On the day they went to town, Lin Xiazhu rented a tile-roofed house. The landlord had bought land on the street and built a new building, so he rented out the old house. The house was quite big, and the four sisters all thought it was too big.
"Do you know how to move bricks when you go to the construction site tomorrow?" Lin Xiazhu asked Yan Xin.
The latter looked completely bewildered.
Lin Xiazhu sighed and patiently taught her, "The construction workers will give you a carrying pole and two manure baskets. You can put the bricks into the two manure baskets, carry them upstairs, and dump them next to the bricklayers."
"What is a dung basket?" Yan Xin was even more confused.
"It's like a winnowing basket, a bamboo product made of woven bamboo strips that you can use to carry things. You'll see when the time comes. Work hard, or you'll be fired and unemployed." Lin Xiazhu said meaningfully.
"Really?" Yan Xin was overjoyed. She would definitely be fired then, which was great.
Lin Xiazhu rolled her eyes. If this guy hadn't stolen her ginseng, she could have treated him better.
