In her past life, Cha Cha's life was even worse than hers. After getting married, she was often abused by her husband. She endured it all until one day, she suddenly snapped and beat her husband to death.
Then he drank pesticide himself.
Because she was lame in one leg, she was forced to marry an older man and was subjected to domestic violence.
Because of her limp, despite her seemingly fierce exterior, Cha Cha is actually extremely insecure. Otherwise, how could someone with immense strength endure domestic violence?
She was only twenty-five years old when she died, so young...
"Can ginseng sell for a lot of money?" Lin Chacha was young and had never seen ginseng before, but she had heard the village aunts and grandmothers talk about it and knew that it was a good thing.
"Sister, how did you know there was ginseng here? Who told you?" Lin Chacha wasn't suspicious of anything, but she thought that if ginseng were so easy to find, would they even have a chance?
Lin Xiazhu's reverie was interrupted, and she suddenly came back to her senses.
"Nobody told me. I just saw that this place was filled with mystical energy, and very few people dared to come up here, so I figured there must be something good inside."
"But you just said with such certainty that there are wild ginseng here, as if you've been here before." Lin Chacha was never one to be afraid to ask questions.
Yes, I didn't come here in my past life.
Lin Xiazhu thought to herself, but remained outwardly calm. "The most valuable thing in the mountains is ginseng. Does that mean wild boar is the most valuable thing?"
Although she was determined to have both of them.
Lin Chacha swallowed hard. She thought the wild boar was more exciting, but she and her sister probably couldn't beat it no matter how strong they were.
Because of her memories from her previous life, Lin Xiazhu easily led Lin Chacha to the place where the wild ginseng grew. The wild ginseng was growing near the edge of a cliff, with six or seven plants around it.
These were all ginseng roots that were over a hundred years old. This time, Lin Xiazhu, being experienced, dug up three of the oldest ones and left the rest untouched. She wasn't greedy; the money from selling the three roots would be enough for her to get through her current predicament.
"Sister, there are still four plants left. If we don't dig them up, someone else will get them for free."
Lin Chacha rolled up her sleeves, ready to dig up the remaining ginseng, but Lin Xiazhu's lips twitched as she stopped her. "Chacha, don't dig anymore. It's not safe here. Did you hear that? It sounds like wild boars are coming."
Lin Xiazhu was talking nonsense. In their previous life, they came to dig for ginseng when they were teenagers. Now they've come several years earlier. The wild boar that caused them so much trouble in their previous life is probably still in its mother's womb.
Just as I was thinking that, there was a noise in the distance, the grunting and growling of wild boars, and it sounded like there was more than one.
So not only was that wild boar born, but it also brought helpers? Did it anticipate her return for revenge?
"Sister, there really are wild boars!" Lin Chacha's eyes lit up at first, then she exclaimed in surprise, "Sister, what should we do?"
She wanted to take the wild boar back, but she knew in her heart that she and her sister were not capable of doing so, and that escaping was the priority. However, when she turned around, there was a sheer cliff behind her, and the way back ahead was already surrounded by wild boars.
Lin Chacha was so frightened that her face turned pale, her legs went weak, and she almost fell over.
A commotion broke out among the low trees and tall grass not far away, and soon a wild boar weighing nearly three hundred pounds was revealed, followed by a group of little wild boars grunting and squealing as they followed.
It turned out to be a mother wild boar with more than a dozen piglets out foraging for food. Lin Xiazhu narrowed her eyes and scanned the piglets with a predatory gaze. The wild boar that caused her and her sister to fall off the cliff in her past life was undoubtedly one of these piglets.
She quickly shoved a hammer into her second sister's hand, then clenched her own skinny fist and looked at it. "Forget it," she thought, "if I punched that, the wild boar probably wouldn't die, but my hand would break first. I'll use the big hammer instead."
"Don't be a coward. I'll take care of the sow, and you deal with the piglets. Try to knock them unconscious. If any run away, don't chase them. This area isn't safe; there might be other, even more ferocious wild animals around." Lin Xiazhu said firmly, lifting her second sister, whose legs were weak.
"Sister, can you beat them? Don't be reckless, let's try to escape." Lin Chacha was uncertain; she didn't want to die.
There was no escape. The sow's eyes were ferocious, and she was about to attack, pawing the ground with her legs. She clearly didn't take the two frail human children seriously at all.
Sure enough, less than ten seconds later, the mother wild boar charged over with a loud screech. Lin Xiazhu pushed Lin Chacha aside forcefully, "Go catch the piglets, stay away, don't get hurt."
Lin Xiazhu was strong; with one push, she sent Lin Chacha flying six meters away. After giving her instructions, her eyes sharpened, and as the sow charged, she kicked it on the head.
The sow tried to push it up a few times, but found that she couldn't budge it. She was stunned and couldn't understand how a human who looked thin and small with hardly any flesh on his body could have the ability to fight against her.
This is intolerable. A wild boar weighing over 300 pounds can't even beat a human weighing less than 50 pounds. How will it survive in this mountain forest in the future?
The mother boar probably forgot that this was her first time entering this forest. She used to roam on other hills. Today, her piglets seemed to be possessed and ran wildly here. The mother boar had no choice but to follow in order to protect her piglets.
Since they were already there, the sows started foraging right there, and that's when they encountered the Lin Xiazhu sisters.
The sow could never have imagined that Lin Xiazhu and her sister, along with one of her pig sons, were sworn enemies from a past life, and had come specifically to seek revenge.
After several dozen rounds of fighting, Lin Xiazhu found an opportunity to leap onto the sow's back and then smashed down with a hammer, knocking the sow unconscious.
At the same time, Lin Chacha also knocked down six or seven wild boars, and a few of them ran away.
Lin Chacha, whose legs had been trembling just moments before, had now forgotten her fear. Holding the iron hammer, she gritted her teeth and excitedly said, "Sister, we did it!"
