the middle of the night?" These past few days, the Lin family has been busy with rice planting and hasn't paid much attention to the second branch of the family. They don't even know that the four sisters have gone deep into the mountains.

When Lin Shanfu was woken up, they were all surprised to see the large wild boar outside the door. "This, this is what you two sisters brought back?"

“Yes, Uncle, hurry up and bring your cart over so we can take it to the county town and sell it for a good price. Then we'll have money.”

Lin Chacha was somewhat smug. Not everyone has the strength to knock out a fully grown wild boar; she and her older sister were invincible.
