Chapter 513: The New Colleague Who Overworks (1/2)

The new colleague was stunned by what Jiang Jie said to Wang Juan, and his face was full of disbelief.

I originally thought that Wang Juan's words would shock many people, but when I looked at Wang Juan and then at the other classmates, I found that they all had expressions that showed they were not surprised at all.

Did Wang Juan always mean this? Jiang Jie glanced at the other colleagues.

A colleague who had a good relationship with Jiang Jie mentioned the Zhao family in her ear.

Jiang Jie was shocked. "How can a mother-in-law be so partial to her?"

I told her that the situation was different, but I didn't expect Jiang Jie to blurt it out. It was so embarrassing.

Wang Juan looked at the other person's surprised expression and felt it was so incongruous no matter how she looked at it. Apart from other people's relationship with the Zhao family, at least everyone in the street office knew about it and would mention it privately.

Who would have thought that this lady, who has been working in the street office for a long time, didn't even know about these things. It really gives people a very fake feeling.

"Of course there are parents who are partial to each other. They always have a favorite and a least favorite child. My child's father just can't be the son that his parents like." Wang Juan said indifferently.

After Jiang Jie finished speaking, she noticed Wang Juan's gaze towards her and immediately regretted it.

Maybe she was trying too hard, otherwise how could she say such a thing? Actually, many people in the street office and the surrounding alleys knew about the messy relationship between Zhao Lei and his mother.

As a result, she had to put on an expression of surprise and shock. Well, Jiang Jie was really annoyed and of course worried.

The mission had just started, no progress had been made, and she needed to get closer to Wang Juan, but she actually did something stupid.

Just when she started to rack her brains, thinking about how to fool everyone, she found that everyone's topic had changed and no one paid attention to what she had just said.

Jiang Jie couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief after knowing that the topic had been changed. She was really worried that Wang Juan would keep on talking about the previous topic. What should she do then?

But soon she felt uncomfortable again. He changed the subject so quickly. It seemed that he looked down on her and didn't care about what she said at all. Otherwise, why would this happen?

Wang Juan had no time to care about Jiang Jie. She was busy chatting with her colleagues and would have to start working soon so that she could find time to look after the child.

Thinking of this, Wang Juan missed Ping An especially. She stared at this little ancestor every day, watching him grow up day by day. There was a huge difference between his appearance which looked a bit like an old man when he was just born.

Even though Aunt Hao and Aunt Ding had repeatedly assured him that Ping An would grow up to be a handsome young man, Zhao Lei and his wife, who had never had children, were still half-believing and half-doubting.

Now looking at the increasingly handsome little Ping An, well, Wang Juan just wants to say that some people should listen more to the advice of those who have experienced it.

Aunt Liu was handing over the task. She had taken over everything during Wang Juan's maternity leave. Now she was handing over the task, but she didn't get a reply from her and she looked like she was lost in thought.

Aunt Liu knew her current state very well. "Maybe you miss Ping An."

Wang Juan really didn't expect to be caught red-handed. She nodded and said, "Yes, he and I were together during the day."
